Inferno all the way baby!
Fire, havoc and destruction... The enemy won't stand a chance; their troops outnumbered, their brave leaders simply seduced by our hot (literally) ladies. All will burn, all will die, everything will be destroyed.

Familiars for president!

Dark Elves would be a good choice because they have the hottest females.

Oh and if you Necros want to use the old no-Dark Energy system, we Warlocks just play some HoMM 4, learn Disintegrate and make an AoE version of it.

Nobody has the hottest females. If you were put into the body of a dwarf, then you would consider those bearded females to be very sexy and those dark elves would be gross looking.

I like a lot about Sylvan, it'd be a nice environment, and I prefer HOMM III Dungeon to V. On the other hand, there are points to consider:
Sylvan environment may get quite sunny. I like cool, 12-16 degree Celsius weather. On the other hand, I like forests. But it wouldn't take much Inferno or Dungeon influence to set all of the forest alight (damn them).

Stronghold might burn the forests, because they're merciless dumb feral wankers who mistake brutality for courage. And they're ugly. Ugly things hate pretty Sylvans. Which makes me think I'd fit in quite well with the Sylvans.
...Oh? No self-indulgent emotiocon?

Fortress may well burn the forests as well, because of Dwarven/Elven two-way racial hatred. I'd like the idea of joining Fortress, but the outside environment's a bit too cold for me, and the inside...of a volcanic mountain would just irritate my precious porcelain skin.
Plus, they'd ask for my sympathy about their failure to stick to a weight loss program.
No, Gimli, you've not lost weight.
Ebba, your breasts may be large, but so is every other bit of you. It's abnormal for Dwarves to be so huge.
Cut down on the fast-food, you ruddy gimps.
...I think I've angered them.
Not welcome there, I guess.

Inferno would definitely burn the lovely flora (and fauna), because they're just such merciless slaughtering evil thingies. Pit Lords are cool, but they've been rejected now. If Quasits and Balor can work together properly, we can have some fun. But the Balor just don't use their initiative. You'd think horrid burning things would be energetic and impulsive, but no, they just sit back, have a picnic, start a shower. And creating showers for enemies? Demons encouraging cleanliness is just odd.
Also, Nightmares should be the black ones and Hell Steeds the fiery ones. And the ones that look fiery should have Searing Heat (or whatever it's called), while the black horned chargers should frighten their enemies. They need to sort themselves out. So chaotic. Next thing you know, the familiars will be stealing the enemy hero's virginity.

Necropolis - much I like about them. Very much. But I like life better, and would rather keep it as long as possible. Plus, I could always get one of the HOMM III Dungeon heroes to resurrect me, I don't need the old advice & methods of some dead girl.
Deirdre, I'm sorry, I adore you, but...you can't sing. Although I think that I'd be quite pleased if you competed in Pop Idol and all of those competitions. You'd eliminate much worthless life AND gain minions for your army. Perhaps we can just remain friends, eh?

Naadir - 1 ghost per level per stack is pathetic. You need to work on your sixth sense. Oh wait, that's intuition, not seeing dead people. Stupid Hayley Joel Osmond.

It seems a lot of our community would happily sacrifice themselves to the Shrine of the Netherworld (is that the building I mean?).
As for hordes and Dark Energy, given that in all likeliness there would be more than just 8 or so necromancers in existence, I think they'd have plenty of Dark Energy to go around. Remember that EVERY NECROMANCER will benefit from EVERY NECROMANCY AMPLIFIER in EVERY NECROPOLIS.

Haven - I don't like much operatic music, but hey! I prefer that woman's voice to Tarja Tarunen. That Haven lady should join a Gothic Metal band.
Unfortunately, in general, these guys are just not my cup of chivalry. Unjust, except the renegades, but renegades should be left-wing and I don't think Haven society is.
There's also a distinct lack of indiscriminate commoner-slaying, therefore they have a low community standard I greatly disapprove of.

Dungeon is mostly, and sadly, composed of Dark Elves. Realistic dark elves, in that their skin is actually fair due to lack of sunlight.
The realism and fair complections, I like, but they may wipe out some of the lovely environment due to Dark Elf/Wood Elf two-way racial hatred.
In addition, I dearly miss my beloved Dungeon environment...

I miss playing Pin the tail on the blind, moving Troglodyte.
Great javelin throwers, considering they're blind. Always funny to see them impale Jeddite only to have Alamar resurrect him. Even funnier when the Troglodytes would do it again but to Alamar...and Jeddite'd resurrect him in return.
And they make such great truffle-pigs with their sense of smell!

