Thanks, that was a good plan. I came up with an idea to a feature: you can the see on the hero what artifacts he has on it ex: like the angel wings on Markal C3M5. of course it could be easy to find out what artifacts you have, but you take them on to use them, so why shouldn't they show then?

i got a message from ted, saying that he is passing over responsibility to the line-up for the hive to me.

heres what i've got so far, don't expect stats anytime soon.

lvl1: larvea-> spawn/ripper
larvea are the lowest form of faceless that have been recorded in history. their purpose in a conquest is to consume all the biomass in area, finally resigning their bloated forms to the digestion pools where it can be broken down and converted into building materials and creatures. spawn are far more tougher than larvea, after much adaption to the harsh environments, whilst the rippers are able to crawl onto an enemy, gradually leaching blood and essence of them. when Larvea begin to harvest, its already too late.

lvl 2: critter-> slasher / fleshborer
Critters are the basic fodder for the hives forces. tireless, hungering creatures, moving swiftly across the battlefields, armed with hooked talons and nashing teeth. whilst many people see critters as small and weak compared to other facless creatures, but in numbers they are able to overwhelm much bigger monsters. Slashers are able to leap into enemy lines, whilst fleshborers eject a strange beetle that feeds on flesh. Critters are without name or number.

lvl 3: burrower-> tunnel worms / lasher worm-
burrowers are strange, alien creatures that can dig huge holes within a few second. their specialty is underground assault, where they will tunnel underground, then spring up and and devour the unsuspecting creature, or drag them under. tunnel worms can create tunnels for easy movement on the battlefield for other creatures, whilst lasher worms claw at the opponents before devouring them.

Damage Range: 5-5

lvl 4: warrior-> Carrion / terrors
the warrior elite of the faceless hordes, Warriors are bioengineered to seek out and destroy vital enemy units. the humming of wings and the smell of dead meat draws them close. if these creatures survive long enough, then they will either change into carrion, who eat the dead to regain health and vilatity, or Terrors, who feed of morale, luck and fear.

Defence: 9
Damage Range: 10-10

lvl 5: screamer-> chargers /shreiker
when the screamers come into battle, bellowing at the top of their voices, vomiting acid in between shrieks, hiding under thick carapaces. they are the shock troops of the faceless, able to undertake horrific punishment, only to scream back into shape. Chargers are able to slam into enemies with a force to knock them flying, whilst Shriekers can even start to destroy the mana itself.

attack: 11
Defence: 9
Damage Range: 12-14
Initiative: 7
speed: 9

Defence: 7
Damage Range: 10-19
Initiative: 6
speed: 4
health: 60
mana: 0
shots: 0

lvl6: brain-> enslaver/ beholder
Brains are a more rescent addition to the Hives forces, rumored to be one of the few faceless who kept their minds intact after their experimentations. this could certianly be true, as the brains have a terrible ability to suck out mana from the atmosphere and cast spells with it. Enslavers and Beholders are worse, as Beholders have the ability to freeze and opponent in their tracks, and enslavers are able to convert enemies onto the hives side, ready for processing.

lvl7: harvester-> monstrous harvester/ havoc
even dragons fear the tread of the harvesters, because that truly means the end of all life. hulking, monstrous creatures, a forest of blades on its back, a huge gaping maw for creatures to be swallowed, pincers to crush backs, Harvester truly are the end of life. Harvesters are able to hide lesser creatures in pouches, storing them for future battles. Monstrous harvesters are even worse, for they can regenerate wounds, whilst the Havocs can spew toxic spores into the atmosphere, warping the life around them.

...no ocean between north and south, instead some enormously tall mountains between east and west.

I was following this:
Quote:
Mirgade is on the west side of Cathir's Vale.  Sarrevax is at the eastern edge directly next to the mountains, and Bacorus arches around Mirgade from the west to the south.

You can see the Vale (surrounded by moutains) between Mirgade and Sarrevax, exactly where you wanted it.

I thinks Cepheus means an enormus mountain range. Not so big as the sea you made there, but not so small as you made it. and i tought he meant that Cathir's Vale was stretching from East to west and splitting the continent, instead of the sea

Cathir's Vale is the mountain range.  Sarrevax is at the eastern edge of the west side - still in the west.  Bacorus is perfect.  And Guarder's right, there's no big sea seperating the continent, just Cathir's Vale, a mountain range which stretches from north to south.  Now that I think about it, we can use the spare swamp there for Gatagyth - no normal army would dare enter a forgotten swamp infested with undead.

Seriously though, it's a great map so far.

Cephues and I agreed to keep the map as it is (latest version).
I added the world map and the realms' explanation the masterpost. I added Daystar's spell system as well. I will add the descriptions as soon as he finishes them.

ok, the map is good(i could never maked something so good). I begin on Tower heroes bio now. and i think we need the knowledge of the gods, but i know Cepheus is a very busy guy at the moment, so he can take all the time he wants

Edit: We got QPs for this:
Genie Lord: for the Naga fation. That is great work.

Me: What? I? i don't know why actualy, maybe of the Tower work i made?

i can't find the last one. The only one i can think of is Cepheus. Made a good work with the idea and kings of Mirgade. Or maybe Bixie. or even Xerox I found it. Stupid me i forgot Daystar and his genial spellsystem

Yeah we'll design a campaign of some sort after the world's details are finished off and all the gameplay elements are designed.  Could take a while yet, but there's no hurry.

I just asked that because I don't want us to make inconsistencies, like for example you might say Sarrevax allies with Mirgade against someone, though I plan Sarrevax to be sort of an "evil" nation.  They worship Lunescea, Goddess of Night and the Moon, and the counter opposite of Ennara.

I was wondering, could I possibly make the icons for the Hive, or anything which is fun to do? I'm bored and feel like drawing some stuff. I've done some artwork on the Tales of Karador as well... Have any fun jobs for me?
