Might and Magic Spinoffs

Hey, which of these would you like most to see?

All are spinoffs of Heroes of Might and Magic.

An RPG (basically back to the classic M&M)
An RTS
A MMO (Simmilar to WoW. Ignore the Chinese One)

I would like at first choice an RPG, Because its the easiest to do well and have a fun time with, At second a RTS game that uses large armies and a good physics engine would be good. And at third an MMO, its difficult to make and takes a long time, it eats up a fun of funding and a lot of them are flops. I dont know if its worth that.

Sim city type of game would be pretty fun for heroes universe i can see it now.
isn't sim city a rts though?
a real time simulation?

MMO and RPG.  Not a real big fan of RTS personally.  The hirelings (for either) could be creatures from the towns.  Only have 7 max, and must meet certain requirements to have each leavel.  Skill a little different because they would boost your hero directly and army indirectly.  Things like that

I might be interested to see a puzzle game version of HOMM. Maybe something like Myst, full of riddles and mystery. If it's done creatively, I'm sure that it will be very successful.

The other things we have already seen. I think that people play HOMM only because of it's uniquness. It contains some features that you won't be able to find on any other game. It doesn't have the best graphics, exceptional campaign stories or the best missions of all games, but it has a unique style.
I would never change the HOMM style (new features can be added, though), but I would suggest to create versions around it. HOMM itself should remain a turn-based strategy.

Does TCG (trading card game) go to puzzle or to other? I'm a sucker for those games.

A classic RPG would be my second choice. It was already proved by 3DO that it works well.

And I'm against turning a TBS into a RTS or vice versa, usually people prefer one type over the other and if you liked the TBS version, the RTS one just won't be as fun.

Actually I would love seeing a bunch of Pit Lords running down a hill and casting dozens of Meteor Showers on the unfortunate approaching enemy troops That would be awesome to see.

I consider Heroes a spinoff, so it would be fun to call something a "heroes spinoff", especialy RPG game.

Anyway, if done correctly any game would be nice in M&M universe.

I personally am a big fan of Simulation games, so M&M would be fun with simulation. You can make the games incredibly more detailed, since yea don't have to go back on the turns. A thought about it though: wouldn't simulation eliminate combat? Damn, i didn't think about that. Well, RTS is my new choice.

Perhaps like it is in CotN: There is some fighting, but it is minor, mostly off screen, and not the major point.

It would fail. Why would a game succeed based on a engine of another game thats more developed? Apart from that until they make it Wow will be grapphically and conceptually behind . But both games would look the same. It wouldnt last for more then 2 or 3 months.
By the way. A real time RPG could have pit lords running down a hill too. But youd have a better view.

no, i was saying you could own a Town(or towns) and you could build stuff there and recruit creatures there, and then you could have all the creatures walk around with you, kill other small armies of neutrals, and of course, kill other players! just like WoW except BETTER!

It would work with maybe 140 players per server. But armies of 1000 familiars would cause unbearable lag if the game has to render each one and register how much damage it did etc, In other words it would be pretty inefficient. To be honest whichever way you look at it ubisoft will never do it because it takes too much money to get off the ground and its likely to be bug filled and with few players per server (so youd need many)

RPG, naturally, i never played the M&M series (have eaten the cady, but i doubt that matters), however , when i think of it, it seems cool. but our shops seem to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind on everything, top point: Going in store to buy God of War II, they only had I, they never even had II...>.>

Bring Back RPG "Might and Magic" please

I want Gryphonheart / Ironfist storyline with the Ancients at the final chapter *meow~*

plus the Online versions of Might and Magic. using the whole Antarich storyline with "Swords of the New World" level graphics and Multiple Character Control like SoNW (priests should be able to do AUTOHEAL under specific AI stances :lol.....

producer should be Korean (and billing system should be CASH ITEM MALL ONLY!)

Either Erathia or Enroth alone is too small. this time...

Definitely need a new Might and Magic RPG but 9 basically butchered my faith in this world.




Dark Messiah was fun to play but isn't really anything to do with the M&M series (and was a tad dark ), so another of those is fine but shouldn't be in the stead of an RPG>


A RTS could be nice also.

A MMO would be fun but i wouldn't play it (I avoid MMO's now..)