I miss how the Harpy-Hags used to let me piggy-back them while they played leapfrog over each other. Fairground rides just don't compare.
And they make great quills too!

I miss my funny disco-dancing Evil-eye alien clowns. Who needs a mirrorball when you've got those lasers?

I miss the Snake-bodied, Twister-playing Medusa Queens. Surprisingly great at Dance Dance Revolution - we had some good, crazy times playing Saint Goes Marching on Heavy...

I miss the cool, trombone-playing, Minotaur Kings. Some of them introduced me to an energy drink better than any other. And who'd have thought they were such great chefs! Only my mum makes better Zuccini Cake than them!

I don't miss the manticores. Manticores and all other lions and lion cross-breeds are filthy, proud, gormless, immoral scum. Let's effing well burn the lions!
...
...
I miss my buddies, the original Black Dragons, who didn't mind racist jokes. Yes, Brikhyvr, it's 'cause you're black.

Ahhhhhh, fond memories...

Academy - These are the intelligent counterparts to Stronghold, in that they are also rather unattractive. More creative though, but I don't like wind blowing sand onto my face and into my mouth. Plus, the Rahkshasa Rani leopard thingies turn can turn into blue lions, and if they know what's good for them, NONE shall do so under my command.
But I don't like Kshatras either, 'cause they're aiming to replace Mariliths (Naga Queens) and I don't like try-hards.

In conclusion...would I choose Sylvan over Dungeon in defiance against the newer Dungeon? Sylvan are crap spellcasters and Dungeon truly awesome in that manner...

Sylvan. Because the Elder Druids could give me all of their manamana (Doo-doo-duh-doodoo!)
...
while the High Druids could give me their Spellpower.
...and then I'd probably show my true colours as a Warlock (previously) incognito and throw empowered, elementally-chained, lucky, high-druid-boosted spells all over stronghold. And lions, damn them.

But I guess for the society in which I would live (and who I would join, though with Dungeon powers),
Sylvan. Or maybe you'd call it Renegade/Classic Dungeon. But we'll say Sylvan.

I would join the necropolis. Before i die i would visit my uncle Dennis in Axeoth (Im serious, my uncle Dennis plays homm4) then i'd come back, make fun of everyone until they kill me. Then i'd get resurrected by a necromancer because of necropolis V.I.P. membership status (the healthcare is way better than A.A.R.P.). Once im a dead body that can walk, i'll take up a job as an assistant engineer, since i hear those engineers may need a Hand. However, im pretty sure they can do it Solo.
After i receive enough money, I'll get my own computer along with my own copy of Heroes of Might and Magic Five: Tribes of the East Expansion Pack. Then I can decide how to deal with those warmongering pixels on the computer screen.

Hey, this is a tad off topic, but relevant to my own post:
Quote:
Naadir - 1 ghost per level per stack is pathetic. You need to work on your sixth sense. Oh wait, that's intuition, not seeing dead people. Stupid Hayley Joel Osmond.

When playing as Necropolis, as I've suddenly switched from Deidre/Lucretia to Naadir after realising how useful his petty ghosts can be: They REPLACE the enemy stack, meaning that a Fortress, Academy or Haven (or else) player with strong light magic abilities CANNOT ressurect their dead stacks!
But I wouldn't be surprised if someone realised and discussed this before me, as I've never really tried him before.

Elvin: Lions. I just see them ass the feral ruffian bogans of the animal kingdom. 'King of the Jungle', but it makes the females do all the work while it sits around on its lazy arse at home, playing Counterstrike and other crap like that, while the females exercise their athleticism and skillful hunting technique...they have manes that people adore, but they're brutal things...they (and other cats) have barbed penises and are some infertile as to have to 'do it' 20 or so times to impregnate the female (according to David Attenborough, I believe)...
regarding the manes, I have golden curly hair but see myself as a creature with a much more appealing personality, so rather than my hair being 'like a lion's mane', its more a case of lion's being bastards trying to copy something far superior than their sloppy lazy filthy brutal selves.
King of the Jungle? You live in the plains, ya ruddy git! Tigers live in Jungles AND, I might add, ARE STRONGER AND FASTER THAN YOU!
They're like the bloody braggy nincompoop kinds of people in the world...but animals with less intelligence but more reliance on instincts...THEY HAVE NO EXCUSES.
Personally, I love foxes.

...BAH OFF TOPIC! SORRY!
