how about creeping then? u should have seen how easier it is to creep with vitorrio than any other haven hero.
i just don't think i am willing to abandon the triple ballista and the tent... later it becomes a quadriple flaming ballista which can really help you in the end fight, especially when combined with luck. i am willing to drop leadership,. the bad thing being there is quite a chance no to be able to do so with haven.

if i don't get war machines, i'd probably pick maeve as starting hero...

If you mean the last mission with Arantir you need to put 4 necromancers in the 4 altars that are near each haven town. Unfortunately you will have to sacrifice Ornella too.

sure that ballista perform excellent in creeping and it is reasonble to take warmachines on a small map.
but on the large map which you can not rush..you will meet your oppenent when both of you have a decent levels, so how about the cold death which can take the ballista away in one hit,and the warlock can cast a shower that destroys the ballista with some of your other troops,so there are many ways to deal with the ballista in later game and it means that your Flaming arrows and the warmachine skill and all its perks will be a waste..
atuclly,with the new crossbowman.I think it should not be so hard for the haven in creeping.

hmm...haven probably will not drop light magic when play against nero..otherwise it would go darkmagic and seal of darkness..it could be a pain but still there is nothing differet for you to take the skill.

and on a small map,summon magic could be batter than attack.

Does anyone else find knight's ultimate useless compared to the other race ultimate? retaliation strike itself was useless except maybe for early game.....

Indeed, it and the dungeon ultimate just seem a bit less then the others.  Maybe not worthless, but with much better places to put your points.

well, look at that ths way - the knight has so maaany good skills they don't need their ultimate. making a comparison with Heroes 3 grail structures and sylvan's ultimate, it would have been great if the knight's ultimate granted a morale bonus every time a unit does something

oh sorry,i must have misread something,and honest opinion about unstoppable charge=.anyway,i have been trying other factions (other than necropolis,i play as necromancer way too much).so,i went to try academy and they seem good,no balance issues,but am not sure about skill builds,i been thinking this (Jhora as hero,no need for swift mind.all skills are expert unless i have writen level):

advanced artificier (expert is kinda waste IMO,since forge arties cost alot)-Mage mirror-Mark of wizard

Summoning-Master of conjure-master of earthblood-Fog veil

Sorcery-arcane training-mana regeneration-counterspell

Enligthment-Intelligence-Arcane intiution-Graduate (am not sure about this skill row at all)

Ligth magic-Wrath-Blessings-Refined mana (archmagies need this)

Defence-vitality-protection-(am not sure should i take resistance or power of stoneskin)

Academy does not need that many perks. Also I tend to choose the type of magic while ingame, after I check the magic guild, library and available artifacts(tomes specifically). Defense is good but only for long games.

Typical builds can be three magic types with sorcery, flaming arrows with 1 magic type, two magic with attack/def and sorcery. For early better to focus on summoning and destructive, late light/dark seems better to aim for. A pure destructive build with warlock's luck and elemental boosting arties is also good for long games.

It dosen't walk to trap,if its occupied square it will not walk on it.

last mission zehir when i have the 3 rd gold mine that idiot man attacks a castle how can i win? there are about 400 succubus 16 demon lords 46 pit spawns 600 horned 30 stalions pls pm i can't pass it

I used the reserection rune on the Thanes and Lava dragons, when they have small numbers. You can also avoid attacking the gated demons, because you win when all original demons are dead.

If you have given some decent items, skills(use memory mentor) and spells(esp earthquake) to him on the previous mission then it will be easy. You don't even need to use any rune. He has really bad skills to start with so its important that you rearrange them before you finish mission 3. I finished that battle with like 10% losses and 0 rune usage.

Light is also > destruction magic for this fight.  Divine vengence and mass haste especially.  Make sure he has the full dwarven outfit before finishing the previous map also.  Free Mass Deflect Missile and Mass Endurence helps .. a LOT.  You will probably have to stop him on way to the castle (you can do this when he first appears by selecting him and then clicking on somewhere besides the castle mutliple times).   Then rearange his artifacts.

how can I pass the first campaign with zehir. Because it is too hard. I fight a dungeon hero, I beat him, and then another one appears with huge numbers. Tell me what to do.
