Game freeze problem - The Empire of the World II
Hey everyone,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but I didn't find a technical forum, so here goes.
I've been playing The Empire of the World II (a single player rpg type of map for those who haven't played it) for a while and I have encountered a problem. The game freezes, no error message or anything, it just freezes. It happens when I change turn, always at the exact same place (over an AI castle), and I don't know what to do!
I have a saved game two rounds before the freeze, and I have tried everything, but it always freezes at the same place. The only thing I can do is activate the unlimited movement cheat, but my hero becomes too weak after a while since I don't get reinforcements.
I have been playing for almost 19 in game months, so I'm not so keen on replaying it, and what if the same thing would happen if I did?
So, does anyone have any advise on what I could do to fix this bug, or maybe skip that one turn somehow?

The problem on those costom map often seems to be the time issue. If u play longer than let's say 16 or 17 months, game freezes. Not sure why, but could probably have to do with time events, which happen to the comp (additonal army every 28 days, additonal money etc...).
So the only hint I can give ya is, play faster..
Your current game seems to be lost. You should play again, and for the matter of fact you know much about the map already, game should be faster 2nd time.

I never finished it either, I think it was because my gold became higher than the computer memory space alloted to it.

I tried trading away my gold (900 000 000 ) but no difference

Yeah, you're probably right. I'm gonna start a new single player map, and then we'll see if I'll try this one again in the future
