You sound like someone saying "stop fighting children, you are all dumb and don't know the truth, but I do." Well that is just as insulting to RMS as his talking about witches. You seem to think your chastisement of RMS is ok, but his ill concieved jibes at witches are racist/ untolerant/ prejudiced. Its all the same thing.

Oh really, perhaps you would like to tell me where I demonstrate this contempt? Try backing up your arguments for once. As it happens I am a follower of one of the religions you mention. Not that you seem like somebody who would let the facts interfere with his random insults.

Once again you say something without backing it up. There was no religious discussion going on, there was only RMS insulting other religions. You should actualy try reading the posts before you comment on them. You are just making yourself look stupid.

So your saying it's wrong for me to chastise somebody for being prejudiced and intolerant? That this is just as wrong as making racist remarks yourself? You realize you are making no sense at all here. By your logic Martin Luther King was the ultimate racist by condemning racism so much.
Anyway out of respect for those who want this discussion to end, I'm going to ignore anything else you might have to say no matter how stupid or insulting it may be. So feel free to have a field day making more unfounded and illogical remarks if you like, this is your chance since I'm not going to bother responding to them and showing how silly they are.

Ugh! You're really beginning to disgust me. I leave for a day, in hopes that this will die out, but you will not relent. I have apologized for any misgiving that anyone may have had about what I've said, and I'm truly sorry if I offended anyone, as those were not my intentions...however, due to your pure hatred of me, obviously you will not give up, even after I have, until you have pummelled me into the ground, and proven that you are better then the rest of us, and that when it comes right down to it, I am an uneducated child, and that I know next to nothing, so that you need to tell me right from from. Thank you very much for your kind offer of assistance, but in my humble opinion, you're simply trying to mislead everyone else to see it your way, and no other. Whether you truly see it this way or not, I do not know, and I think it makes little difference. I am Christian, and although I may totally disagree with beliefs of other religions, I do come out directly, to assult them and ram down it's walls. I may not respect certain views, but I will always respect the right for people to have them, unless they come and rebuke me for what I believe in. Alright, to help clear things up in my viewpoint, I'de like to make clear that my intentions were not for ill. I wanted to talk about flowers, and I still do, if you would have it. However, although the thread was deviated from it's original topic, I admit I added to it somewhat. However, I still stand by the fact that I did not insult anyone here, at first, nor at all. I do not want anyone to be unhappy, for peace is normally, the best state of being. I would like it to remain that way, if possible. That is why, although I am defending myself, I am not saying that you are completely wrong for thinking what you do. However, you are taking this a bit far. There is one thing, that I do believe someone has pointed out. The ones I have been referring to, are witches in particular. I never said anything about the Wiccan "religion", but I only brought it up, because it reminded me of them. Witches are evil, and I find it hard to say that there are exceptions to that. Those whom are not evil, are not compeltely "witches" then, and then therefore I do not refer to them. I am not talking about the Wiccan religion/organization, not any other religion- not even mine. I am saying I do not like evil, and those who promote it. Perhaps it is that you yourself are evil at heart, and you're taking advantage of this oppurtunity to turn the table at me as soon as possible, so if ever it progresses further, you already begin with the other hand...and you may not. I am not accusing anyone of anything here, especially not you. I accept that people do not all think alike, and wil always agree with me...I allow people to say what they want, as long as it is within bounds. I myself will not violate that. At times, I will try to sacrifice my own standings and beliefs, for the good of the community. It that's what it takes to bring everything to a neutral standing, or back to a good old joyous state, than I'de be glad to try and give it a shot. However, it is like you do not appreciate peace and order. It is as if chaos is the thing to do, nowadays. I do not want this to continue, and if you must, say what you want, but I do not want to see this continue. It is as if, the only highlight of your day, is to try to make anyone look and feel as bad as humanly possible. I'm trying to pass this off as it is not a big deal, but you are making that hard on me. I truly do apologize to anyone that I may have accidently offended, but you don't care what I do. I make a "mistake" (one that I made, because you made it into one) and now you can't live it down.
...all you are doing, is to make yourself look as good as possible, by twisting what everyone else has to say, for your benefit. We are not against you, nor anyone else here. We work for the good of the community, and I'm sure you'de like to see it as well as it can be, also. There is no need for further conflict, but instead of letting it all go, at a neutral stance, you're just trying to end it so that we look like the aggressors in the entire ordeal, while without your use of rhetoric, you may just seem ribald. I am not "out to get you", for that would not benefit me in the least. However, I do not appreciate you trying to use me as your tool, as your leverage, being that I am incompetant, and that I cannot think by myself, because whenever I do that, it is only absurdity. I assure you that I am not trying to insult you, or make you feel bad or look to be in the wrong, for as I've said before, if I wished, as most others too, it would indeed be extremely obvious to all to see. lol, I used to have a garden, a while back...until I basically left it unattended, and it now it no longer looks much like a "garden" 
I like sunflowers too though...well how could I not? My state flower is the Black-Eyed susan...and sunflower seeds are a good substitute for gum (which I usually don't like very much)...
...oh, and btw Shae, I don't think that there are such things as naturally grown, blue roses...are there?

