If you're considering the straight stats of the titan in comparison to the H3 titan, you're missing the other changes that strengthen him.
Artificer simply does allow you to make these the best units in the game, and if their stats were any better.. this would just widen the gap between them and everything else. Granted there's an additional cost associated, and it requires high knowledge, but this game isn't a vacuum and you have to include other factors when judging these things.
Like other people said, with luck, init, even morale, these become damage machines.

And with Mind Immunity, they are also on the VERY short list of L7s that are immune to most of the nasty Dark spells.

Well I like the Titans but I have to admitt that I kinda miss they're lighting sword from HoMM III.And I may sound old fashioned but my favourite is the one from HoMM II.

Yeah storm titans are better i guess, but the original titans are way cooler. One thing i can't see is how you can think that storm titans are gay, is there any real difference except the lightning and the eyes?

Haha, good one. 
But it is true, I hardly get any shots with the titans in major PvP battles, fast enemy units are quickly there to block him and I think the strenght of the Titan is that he's the only tier 7 unit who can shoot but this strenght is disabled very easily, just use teleport or some other fast unit.
Happily you can boost some of his stats with the miniarties, I usually take 60% magic resistance since he's kinda weak against direct damage spells.

Actually, he's just trying to be mature. Which from your posts it seems you are lacking heavily. I hope the moderators clean up all these "OMGZoRS Titans are GAY HOMOZ!1!!1" posts, because they really detract from the quality of this board.

Lesij where the only that called those titans for gays i think. I know he hates that someone says stop and he call them cowards. But why? does he want to put up a good fight? He reminds of LiZaRdMeN, when he gone berserk. Sorry for that, but we should always talk the truth(almost always)

Yes, i do......NOT. I like the titans lightning ranged attack when he shots, but i still miss the armor and helmet from heroes three. i think the lightning out of the hand is cooler than the sword, but it had been cool with both(the sword was making the no melee penalty).

How can anything that looks like a giant Billy Idol not be cool?
So they're not wearing a lot of clothes. Understand them. They are statues - that's like saying Michelangelo's David is gay (and he's even more naked than the Titans). Besides, it can get pretty hot in the desert. And what's the point in wearing armor if you're made of stone? (or some metal or... magic... or whatever they're made of )

You of course are welcome to say that you do not like the way the titans look. Its the manner in which you chose to convey this opinion that makes you offensive in my eyes. Saying something "looks gay" is hurtful because you are attributing negativity to gays (in this case non-masculinity); no doubt fostered by your own prejudices and stereotypes. If you had simply written "I don't like the H5 titans' model because they look too feminine" I would have no problems and neither would anyone else.
However you wrote: "looks as if it was a gay O_O Moreover f*cked one... " and "they all look like screwed gayz!!!" is offensive (and a bit illegible) to me and makes me think you're an immature and/or rednecked bigot. And makes me sad the moderators haven't dealt with your posts.
