Downloaded it from Mediafire.

And, put it in the User Mods folder as instructed.

What do I get to do next to initialize the game's Mod.'s updating?

It's only an h5u file. What does it do? Exactly?

I am really eager to try it, soon, I hope.

If it's in the UserMods folder already then just start the game.

Does it work for RMG maps? Because, I already played a pre-made map yesterday with the mod already put in the user-mods folder and, noticed absolutely nothing different happened during the whole game of 65 days/turns(start to finish). And, of course, did win the game on turn 65.

What should do next?

You should start absolutely new game and better generate new map, because some features may not work on pre-made maps. Or you put the mod in the wrong folder. All features of mod are written in 9th page of this thread.

One Quik relevant question about this mod.

After several months from now, do you intend to make Quiksilver II a large and thorough Mod. just like W.o.G. is for HoMM3, now?

It would be a real milestone for HoMM5-T.o.t.E. you know. Maturing further on this game will indicate swarms of users/players of the latest installment of Nival's masterpiece(at least for me anyway).

Actually it is possible, but I can not ensure you about this. I'm developing this mod further and further every day and it may last for a very long time and become something similar to WoG , but only for TotE.
So, everything is possible.

that would be so cool. and also, are you planning to somehow program even farther upgrades which are made by heroes? so like sharpshooters in H3.

There is already Sharpshooter in QS2. It belongs to Sylvan (changed Arcane Archer). Well If I manage to use NCF, I may try to revive all unused H3 and WoG creatures in H5.

EDIT: New loadscreen for QS2

I guess I hadn't read the entire thread when I commented before about how awesome this quicksilver is.  I thought things were still on the roll like there were with the towns looking nearly identical to H3.  Don't get me wrong, it still all sounds cool, and i know how you feel about not wanting to redo the whole thing from scratch when you lost it (i've had to restart many many heroes maps because of corrupt saves and i HATE replaying them), but I was REALLLY REALLY looking forward to the H3 version of H5.  I didn't really care for H4, and honostly, I'd love to see a game that Mirrors H2 (With the mummies back at home in Necro), but It would most definitely be beyond cool to see H3 in H5 graphics, and i think you were on the right track to begin with. Don't give up on it man, what you had going kicked arse!  I hate to say it, but it was nice to see efreets again, (i hated those things and their fire shields!).  And for your silvan town, i thought i remembered seeing a post where they were working on a Pegasus. (here: http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=23547&pagenumber=14)

Good luck!

In response to the above post, I'd rather see H5 in H3 graphics than vice versa.

Carry on with your discussion.

Well maybe I'll remake the things I've done before, but not very soon. Maybe after releasing full "Quicksilver II: Only A begining". I could call new version "Quicksiler II:The rise from the ashes" .

And about Pegasus, I saw it already, but I'm not able to make something similar myself.

EDIT: I'm now realeasing Alpha 3 verion of QS2!

What you get in this version:
1.Fixed Antichrist.
2.Red Dragon instead of Shadow Dragon (like in H3)
3.Darkness Dragon instead of Red Dragon (like in Wog)
4.Better color of Green Dragon.(at least for me )
5.Gold Dragon instead of Emerald Dragon (like in H3)
6.A little bit fixed Magma Titan.
7.Fixed messy creatures' names, most of them are taken from H3 now.(Names  changed in Dwellings' and Town Buildings' descriptions too)
8.Blood Dragon insead of Spectral Dragon (like in WoG)
9.New loadscreen with new progress bar.

Again, this is ALL MOD, not an update. So delete the older version and put this one. File is ~3,33MB size.
MEDIAFIRE
RAPIDSHARE

This must be the final Alpha version. Next release will be the Beta one.
ATTENTION! NEW SERIOUS BUG: NEVER DOUBLE-CLICK ON THE CREATURE TO UPGRADE IT, OR THE GAME WILL CRASH.(You can ofcourse double-click on the creature, but just don't use UPGRADE button in the creature's screen). ALWAYS USE "UPGRADE ANY" BUTTON TO UPGRADE CREATURE.(CAN NOT FIX IT)

QSII's extremely going well in development.

All right!

More than twice the size of the Alpha 2's released Mod file!

Keep that rythm going BJ! At this rate you will be done by the end of April!

How many Beta releases do you plan to make before the final and totally complete release of this masterpiece of a Mod for HoMM5-T.o.t.E.?

Will you give a version 3.5 to QSII?

Man! I am so darn excited for your will to complete the whole thing in such a flash!

Think of it everyone: W.o.G 3.6 in sync with QSII and, both in the same year of 2008. Ain't that awesome!

I think there will be 2 Beta releases and maybe 1-2 RC versions for bug fixing.
Well the Official patch should be 3.1, so my version should be called 3.05 , But if I'll make something like WoG, it must be 5.5.
However, I think WoG 3.59 will not show up this year, so you will only get QSII for H5:TotE.

Are you telling us that, after installing the official patch of 3.1, your Mod would cease to work?

Will you continue your Mod after all thorough changes made by the patch?

I never thought that a mere patch would affect your scripting codes. Unless the codes are too superficial to the functionality of the game that the patch installer considers them as an annoyance to the patching process and gets those encodings neutered out.

Do you think, that will be a major concern to your Modding encoding process?

I did not know there was a patch for T.o.t.E coming, BTW.

No no no, my MOD should work with any patch for TotE.
Well, I will continue my work until it's finished and we still don't know what the 3.1 patch will change.
I think that 3.1 patch, won't effect my MOD.
And there isn't 3.1 patch yet. But I hope it will appear.

@radar
I think you are right. So let's continue with the alphas only

Bad News BJ, the Mod does not kick in the RMG either.

Combining mods seems to lead to a no QSII MOD existing effect what-so-ever. Only the newest Heroes for T.o.T.E. have been unlocked by the All Heroes Unlocker Mod. file.

Yours is more than twice the size of that insignificant and detailed based only mod. and, absolutely no effect at all on my version of T.o.t.E.. Is, using a fully redone and patched O.S. of Vista Home Premium up-to March 2008, make such a difference in how the hard coding of my installation of a completely Stand-Alone product of HoMM5-T.o.t.E. v.3.0?

I played a Tiny with 4 players with no underground and, kept my choice of faction to full random(RMG choosing the faction for me to play in this crudely made-up map). That was last night and, with your Alpha 3 in the UserMods folder(deleted the Alpha 2 one as instructed).

Should I have chosen my favorite faction for this mod to kick in or, what else should I do, now?

What do you mean by "kick in" ?

Maybe this is a problem of you using the other mods too.
Was the map generated after you put mod or before? Or was it pre-done map with random towns?

Kick in: forcing the effect of something. In this case, a Mod. inserted to Homm5-T.o.t.E. for improving its playability as adding more, not previously available by the game, options to the user/owner/player.

Yes, I did insert it in the UserMods Folder within the main game folder of HoMM5-T.o.t.E. before playing that, previously mentioned, RMG map.

Any Ideas? RobenHagen just released a PDF manual-like file for Vista hard-coded MCE interfaced programming. Unlike WinNT based WinXP's interface, a Vista based game might have a totally different approach to game scripting. Just thought you could look into that. And, only a suggestion, no blaming here, OK?

I guess it's the problem of Vista, because I don't have problems with RMG maps using this MOD. I don't have Vista so I can not help you. Just try to use ONLY this MOD.
