Did you expect anything less from a half-Demon...?
Well of course!! He is the son of the freakin Souvereign!! King of all Demons?? Dude hell is all about (ok not only but also!) Temptation and Seduction!! He would have to be The embodiment of indulgence Divinely beautiful and alluring!! COME ON!! HE IS SARETH!! Dam... I'm really disapointed... anyways for me he'll still be the incarnation of lust (I'm not gay but that's how I would imagine the son of the KING OF HELL COME ON!!!)!

@Daystar... Dude thats just sad... anyways I'll make a nice hero in Myticals contest thingy and there you'll see a true Demon of lust....

The map has been made by Marzhin (who already made the Legends of the Ancients campaign), but this time it was at Ubi's request. The map is a special feature of the complete edition, published mid-december, and is released here with the kind approval of Ubisoft.

The current file is the archive taken from the DVD, and it is not user-friendly. If you have any problem running it, deal with it, read the explanations, or wait until we release a repackaged installer, which should be later tonight or tomorrow.

If you want to whine about it, think twice! You can like it or not, but the author (Marzhin) and Ubisoft should be showed respect for making it and allowing us to release it publicly for everyone.

Ok in case what I said came out the wrong way:
Of course I respect the people who made the map and I'm happy that Nival allowed everyone to get this map without purchaseing the package... I haven't played the map myself but I'm sure it's great and with my criticism of the Artwork I in no way ment to offend the genius who made this map... thougth that was clear from the beginning. Sorry if I sounded disrespectful but my critisism aimed at something completly diffrent than the map/campaign.

Yes, if the part about whining was aimed at anyone here, well I doubt that there's anybody who doesn't appreciate the map a lot as a whole.

Hi,

- I must say, this looks very promising Good work Marzhin and Co.

- Guz

Edit It may just be me, but I observed in one of the cutscene ( after the very first, green garrison ) that Sareth did some "double talking" - And that it took a while for it to come on screen. Also after capuring Stonehelm the information about me gathering spells,lvl-up and so on came before/under and after the AI's turns ?

- But overall I am very impressed with it. Specially the view in the first cutscene, nive work

Just finished it. It's a rather nice map with interesting ideas. What I miss is the fact that you don't get to rule a town and build an army. It's very much like most campaign scenarios. Still it's fun. Thanks for uploading it.

Where will this be announced or posted that the "repackaged" one is available for download.

I do agree, thanks to Ubi and the maker of the map, and to you for arranging us to be able to have it {easily...no fighting user UN-friendliness}!

@MPaBkaTa Try auto-combat, it may work until you need to take the battle yourself.

@Lord Evil. You are running the In BinDM game, yes? it wouldn't show in single scenarios

The Dark Messiah map can now be downloaded from AoH, in an installer package (59,3Mb):
http://www.heroesofmightandmagic.com/downloads/maps/DarkMessiah-map-4ToE_installer.exe

The installer lets you choose to either install the new .exe (and will install shortcuts for it), or only the map to access it through your standard ToE game.
You need to install the map in your ToE install folder, and I suggest you place the start menu shortcuts with the ToE shortcuts as well. The default locations in the installer should be ok if you didn't personalize your ToE install.

I have also made some changes to the map package (not the map itself). Here's the list of changes:
- removed the binDM/ folder. The new .exe is now "bin/H5_Game.DM.exe"
- changed the new .exe icon to Sareth's face (instead of the ToE icon)
- the new .exe now loads the map as CustomContentDM/DM.h5m (instead of DM.map)
- removed all non-map specific (english) texts from the map, so that the rest of your game stays in your language (and it's easier to localize the map itself)
- removed the specific autoexec_a2_dm.cfg. It now uses the standard one (autoexec_a2.cfg).

I hope it will make it easier for everyone to enjoy the map.

Quite a bit. Hard to fit an FPS into a TBS . But youll get the basic sense of the story.

I guess the question was more along these lines: "can I play and enjoy the map without knowing Dark Messiah itself?"
In which case I'd say yes you can. As Cepheus roy-algriffin said, the FPS obviously contains more, but the map is self explaining and shouldn't require any previous knowledge of the story.
