I'm pleasantly surprised at how well planechase turned out. I'll be buying some tomorrow; I hope to find a way to collect plane cards without paying for the entire deck. $80 seems a little over the top to spend on a casual format.

Indeed. Also,

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

tis a shame that the "destroy target angel" ability is on a demon and thus cannot target Baneslayer.

Yep, the new Chandra is definitely going in my Extended Izzet deck, becuase having four bolts and three incinerates coming straight at your head is no picnic.

Yeah, well I'm sure the Halo Hunter's ability is meant to target not just M10 angels (although Guardian Seraph is quite the nuisance) but Zendikar's too.

@ mamga - Like a land that returns creatures to the battlefield every upkeep, indeed, I'd consider that powerful

As for todays spoilers, I had a tiny little leap when I saw Ob Nixilis. I love the name, and pair it with land fetchers, Obby can get to a nice fatty and your oppenent a wither pile of flesh.

Nissa disappointed me. I knew she would be the first to get spoiled, with everyone wating on her since Duels...but only good with Elf tribal? Hmm...somehow I expected more. If you don't run elves, Nissa is utterly useless. If I get her, she's getting reimbursed in the form of a Legendary Octopus.

They aren't highly playable in all formats. You don't want to play them in standard unless you play both colors (not that many decks do) as they can only fetch basics. And 5cc won't use them.

The old fetchlands rotate out of Extended when Zendikar is released; the new ones will replace the old ones and the demand from Extended players will be high.

They will be a good contribution to Legacy, especially the U/G one. The B/W, B/G and R/W belong in a few decks whereas I can't see where the U/R one goes.

When standard isn't around to drive the sales, prices won't get that high. I expect them to stabilize around $12-$15, maybe higher for the U/G one. It depends one how many other chase rares the set contains compared to the total number of rares since the market price of singles is tied to the price of displays.
But it might take months before the prices cool down since an entire extended community needs to replace their allied fetchlands with the new enemy ones.

5cc is just about rotating out... besides these are replacing our vivid manabases

so we have whatever shards offered (which was little)
M10 battlelands
and enemy fetches.

5cc rotates out anyway, that's true. I just don't see these lands being used a lot in the current standard decks. They can only fetch basics and you want to be playing both colors (unless landfall becomes competitive) otherwise they don't fix colors. In three color decks they play well with the M10 duals, but that's about it as I see it.

Well, Woock, you better get the scapeshifts now, before they soar in price due to Zendikar's release. As for Harrow, I'd wait for the new art.

Eh, Scapeshift is not going to be in the same Standard as Zendikar, so no worries there, and somehow I doubt Landfall decks will be good enough in Extended, so... Well, I don't know.

I'm quite irritated now! I have tried and tried and tried for days now (Besides from work, football and hanging out with friends) to make a turn 0 to 2 kill deck no one has builded before!!
So my results show me that apparantly its only for geeks to build pro decks!!

So my idea is: Can we together build a super deck no one have sen before? Or is it stupid?

EDIT# Actually snow it! Which of theese two decks looks best? (If they are good anyway)

NUMBER ONE IS BASED ON TRISKELION (STUPID? MAYBE!)
4 Triskelion
4 4 Soul's Might
1 Lotus Petal
3 Lotus Bloom
4 Battlegrowth
4 Elven Rite
4 Llanowar Elves
2 Lotus Blossom
4 Clockwork Vorrac
4 Fate Transfer
4 Alexi's Cloak
22 Forest
Or maybe if 4 Mosswort Bridge and 18 forests?

NUMBER TWO IS A COUNTER GO DECK I THINK?
4 Force Spike
4 Power Sink
4 Counterspell
4 Daze
4 Mana Leak
4 Boomerang
4 Ponder
2 Great Whale
4 Guile
4 Eye of Nowhere
1 lotus petal
3 Gemstone Caverns
18 Islands

The counter-go deck is awful. You only play 21 lands and a single Lotus Petal. You play twelwe cards that provide card disadvantage (Boomerang, Eye of Nowhere, Lotus Petal and the Gemstone Caverns if you start with them in play). You play no draw, only the card selection which Ponder provides. That's three fundamental errors in building a control deck.

Take a look at the first deck listed in this article and understand how it works. That should help you understand why your draw go deck is bad.

With the other deck deck you have eight cards that require non-green mana but only six mana sources that provides this mana and they can only be used once each. There is also quite a lot of dissynergy between Fate Transfer and Alexi's Cloak.

Hmm, i didn't expect them to be good anyways! But thanks ecoris!
I will rebuild the draw counter deck alot! That article is great ;p

I don't think i will build any of these decks!! But that vampire sure belongs that deck ;p

Unless this is better:

4 Force Spike
2 Power Sink
4 Counterspell
4 Daze
4 Mana Leak
3 Impulse
2 Brainstorm
2 Frantic Search
3 Whispers of the Muse
4 Oblivion Stone
3 Chronozoa
21 island
4 Stalking Stones

EDIT# Felidar Sovereign is like the best way to play an alternative win deck?!?! Damn i could make some fantastic combos with this one!!
