I don't have a single favourite card in the set yet, but I intend to complete playsets of the uncommon duals, Vampire Lacerator (2/4), Scythe Tiger (2/4), Ruinous Minotaur (1/4) and Hideous End (3/4).

Oh, and maybe Living Tsunami if I end up having a good amount of decent landfallers.

EDIT: Expedition Map is pretty much a (slightly narrower and sorcery-speed) Tolaria West. Think it could be viable in Vintage to fetch restricted lands? Then again, everything in Vintage plays blue, so the Map's cost is hardly less restrictive.

My favorite Zendikar card is Felidar Sovereign or Rite of Replication

Its easier for me to choose a favorite card of each colour:
Red: Pyromancer Ascension
Blue: Rite of Replication
White: Felidar Sovereign
Green: Rampaging Baloths
Black: Malakir Bloodwitch

Pyromancer Ascension is great if you play with cheap burns like Lava Spike, Rift Bolt and Lighting Bolt.

Rite of Replication is because i love the idea of tokens! Too bad its too expensive to kick it, but the ability to create 5 tokens is awesome!

Felidar Sovereign says: Hellooo Test of Endurance! Please snow off!
You just need some kind of fast way to get this beauti in play and then either before or after a fast way to double your life!

Rampaghing Baloths is awesome in a land-based deck! Lay a land and get a token! Many awesome combos with this one ;p Doubling Season for one.

Malakir Bloodwitch is fantastic in a vampire deck which is kinda easy to make at the moment

of each color?

Oh i see

Green - Summoning trap - that first counterspell hurt bad. nice for sideboards
blue - Archive trap - looks powerful
black - Bloodghast -it looks like a good contender for a monoblack aggro
red - Goblin guide - a 2/2 haste for 1? its pretty good.
white - The two mana creature only oblivion ring.

Okay My Favorite in each category:

White - Luminarch Ascension: I loved this card ever since it was spoiled. Its such a fun flavor, and an Endless stream of Angels makes this maybe the best Enchantment Spawner ever. By the time you've got the counters, you can probably churn out about four maybe five Angels a turn, and you've got the game. Combine that with Pacisfistic Enchys and the all Famous Sigil of the Empty Throne, you've got a good Angel Beatdown.

Blue - I've got a threeway tie: Archive Trap, Cosi's Trickster, and Sphinx of Jwar Isle. The Trap is rather obvious. Cosi's Trickster will be a pain by the time Jund Ramp and Fetching decks get to turn six, you've got a seven/sevn trickster that's been beating you up one step down for the longest time. Sphinx just makes the game unfair for your opponents. Explorer's Scope, hmmm, let's see, nope, not yet.

Black - Hands down, Ob Nixilis. He's just killer in the game once you've got a nice rythm going. Get a Green/Black fetch deck with Oracle of Mul Daya, then you've got some very very painful deals with Demons going on. I'd like to know his story though, since he is a former Planeswalker.

Red - I've got a winner and an honorable. the Honorable is Hellfire Mongrel. I think that a RB Blightning deck could really beat your opponet down fast now. Maybe even by turn five. I don't really like many of the other cards, but I think that Chandra will take the red trophy.

Green - There's a lot of contenders, but Scute Mob. Just too much to handle if you've got four on turn three. then you've got an outrageous overpower coming. Turn by turn, you're opponent dies a little inside.

Artie - Well few cards in sight, the winner for me is the Blade of the Bloodchief. It gets out of hand quickly.

Land - I've loved it ever since it was spoiled, and I still do - Crypt of Agadeem. I love the design, and a turn five kicked Sadistic Sacrament or a Fireball to the face can really give you're opponent grief.

Tormod's Crypt
Black Lotus
Moxen

The card is utter crap in Vintage. You have Crop Rotation and several tutors (all of them restricted). Even Sylvan Scrying looks better.

Just shows how little I know about the format. Oh well.

EDIT: I've heard the locals play some Pauper. I'm starting to think about a GW aggro deck for the format. Scythe Tigers, Silhana Ledgewalkers, Armadillo Cloaks, Akrasan Squires, that kind of thing. I guess Rancor would be pretty rockin' as well.

Could it work? What else should I play?

Emeria, the Sky ruin seems like a no-brainer addition in any mono white deck that runs creatures, as a two-of or so. Especially befitting of a control deck though.

Devout Lightcaster may be a solid sideboard card if black decks get strong.

Roil Elemental dies to almost everything, so it probably won't be competitive, but I still find it fun and would be happy to own a couple.

My mtg friend said that Emira is good in a landfall deck with white and black.. But i think its a no-brainer card too. I just needed your peoples idea of the card...

I rarely meets a black deck that beats me, but there is one deck i normally lose to, "but that is where my new Green Beatdown deck becomes handy".. But i do not have a white deck! I always play red, black and green.

Oh yes, Roil elemental dies to almost every burn spell, and dies to way too many creature abilitues. And his mana cost is too big for his weakness.

I like Roil Elemental because you don't just give up because he's always the target of a burn spell. You make it so that no burn spell can touch him. Simple enough, considering all the fun stuff around that can stop burn in their tracks, like, oh, Mark of Asylum? Then if its spot removal, you're going to have to get craetive. I suggest a good indestrucibility...or maybe someting that can come before the elemental, like a Whispersilk Cloak or something. And that makes it unblockable too, so battle won't go wrong...

Well, one thing Roil Elemental is good for is that it's one of those cards that teach new players how you can't rely on the opponent not interfering in your game plan.

Magic Arcana: Announcing Worldwake

The worldwake symbol is either a hedron splitting open, revealing the interior, or...

More seriously, I had always thought "Worldwake" referred to the wake of some climactic event sweeping across the world. I just read a speculation that it actually means: the world "awakes". This name makes more sense if the hedrons are becoming active.

I think that the hedrons are playing a role in the change, but Worldwake isn't the action, its the preceding conflicts. Hedrons are intensifying the Roil and revealing more hidden ruins, but these ruins aren't empty: they contain powers beyond that of the Roil, powers that may change Zendikar forever.

But those are just my thoughts, since "Prosper" is supposed to be mechanically different from Zen and Ww. But, yes, I think the Hedron's will become more dangerous, like poisoning adventurers minds to do odd things.
