Stronghold structure analysis... (help me!)

After the release of the full Stronghold screenshot, me and Angelspit decided to put up a structure page for Stronghold on CHU (and not only the creature page as planned). But I need some ideas for structure names and abilities. Mostly the unique buildings.
What I got so far:



Castle



Hall





Dunno what this fellow is called. Might Guild? And what is it for?


Prison



Tavern



Caravan Structure



Blacksmith



Unique building 1

Probably the breeding pit? Increases the creature production...


Unique building 2

Maybe a marketplace with the resource silo build? (UnkaHaakons idea)

Unique building 3

Maybe an arena, similar to the Coliseum in H2? Providing inspiring spectacles to defending troops, raising their morale when defending against a siege? It could also have an additional effect, like training heroes in might skills?

Unknown Level 2 Dwelling

If the troll is the missing level 2, this would be the troll dwelling.

That's very interesting. There is a big structure right where the mages guild would be, and it looks like a mages guild type building. But we know it's most likely not.

Perhaps it gives some basic mage type functions like recharging spell points without providing spells. Just a wild guess though.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

The "un-Mage Guild" could be an artifact merchants maybe...?

It could be something where you can pay to learn Secondary or Primary Skills(Combat, Tactics, Scouting, and Nobility) - like the old Magic School in Conflux.

Maybe the "un-Mage guild" is some kind of portal ?
 Though portal is a magic (a no-no for a barbarian) building, who know (3do & NWC ).

Some early sources said the Bredding Pit would be instead of the Mage Guild. So perhaps the tower increases creature production?

For everything but the 'Un-mage-guild', take a look at the other town screenshots, since buildings in a similar place are presumably similar in function.

I believe two of the distinct things we have been told about the Stronghold are:
A Breeding Pit for increased creature production
A Blacksmith shop that sells more articles.

Since that tower where everyone else's mage guild goes could not by any stretch of the word be called a 'Pit', the best guess would be an expanded Blacksmith's shop to buy potions, artifacts, etc. <insert 'shrug' emoticon here> Artifact merchant is as good a name as any for now.

Looking at the at another town (Ayslum) and the Stronghold side by side, I believe Unique #2 may be the resource silo. The stonghold structure is reminiscent of a mine of sorts, and the Asylum structure reminds me of some sort of small chemical plant (for producing sulfur?)

It looks like in some towns it's the marketplace/resource silo.

Maybe it's not a pot of gold, but a pot of mercury? The phoenix resource, and there for a posible resource silo for Preserve?


But why does some towns have it and some towns not? Every town should have a marketplace...

Actually Preserver, I would switch around the Beserker and Centaur dwellings... the beserkers can climb stairs, and the centaurs would probably be better suited living in a longer open building like that. I don't know, but I think that's what it is because if you have centaurs living in the little houses with stairs on them... it doesn't seem right... a little to "civilized" for centaurs (they've always lived in caves and stables... open and simple)

Interesting thought, but in all the other towns the production window shows the creatures in the order their dwellings are placed in the town. And the Stronghold screenshot shows the berserk icon at the left, so the level 1 dwelling to the left is the berserk dwelling. BTW the vikings also lived in such houses. And there's no fireplace in a stable...
Dajek, the prison is placed under the might guild on my list.

I heard somewhere (it was from one of the interviews in November) that Harpies are in Stronghold, so that may be the mystery level 2 dwelling.

And Barbarian, that page is the one that Preserver and Angelspit are updating, in case you didn't realize.

Celestrial Heavens is probably as updated as your going to find. But just remember that most of the unique buildings they list are just wild guesses and we don't really know what most of them will do.

About the Might guild.

It makes sense to be connected with the weekly production of the creatures. With each upgrade, player can recieve greater production for another level of creatures.

1st level boosts - 1st creature level production
2nd - 2nd and so on...

And I agree with Unka Haakon, about that artifact merchants thingy. And Blattner said that there will be more potions to be bought in the Might guild. It's possible that with higher levels you get stronger potions.
