Let's say it this way: When I achieve at least 50% of the votes I'll prepare my E-Mail to Val, because then half of the modding community wants me  .

Well do as you like but I don't think you should wait for 50% of the people to accept you as you aren't the only contestant you are just the only one who can be voted for directly... In anycase I hope you mail Val no matter how many votes you get because I'm sure you'll do a good job. Besides I would hope that you do not do it alone. But that is of course up to Val and the others and you to decide.

I understand, even though I'm the only one that can get votes directly there is also a "Nah, I think it should be <____________> " option which has the least votes so... Thank you and I'll probably send my E-Mail unless I suddenly get a change of mind

Well yes because it has "Nah" and of course nobody wouldn't want you to be a mod.I think a "Yes, but <__________> would also do a great job" would have been more apropriate. Please do understand I'd really like to see you as an mod but I don't see you as the only option(of course you didn't claim to be!!).

Kronos, if you're interested by the position, then you should send your application. Basing your argument on how popular you might be will not show your maturity, and consequently will not score you any point. 
Also, especially if there is going to be more than one moderator here (which would be a good idea indeed), showing that you are a team player would be nice.
My personal advice, if I may, is however to make sure you can handle both ToK and a moderator role. It would be a loss for the community here if ToK gets less of your attention, and I assume you wouldn't like it either. Seeing as you already answer many questions around here, and especially if there are two mods, I think you could do both. But only you know the time you have.
Of course, the general advice here is valid for anyone else interested.

I have now joined the heroes-fr team, where I've been warmly welcomed, and I'm feeling great there. I will still post here, and I will still release materials in english for the international community from heroes-fr.
But I won't have any responsibility here anymore.
