Looks like we left the valley behind...
It really seems we are going up the hill again.
Yesterday in the morning, my wife had her surgery, which lasted 5 hours. They opened her skull (small cut) and closed the aneurism with a clip. 3 hours after the surgery ended, she woke up from the anesthesia. Except a little pain on the head where the surgery happened, she was feeling ok. No other pain, she could talk and move all arms and legs. The neurosurgeon told me, if she is recovering the same way like she did before, she can leave hospital in 5-6 days and do the rest of the rehabilitation workouts at home.
How lucky we have been...could have been much much worse...
I will post a pic of my wife when she has recovered completely, so u all know of whom I was talking about all the time...

Oh, so cute And so good that it going better with your wife. as you said, it could be much worse. IIt happend to one in my familiy 7 ago

Today they removed the bandage from the head of my wife, and the cut isn't that small at all. It is about 10 centimeters (4 inches) from left to the right, just a bit above where the hairs start on the forehead, so it is not seen when hairs have grown back (they shaved them on that part). They fixed the cut with 22 staples.
My wife was a bit surprised when she saw the cut in the mirror today, coz we both thought they will just drill a small hole in the skull, but it became more complicated than they thought first time.

You say it is "big", belive me at 10 cm it is not big at all. And you are very lucky because your wife is young and her brain and body is recoveryng fast and with little consequences. You must take great care of her now. The doctor told you what was thw cause? maby high blood presure? I am glad for you and I belive now that your wife is ok you are the happiest man alive.
Sorry if I was annoyng with my questions, I am trying to help.

Now it is 4 weeks ago my wife left hospital. She is doing very well, only very few things "missing" to be back on 100%. She is taking care of our little during the time I am at work, and she handles it good.
The doctors also finally found the reason for the stroke:
4 years ago, she had a tooth surgery in her home country. The dentist removed 1 tooth, but left a small piece of the root behind without notice. Bacterias grew up on that little piece of tooth root and starting to "move" up in a vain towards the brain. There they built that aneurism. This could have happened 4 months ago...or already 3 years ago. No one can judge that now. And this stroke happened all of a sudden, and also could have happened at home during cooking.
This piece of root was removed by a dentist 1 day before the surgery and can't cause any harm anymore.

I'm glad to hear everything will be fine again. I can only imagine the fear and stress you have been through, and the relief you must be feeling now.
On the bright side, I'm sure events like this will only have a positive effect on the future and the way you look at each other. Ne?

Beautiful picture, heartwarming smile Had missed the previous reply, aneurism is terrible.. Someone I knew almost passed away because of it and he had no idea he was in danger for years.
