If there's creatures I miss, it's the ones from the beginning: Pikemen, Trolls and Nomads for instance. Even though they added lots of new creatures i ToE, I think it was a bit dissapointing they didn't include any neutrals - for the sake of tradition.

Ha ha ha and what's so cool about them

I donīt know, but of all units it is the Troglodyte who iīve liked most. I simply like their looks.

And as said before, many times actully on other treads, the roc/thunderbird has been replaced by: Wyvern, Pao kai. I know not the same but still, same abilities(allmost).. So they are in the game.

The roc is not at all the same creature as the thunderbird and it's definitely not anything near a lizard like alien which the pao kais seem to be.... A roc is a big bird with feathers, a nice friendly creature that Gandalf uses to fly in LotR if you remember. It appears in wizard castle in heroes 2 and stronghold castle in heroes 3. Wyverns appered in swamp castle in heroes 3 and are akin to dragons. Thunderbirds were an upgrade of the roc in heroes 3 and existed on their own in heroes 4. Thunderbirds are originally found in native american mythology.

When I mentioned the elegant flying Pegasus, hell was brought upon me. Now somebody even misses these blind diggers.

@kermit: I thought they simply call it eagle, despite the size.

Maybe a bit off-topic but...

Is there comming any chance that they will make Age of Mythology 2?
Because the first game was really good.

Starcraft 2 has better graphics than old Age of Mythology, and Starcraft 2 isnt even close to beta

The "Age of" series are going to an end.. They've gone from stoneage to  around 1850 or something..

And yeah, AoM was just a spinoff and not nearly as awesome as AoE : ) Although it WAS awesome..!

My theory is that by 2010 there will be a sequel of some kind either in development.

Greeks
Atlanteans
Egyptians

Persian/Arabians
-Rocs
-Flying Carpets
-Genies
-Those grabby Guys

Norse

Celtic/Balkan
-Druids
-Vamps
-Werewolves

Expansion:
Bestial
Animals in an organized religion, joining up to try to bring peace between the warring factions.
GODS:
-Herne
-Sita
-Skart

Christian
The new Christian mythology wishes to wipe out unbelivers.
GODS:
-Father
-Son
-Spirit

sounds good, but the christian one would be far too controverstal.

i personally think that it would be much more about taking a tribe from its humble origins to fruition in a mighty empire. (i like sandbox campaigns). different major gods vying for position, possibly all around the world, in China, America, Mesopotamia, Britain, Greece, Egypt, Norse, as the titans try and escape again.

No titans.  That's like the only plot people seem to come up with in Greek Mythology. Seriouly:
Percy Jackson and The Olympians
Age of Mythology
Oh My Goddess (Charmed)

The list goes on and on and on!
