Tales of Axeoth!

Note: This is written as my interpretation of the new world of Heroes IV. This is a continuation of the little preview movie where it shows the world burning up and the peasant is rescued by the angel from the burning Antagrich.
As I fell onto the cool ground, I felt a gust of wind from the angel’s wings blow across my back. I turned back for an instant, to see the world behind me set afire, burning and exploding, the heat blasting out of it and scorching my face and hair. I curled up, and thankfully it lasted only a few seconds more, and then the portal was gone, and my skin was blessedly cool as was the ground beneath me. I looked up after the heat faded away, and it was a few moments before my eyes adjusted to the relative darkness of this new world. The angel that had saved me was no where to be seen, and I was all alone. I could see in the rising sunlight that I was in an area of rolling hills and valleys. The hills looked much the same as Antagrich, and this new world was not much different.. so far at least. That was when I saw the smoke rising.
The smoke looked thick and black against the clear morning sky, and I decided to investigate it. Antagrich was now on fire and probably destroyed... there was nothing left for me back there. There was only the new chance to start a new life here..Picking myself up I started walking towards the smoke. The grass here was similar to Antagrich as well, and already it was beginning to feel like the old world as well. As I walked toward the smoke, I decided that I would do the best I could here. Hopefully it was a village of some sort that I could at least see if I could at least get some shelter before deciding what I would do. However, as I came over the last and very steep hill, I found that was not the case.
As I looked down below, the scene that greeted my shocked face was horrible. Tall, white, proud looking buildings below constructed of stone and wood were broken and fallen, on fire and belching the black smoke I had seen.  Without thinking I ran towards the buildings, and that is when I saw the first living souls on this new world. Small humanoid creatures, armed with slings, were battling savage looking creatures with pig heads. The small creatures were outnumbered, and were a full head shorter than I, whereas the pig creatures were huge in comparison with my height and build. However, the pig creatures saw me and then ran, squealing loudly as they fled in the opposite direction. The small creatures yelled in victory as they hurled a few more stones for good measure, then turned their attentions to me.
One of the small creatures, an outstanding figure among them because he was the only one that wore a medal helmet of distinction, stepped forward, drawing a short sword. He pointed it at me and said “I am Koro, general of the halfling forces of Novshath. Who are you, that invades our lands?” I looked around and saw fear and distrust mirrored in the halflings around me, and I answered “I am Pidemar, a simple peasant of Antagrich who was mistakenly dropped on this world. An angel dropped me here a few leagues away from this town.” Koro still kept his sword pointed at me, but he relaxed a little bit and said “You are welcome here in Novshath so long as you do not give us any trouble.” After this he sheathed his sword and said “Pidemar, I then commend you on your bravery in facing those orcs. Your stature along sent them packing.” Smiling, he said “They will not come back so quickly.” But then his face fell and he said “They will come back however, with more support and stronger than ever before. However, we will have to prepare for that. They should be back within two days or so.” He called as he moved towards the castle “Let us start then. First we must put out the fires and rebuild the siege walls.”

Thanks for the revive Hexa, but I don't think I will continue this story... in Axeoth at least. I don't have Homm4, and this story kind of is pointless due to the game being out already. (I was writing the story to try and explain my way how we had gotten from 3 to 4...)
