My favourite hero died at the end of WAR3 TFT (or so we thought), only to be revived in WOW's expansion so you can kill him again. (that's mhm..... )

no girl is in love with him (Tyrande loves Malfurion and if by the second you mean Vashj, that's not the case; Illidan freed her naga and now she has a debt to pay)

I can't figure out how he survied? . And Hmm? Wasn't Tyranda with Illidan for a while? She seemed to fancy him a little..

Naah, she had feelings for him but it wasn't love
How he survived it's curious; Vashj and Kael draged him in outland where in time the wounds healed (hmm... his chest and belly was split open - c'mon nobody survives such a blow)

Maeve is the one that delivers the final blow in WoW TBC. she is his sworn enemy.
Upon dying Illidan says something like this
"you win Maeve but know this, the hunter is nothing without the hunt"

Actully its funny, Blizzard havn't given us a reason for how he survied? They are always so thorough in there story telling and lore..

I loved Illidan in Wc3:TFT.
He looked so cool and was so awesome.
But then he became mad like every other lore character and became so uncool in TBC... -.-
I hope Mal'furion (his brother) ressurects him and he will train the Demon Hunter hero class later.
And Arthas is not undefeatable. The Lich Kings has huge armies but he is not super god-like strong himself.

i ment that nobody couldnīt defeat him since reign of chaos nobody: Malganis, the blackrock clan, sylvanas windrunner, burning legion(in frozen throne), kaelthas, sylvanas windrunner in frozen throne and illidan.

At one occasion, blizzard representative said they should have made illidan's fate more clear in W3:TFT, and that not clearing it up is one of their bigger mistakes.
Apparently there are unused audio files in game which tend to prove he was just wounded/humiliated by Arthas, not killed.
