I wonder if somebody would be willing to try out pure black onyx skin, while the metal plates along the back are more gold coloured? That would look nifty...

Try making the skin a little less shiny. Make it a darker color. As Lesij said, and this was my mistake, it looks a little too much like gold. Great job on the armor. Also, try not to make the color of the skin and armor similar.

Gold? heyyyyyy, i got an idea, we can make a Silver Dragon and Bronze Dragon, and Platinum Dragon! why, well, whenever i hear the word "gold", i think of olimpic medals, whenever i think of medals, i think of their types, whenever i think of types of medals, i think of platinum!!!! hmmm... what about a Diamond Dragon? i know, i got lots of ideas!

All right, I'll resend. Its a good thing I haven't deleted it yet.

EDIT: All right, I sent it. I used the "Send E-mail" button so everything ought to work. Just check the E-mail adress you provided when you signed up.

EDIT 2: Regarding Thunderbirds, I still haven't isolated the textures and I'll need to do that some time soon. Does anyone have a link to just the texture for that Thunderbird?

Regarding Behemoths...not a bad idea. But what model do we use? I'm thinking...if it was possible, an enlarged wolf, or walking Archdevil (more non-demonic version). Maybe, but its a very longshot.

On second thought, there's one big thing that could really make the Rust Drakes great. Make the armor look a little more like armor. By this I mean instead of just changing color, try making the armor a dull silver and apply patches of rust to it.

The color of the skin could use a small change but that's actually entirely up to you. Make it as you want it to appear in the final version!

I don't think its important that I know what it stands for, but how will I define this when it comes to prgramming?

i got it, it just came in late for some reason. oh, and how do you want the sparkles, do you want them the the "ribs" of the wings?
EDIT: LOD is used for the adv. map, and the normal one is for combat and where you hire creatures. LOD just has less detail.

Can't you technichally make one image account for both the in-game model and the adventure map model? Ehhh...it doesn't matter yet.

As for the sparkles, just put them along the actual edges (the place where the wing ends and background begins) and make them somewhat weak. The reason for the sparkles is that Azure Dragon will be most powerflu unit in the game. I would like for it to look majestic and royal even. So anything that makes it look expensive is good. But of course, don't make it a Crystal Dragon.

well,it may take while,school takes time and tests comes soon too,maybe in weekend is possible see new version.

and about behomoths,i was thinking first cyclop but then i remembered that currently model editing is very hard.so maybe devil or something like that.

Regarding work on this project, I think many of us will abandon this project for a short time with midterms and the return to school.

Regarding Behemoths, it would have to be a demon. I can't htink of any alternative. If it was possible to get Devils walking instead of Teleporting (which it probably is), one could easily remove the Horns and patches of fire and instead put some other colors. Problem migt be what to do with the weapon though...things like this make me doubt in the eventual existance of a behemoth.

Got your PM. I'm not certain how to do this in Photoshop because I keep working in GIMP but there is actually an option that just adds sparkles. In GIMP it is found in:
Filters -> Lights and Shadow -> Sparkles
Try looking for something similar. Once you find an option like that, I think you'll find your question answer. I think...

EDIT: I was thiking back to Heroes 3...good times...anyway, what do you guys think of a Diamond Golem?

The LOD question is answered below.  As for the icons, you need only use the 128x128.  Nival learned how to auto-resize the icons to suit other purposes when making the expansions, so they only needed one.  The extra icons are now obsolete.

You sure can, that's what Nival finally managed to learn when programming HoF and TotE.  The LOD textures were only used by whoever worked on the original.

Yes...that means I'm learning, I've managed to get my own questions right.

Soory, I ran my 20 post limit. If you're reading this, then you're going to read my attempt at an answer. Okay, if you're just trying to use a retextured Black Dragon (no new creature) just make sure you did everything here:

1)In the data pack, you extracted the following file:
Textures\auto-imported\Creatures\Dungeon\BlackDragon\BlackDragon.tga.dds
2) You edit the image as you wanted to.
3) You have the file located in a non-zipped file with the same location as the one above, only not in the data file, just a loose file in My Documents or something.
4) You right-clicked the Textures folder and selected the option Send to Compressed (Zipped) Folder.
5) You made the new file a .h5u file
6) You put in UserMODs

That would change the appearance of all Black Dragons in the game.