Flowers!
There are actually very few truly blue flowers on the earth.
The problem is the visual spectrum that most pollinaters are equipped with does not include much of the color blue.
If the insects cant see it.... they can't hug it!

Just did a search on blue flowers and most appear to be more violet than blue, but the forget me not is cute.
I want to have a herb garden. Going to plant one ata friends house, lots of basil and mint and lavender and stuff!

hopefully this will be the last post on this thread...(about religion, that is)
allright people, although i may not have as good rhetoric as some of you, i will attempt to sum this up.
now then, i am making this post, not to stir things up again, but to set things right.
Now this post started as a flower post, as we all know.
then, the wicca discussion started when murphy asked princess zelda if she was wiccan.
Then, RMS expressed his opinion about witches. (which may have sounded mean, but it is his opinion, and if you dont agree with him, i dont see a reason to argue with him, just stick to your own ideas...)
this, in effect, DID start the arguments, however, i think it is clear that someone else actually lit the fuse...
then, RMS clearly stated that he did not want to talk further about religions.
then niteshade said that he did not want to bring up the subject but "had" to express his opinion, and then said that we could drop the subject.
THEN, it looked as if the subject had been completely dropped.
but, niteshade, unprompted, posted another post expressing his opinion on the matter, and thus stirring everything up once again.
then milena made a valiant effort to try to stop the subject from being discussed.
then rms made clear that he was sorry if he offended anyone, and to drop it since it was obviously leading to a pointless argument.
THEN, niteshade stirred everything up by making an attack on rms.
then rms defended himself.
then niteshade made an blatent attack on rms which was an obvious attempt to make rms look bad.
(this, clearly cannot be argued just because of how he speaks to rms as if he has utterly no intelligence; this post really offended me)
then rms defended himself.
then niteshade made another vicious attack on rms.
he even said "I'm trying to avoid turning this into a religious discusion"
even though he is the one who CLEARLY stirred everything up by continuing to bring up the subject, and continuing to attack rms.
rms defended.
niteshade attacked.
rms defended.
niteshade attacked.
you get the point.
then niteshade, posted this, just to make everyone look stupid who disagreed with him.

after seeing this post, i finally met the strong desire to reply. by saying this, niteshade CHILDISHLY is trying to have the last word. hes simply saying
"i dont wanna look bad so i am going to make you look bad and then leave and act like im ignoring you so i cant possibly look bad"
while we all may not be perfect, i think niteshade should be ashamed... he has been a complete jerk to rms, who is one of the nicest people on this board, and put words in his mouth... which isnt the first time he has done that, but we wont go there.
i think niteshade should apologize to rms.
i know, on a board like this, it seems silly... but niteshade has been a complete jerk and this simply CANNOT be denied.
Now, you ask, why did i make this long post?
the answer is simple: to restore RMS's reputation as a good poster on HC, and to give something to niteshade of which i dont think he has ever tasted: HUMILITY.

Sure, purple and violet flowers are no problem but true blue just doesnt work. Remember the "Blue Blocker" sunglasses? It's the same concept I think.
I have Tyme, Rosemary, Sage & Chives growing here. All the summer herbs are gone now that winter is almost here.
All of these produce flowers by the way! Not showy but pleasant.

I thought it was when listening this little discussion...
And was going to ask whether it is black or white...
Anyways...Single red rose is nice. But...I don't know anything about flowers as I never buy them. It's one of those romantic things women have created so they can play "hard to get" easier...

My plants are mostly green leafy plants, not too huge on having flower gardens, i love have all different coloured green foliage looking lush!
Though like i said, i usually either obtained from my mum or buy flowers every week to put in my room to make it all pretty

Exactly the point Sha_ !!!! It all comes down to the old good/evil black/white thing. You have to make sure you ask a witch if she is good or evil before you are allowed to burn her!

Put heavy stone into witches neck and throw her into the deep water. If she doesn't sank, she is witch and you can burn him. If she sunks then she wasn't witch and goes happily to heaven.

I have one green plant (my mother gave it to me as "present" for my own apartment) I don't know it's name but it has started to grow on the wall pretty nicely. I'm kinda proud of it that it's still alive.
It's those little things that make you happy, after all, isn't it?
