Hey i wanted to modify the Blade Barrier spell but in:
GameMechanics\Spell\Combat_Spells\SummoningMagic\BladeBarrier.xdb

is only this:
<damage><Item><Base>1</Base>
     <PerPower>1</PerPower>
     <Base>1</Base>
     <PerPower>1</PerPower>
             <Base>1</Base>
     <PerPower>1</PerPower>
     <Base>1</Base>
     <PerPower>1</PerPower>
</damage>
<duration>

<Base>0</Base>
<PerPower>1</PerPower>
<Base>0</Base>
<PerPower>1</PerPower>
<Base>0</Base>
<PerPower>1</PerPower>
<Base>0</Base>
<PerPower>1</PerPower>
</duration>

so there must be an info about the HP and abilities of summoned blade barrier.
Help anyone

EDIT: Ok found it the DefaultStats.xdb

Most TotE spells' properties are in DefaultStats.xdb, including Summon Hive, etc.

Are you sure you fill those tags with "Adv"? Those are for the adventure map.

I think I did it, but I'll check.
(I tried yesterday, and the only NCF creature which appeared on the adventure map was the sun warrior)
what are those "Adv" tags exactly and where are they?

For example there is in a "Character" file the <AdvMapAnimSet> but this one is about animations and not appearances... I don't remember well where other of those tags are, but maybe they're about the model as well?

All NCF appear on the adventure map. ALL

But maybe your versions have bugs?

I fixed all bugs I encountered about NCF

All NCF appear on the adventure map. ALL

Anyway, I dunno why you ask this question here, you have seen my thread gallery pictures with all ncf ..

So, I especially understand you have a lot a bugged NCF

hi! i just installed HoMM V - TotE and i wanted to play the campaign. The problem is that my version has only the TotE campaign without original HoMMV and HoF campaigns. I've heard that there is a mod that fixes this problem and adds the other campaigns. I've searched for some time but i didn't find it. If that mod exists can someone link it to me? thx a lot

You're perfectly right.

Never I tested NCF in random armies.

I can get any NCF I want and I have in mixed armies but all references from map.xdb are directly their ID.

I don't use the random-stack objects.

Random is created by RTMG which will put the choosen reference in the xml.

So, ya, it's easily possible that somes NCFs have this bug
and never I fixed it.

OK then,

perhaps if a NCF doesn't have the MapObjects/(_AdvMapObjectLink) folder, it can't be used in random stack

This is my first theory

I thought they have to be in MapObjects/_(AdvMapSharedGroup) and MapObjects/_(AdvMapObjectLink) but they still don't appear on the adventure map.

creatures I can see :
-sun warrior
-shadow daughter and upgrades
-fallen angel and upgrades
-wandering soul and upgrades
-I've never seen them but I suppose stone guardian and upgrades too.

creatures I can't see :
all the others it seems (unless I got unlucky with the few working ones)

How can't you see it ? Have you tried to specify the AdvMapMonsterShared in the creature properties tree ? I do like that, and it works. Until the slot of the creature I specify is less or equal than 299, it appears in the editor. But if I specify my wisp for example, which slot are above 299, the editor crashes. It as simple as that.
Then even if you can't select creatures in the Monsters Menu, you can still specify them manually, in adding a peasant and change its AdvMapMonsterShared property.

Fauch, where are you?

OK.

files in MapObjects/(_AdvMapSharedGroup) folder have the same problem that DefaultStats.xdb

I mean when a MOD is released with a special version of DefaultStats.xdb then this mod will have a conflict with another MOD if this one have also a special version of DefaultStats.xdb

It's the same thing here.

If everybody would release his creature with MapObjects/(_AdvMapSharedGroup) then 0 NCF could be seen in random stack excepts these one which has the most recent folder.

to get the possibility to randomize all NCF, it is necessary to have a MapObjects/(_AdvMapSharedGroup) with all referenced
NCF.

And each new release must contain the new version of this folder to get the new creature plus all others.

The best idea is creating a MOD available in Updated NCF thread which is updated each time one or several NCF are released.

ya surly,

and I'm afraid about something.

Imagine if a referenced ncf doesn't exist as a mod...

maybe this can crash the game...

if someone takes the folder with all references but doesn't have all ncf... is a crash risk?

but perhaps if the ncf doesn't exist then H5 simply ignores it...I dunno

You know, all is working -_- Yous MUSt have the NCF__Core.pak, the NCF__DefaultStats.pak and the MapEditor__Core.pak in your data folder. Then it work properly with all NCF. I know it, because in my games on H5, I saw NCF at the place of random creatures...
And yes, the game ignore the NCF creatures who don't exist.
If not, it would crash all the time.
