As far as I know, you can use them. I remember some (very) old mod for SoD that used those slots to add 4 new creatures. IF I remember correctly, the def names for those were "bad01.def" "bad04.def", map defs I got no idea. Someone who knows better please correct me. I believe these slots are already used in WoG as well(?).

Yeah that I already know. It's not those portraits that I meant.
