1. WISDOM !!!
2. earth magic
3. air magic (Haste, chain light., fly)
4. intelligence (love those spell points)
5. resistance (makes me laugh)
6. sorcery (Spell power!!)
7. logistics
8. Necromancy or archery or navigation (depending on the map/town) or scouting (for my scout!!)
Never, never fire magic (I don't play with Inferno), first aid, estates or learning.

The 8th would depend on allot of things... mostly what I get stuck with. (joke)
I stay away from tactics and water.

It says eight skills of a hero. You cannot forget Necromancy.  Itīs a skill. And cannot be replaced, so it must be count in. BtW, other classes can get Necromancy from Scholars, but thatīs rare.

Too true. I had a Ranger learn Basic Nec from a Scholar. Mind you, it was ROE unpatched. It may have been fixed in later updates.
Also, can't Warlocks learn it? They could in H2.

i do know that it is possible to get necromancy from a scholar, that's why i said most likely.
in unpatched roe some other hero classes have a tiny chance of learning necromancy (for example all evil magic heroes, wizards), but it was fixed in the patches.
and once i got necromancy from a scholar for my druid in patched SOD, so i guess the problem isn't fixed yet

I remember i got necromancy once from something like a witch hut but it was a long time ago so i don't remember for sure. But i got the impression that there is one building that gives you necromancy all the time. A friend of mine told me he had seen the same too. I had H3 Complete which means that all the patches were there

Normally Witch Hut doesnīt give Necromancy and Leadership, because they can be unfair to some towns. It can be changed in the Editor. If you got Necromancy from a Witch Hut, the map mght have been edited.

I was playing one of the quests as Fortress and my main hero got necromancy from a scholar!!!
I spent the rest of the time making sure I had no open slots for armies!!

why do people like eagle eye?
and yeah, pathfindings great, but if you have fly or DD(demetional door) why do you need it?
navigation is anotehr one i dont see teh need for much, as water walk does the job all the same.
i also dont see the need for the one that lets you pass spells between heros(my spelling is bad, so i'll forgo trying to say it).
learning SOUNDS good but in practise, i found the slot was better used for something else.

So I'm not the only one that wants to tear out my hair when I get stuck with eagle eye??? especially if you get it as your 8th skill!!!
Aren't we all happy that there's no hero that starts with eagle eye and first aid???
