Point about single player was, multiplayer maps are either random maps or very balanced fixed maps. While most single player scenarios require some more or less crazy AI abuses to win. And these two types of maps prioritize different spells.

Also, don't forget scout wars, that damn scout wars

I love the scout wars, since for some reason I always end up getting Broghild/Pyre in the Tavern.

Scholar can be useful, as you say, but training a secondary hero to level 5-8 to get advanced wisdom and expert scholar is way better than using up a slot on main hero.

Even basic scholar is still awesome, no need to level.

Take Fafner for example scholar + haste, pretty handy. Bunch of heroes start with slow or haste spells. If you don't have slow/haste at guild it's could be worthwhile to know who they are

Water magic > Earth Magic (?)

Which skill would you use instead of RESISTANCE?

I'd throw on Orb of Inhibition and grab Armorer instead. :^)

I'm playing a big 8 players map now, I have ORB OF ORB OF VURNEABILITY (black crown) and all necropolis enemies are able to be berserked or blinded - and also all dragons.

Earth magic fans:
What about expert forgetfullness? Against both heroes and creatures.

^Well playing mostly beastmasters it's great to have both

Air as 3rd wouldn't hurt either. Though for beastmasters it rarely happens. Still I'd take it for beastmaster if i find haste/view air in guild. Expert view air owns.

logistics
offense
armourer
tactics
earth
water
air
wisdom

I expect many players will find 3 schools excesive, but I like to be flexible with spells since I mostly play 2on2 heatseat games with my friends. Not often mplayer.

Not sold on resistance as top8(it's still very good skill though), 15% bonus is poor often battles last 5-6 rounds and it doensn't even kick in once, so frustrating. Thorgrim is great though with specialists or stacking with creature innate bonus it makes more sense to me.

Swinm, it is well known fact that black orb allows you to berserk undead or dragons. It is also a well known fact that it does not allow you to blind undead, this only works for dragons. Check your info before you write it.

Expert forgetfulness vs neutrals is rendered useless once you get tactics, expert forgetfulness against player is even weaker. Badge of courage or recanters cloak make it useless, and even if they are not present, enemy having a powerstack of shooters is unlikely. You can get wyverns and angels from conservatories, farm skeletons or demons, but there is no reliable way of getting shooter powerstack.

No, might classes can get intelligence just as well as magic heroes can get offence or armorer.

Might hero needs to resurrect troops as well. Try any of the Chinese maps without intelligence, you won't go 2 months in. In single player, intelligence is the first skill to pick.

Oh then you don't need it. In MP the skills pattern isn't flexible at all, at least with current templates.

well it's a  great skill for a mage, i'd take it over sorcery for example but it's a skill most might heroes I prefer can do without

You guys use Artillery in MP at all? I usually use it on secondary heroes.

No

Tactic is hugely overrated

Well used Archery > Tactics
