Ready for a stupid question? What folder to replays go in? I know what your thinking. A 4 star hero doesn't know this. Well, I never used replay, but some of these things are catching my attention.

No worries, many seem to miss that because it's not in the game directory.

What can I say, they like touching the sprites. Wouldn't you?
Seriously though it's a known tactic, they are easily diverted

It depends on what? I mean, why did they not finger my wardancers and just my sprites?

Here we see the poor defenseless haven take down the ridiculous garrison in hourglass on week 3(!). Thanks sq79, was quite a sight
Damn he did all that with 5 spellpower and barely lost any army..

The best part is when 1 death knight kills ~30 griffs due to a deadly retaliation strike

That part sent shivers down my spine Btw amazing what resurrection can do. To make use of it against human players you need to have a decent spellpower but against neutrals..

Any info from skills/arties? (Apart from light, machines and basic defense). Maybe sorcery? 'cause his resurrection costed only 7 mana if I remember well. (Ofc a lot of arties can reduce the cost as well)
Ring of machine affinity is always nice to see with WM specialists )

Yeah About the mana cost I'd bet on ring of Sar Issus.
I'll ask about the skills but I'm pretty sure he had logistics. I noticed that he did not have flaming arrows, that would have helped a lot too.

I noticed how it's essential to have logistics on maps like HG.
If not, the oponent will have it and will finish the map much faster than you

Logistics is just too useful, many good perks and overall usefulness. That is especially true for large maps - the idea is to consider if a skill slot on that skill will pay off more that an extra might or magic skill and usually it does if you gain a better level, capture more artifacts than your opponent.
Yesterday I attacked the archangel horde on let's fight on week 2 day 7 which almost certainly means getting first the utopia. And taking down lots of magmas two days earlier was not easy, they are damn tough.

Well, what I'm saying is, this game, at its high levels of game play becomes too uniform. I mean, there are too many must skills in actual builds, which actually makes it really unchanging. For example, how many heroes don't end up with expert logistics and triple flaming ballista?
That's already 3 skills used up and minimum 11 levels into this.

If you play the same maps it is possible that your skill choices will be similar to an extent. Skills depend on when the battle will take place and how aggressively you plan to play but also your opponent.
My skills have changed more than once with the same faction for one reason or the other.

On any map, the only skills that i constantly take are destruction and enlightenment when i play dungeon. After those, sorcery, logistics, dark, light, summoning, luck, defense, attack, warmachines... hmm... i think i picked almost all of them

Aha... high attack, good knowledge think about it

I would prefer destruction, enlightenment, attack, leadership and light vs academy in a might build, as Retribution with the High init of Dungeon Creatures is good.
But Flaming Arrows is always a strong pick.
