I'm imagining that insect race something like this:

About the race, I would like to see something like cocooning as an ability.

Similar to eternal servitude, but it would bring back lower tier creture than the ones that died,... something like tissue regeneration but a tier lower because of the damage sustained.

I thougt that the insect race looked similar like this:

Yeh, Zerg. Okey maybe not exactly like that but look at the faces of teh Zerg.

edit: I updated Haven info to fit with Cepheus storyline.
They are split into to two.
The Union and the Royal Knights/Crusaders/Champions/Whatever.

Actually, not all of the schools are mishmash.  Full Moon and Dawn are both blessings exclusively, with only a few other things.  The Destructive Schools (Winter and Summer) are half damage, half buff/curse.  New Moon and Night are mostly cursings or necroing, and Spring Magic is all summoning.

The only problem is it makes it really hard to be a specific hybrid like slowing the enemy and then blasting him with damage spells. Or to bless and summon variety of things.
Overall if you dont have mroe then 6 skill slots it gets kind of messy finding the right spells and making a nice synergy of them.
Edit: ok that was unclear. I meant that since you need about 3 skill slots to get the best synergy out of spells it must be extremely hard to get the correct ones because theres so many.

Actually, I had a thought on that.  What if there were four spell ablities, instead of 8?  There would be Blessing (Bas, Adv, Exp) Cursing (Bas, Adv, Exp) Creation (Bas, Adv, Exp) and Destruction (Bas, Adv, Exp)

Thus the spell schools are independant of what you know.  I've always felt that if you have Expert Destructive you should be able to do more with Holy Word and Curse of the Netherworld, and thus the skills allow this.  There would also be sorcery, enlightnenment, etc.

Necromancers' cities are cursed Acadmies and Havens, so they can raise the Humans' and Wizards' dead soldiers. If they had their own land, they wouldn't have dead soldiers to raise, so they would be left without any army.

Great map GL, but just a few things -

1 ) Where's Mirgade and Bacorus?

2 ) I had in mind that it would be one major continent called Kaglemmar where the main action takes place, with about six other continents that we don't get to explore (yet?) though there seems to be an ocean seperating the north and south.

3 ) Kaglemmar is seperated by a mountain range called Cathir's Vale.

So I'll just describe the basics -

Mirgade is on the west side of Cathir's Vale.  Sarrevax is at the eastern edge directly next to the mountains, and Bacorus arches around Mirgade from the west to the south.

Chargalor lies north of Mirgade, across the Plains of Anguish.  Wis'Tarreth lies west of Chargalor, northwest of Mirgade.  Kal'Domiel is entirely underground so it doesn't appear on the map as such, though the tunnels are on the east side of the Vale.

And Gatagyth does have its own land, though it's secluded in the southwest of Kaglemmar where most humans can't reach them.  As for Azuras, Hargarran and Vantalost, they can go wherever you like, preferably in the east.

Quartis is the Ever-Drifting Isle, so it can move around the seas at will - thus it has no set position.

You should have said all that BEFORE I made the map. Anyway, I'll it. Will be a bit hard, though.

Well I'm very sorry, but first of all I just came up with those details yesterday and I didn't think you'd finish your map so quickly, and second of all you didn't ask...

That's okay. I have no problem to edit it. Now I know all the details.
And I didn't notice that there are 3 humane realms. I thought all of them are different names for the same one.

They are all human realms, but they are different in many ways.  Mirgade is the biggest and oldest, and the populace worship Ennara, Goddess of the Day and the Sun.  Sarrevax is somewhat younger, and the population worship Lunescea, the Goddess of the Night and the Moon.  They are allied with Gatagyth and on the brink of war with Mirgade.  Bacorus is more in touch with the Barbarian blood of its forefathers, as its people dwell in the wastelands and do not worship anybody, though the main race is still Haven.

NOTE:  I still need to invent a Dwarven kingdom and one for the insect faction, please keep that in mind.  Insects will probably have their own island or a jungle, Dwarves will live somewhere near or within Cathir's Vale.

I redesigned the map, according to Cephues's descriptions. The only thing I changed was simple: Chargalor is in the south of Mirgade instead of in the north of Mirdage.

The Shrouded South is for the Insectiods, like bixie wrote in their first description.
I also left an extra swamp land, if you need it for any possible faction. If you don't, it can stay there as a wasteland.

It's great, and I'm going to sound like a real nitpicker but:

...no ocean between north and south, instead some enormously tall mountains between east and west.

A nice advice to you guys - When you want to make a story not only in fantasy world, but even in modern and real society first start the map, not the story but the map, and make it detailed, make it first or you'll never do it right and then you'll need to do it again and again... and again... Make the map very carefully and do this foresighted. Mark all the cities on it, mark all borders and all locations connected with the storyline even the smallest and unimportant location must be there! This goes not only for fantasy world like yours but also if you want to create story for town in modern real world... when you have this map it will help you to "build" your storyline! Its simply the first 5% of the work and this is a lot. Keep work on it!
