As for gods and goddesses, making your own is acceptable. Just no major gods (ie the really powerful ones). You can use any of the traditional dnd, greek, roman, egyptian, ect. Or make your own. I'll fit it in somewhere. Sorry about the delayed reply about that. So your finnish god is acceptable to me.

Is it possible for me to look abilities up or stuff I can envole into when I level up? You guys all have some fancy knowledge while I don't know what you're talking about .

Lloth is a Major Goddess, but she is well known in the DnD Universe. She may not be an Asmodeus, but she is a major player. The biggies for evil (not only evil, but the major players) are Asmodeus, Lloth, and Tiamat. The major players for the good guys depend sometimes. Depends on if Greek, Roman, ect. Not using Paladine or those here.

About the spells I can cast I'll probably check a D20 site but can I modify some according to my character's case? Nothing unbalanced, I just may change some effects for the fun of it.

As long as it is within reason yes. Same goes for others. Now if 1st level spells pop up that do 1000000 damage or freeze whole armies  ..

I'm just checking the NWN site which uses DnD system though it seems that they have differences. If you want to check about DnD here it is but I see my NWN much better and organized.
I don't think evolve is the right word for it but it still counts. When you level you can take another class which we call 'multiclassing' (err... is my term right?) And sure you get some other things too like Skills, Spells, Feats etc. (if I forgot something) which you can use on the game especially when fighting!

Last time I checked Lolth is an Intermediate goddess far from the others like Lathander which is one of the Greater gods. But I agree with you that she's like doing some major role and that makes me wonder why is she being counted as just an intermediate deity while her doings doesn't look intermediate...

Doh sorry Azagal, you must have posted right as I did and I didn't see it. Yeah, D20 is a good place to look it up. I don't have a link handy atm (if it is not provided by Ceres) do to work blocking 'game' sites.

Since I don't feel like using the style of sheet I've created to post what my character is, or has, I'll use the one Ceres used, with a few modifications.

Hehe was about to start today but something came up and I had to go None really knows what's going on, you just start in a specific island according to your race and you just proceed according to your wishes. I don't think there's a way to go wrong though I have a feeling that the middle island should be an interesting destination.

That's right. This is not like the CH version. You write your own story, with a little..nudging from me from time to time.  . People, places, events are yours to control. Combat flow is decided by me, but who/what you fight isn't for the most part. I will however throw people into situations.

BOY this is confusing!! I've been going through the sites you guys gave me (thank you very much) and I think I have to spend some more time learning this stuff... So if I write my Story and there is a fight I would have to use these "combat skills" etc. right?

Right. Your combat skills, class, and what you are up against is a major factor. For instance a mage (regardless of skills) that's first level against an ogre stands 0 chance. While a warrior against a kobold would be an easy win (even a first level warrior would have difficulty vs an ogre though). And against a troll? Forget about it if 1st level.
Heres how it works. You write your story up to the point of a fight. You then put what you will try in the fight, but not the results of the fight. That I will do. I know it seems confusing, but it really isn't.
celestialheavens.com find the campfire, and look for Dawn of War (or A dawn of war). Now it is not exactly like this, but it will give a basic idea.

Right thanks. But I still have a few questions though:S.
I'm planing to play a Cleric... now it says something about "Deitys, Alignments, Domains". I've come to understand that my choice of Alignement will determine the spells I get.
So I have a few questions:
1.What Deities can I select? I've found a list of 693 Deities which may be a bit much for me on a saturday morning... You said something about roman,greek mythology?
2.I was planing to go with Evil or Chaotic... so in order I'd like to know the diffrence between those to( I get diffrent abilities and such that I have gathered I'm interested in the "moral" diffrence)
3.What is Chaotic/Good?
4.I want to go for the "War Domain" (develop into some kind of melee cleric...seems as if nothing is imposible in this game) does this prevent me from going into other domains (like Fire for example)?

1. You can use roman, greek, egyptian, or Norse. You can also (within reason) make your own.
2.Evil is just that. You look out for yourself more then others, and don't really care who gets hurt because of it. Chaotic is not evil. Means you don't follow any law you can get away with not following but your good or evil alignment decides how FAR you will go.
3. Means you will bend the rules first, and only break them if people don't get hurt. Robin Hood is a good example of chaotic good. He is outside the law, but does so for a good reason. Personal freedom is more important to you then rules.
4.Depends on your deity. For instance. You can take Thor. War/Lightning. So you would have a major domain (war) and a minor domain (lightning). The major domain you get extra spells from and those spells are more powerful. The minor domain you can choose either more powerful or more spells (and can change this every day) but not both. You may have up to 2 minor domains but 1 major domain only. Appolo would be Sun (major) with fire/war as minors. The key is finding a god that has the domains you desire.
And it really isn't the alignment as much as the god that determines what spells you can use. A chaotic evil cleric can still cast cure wound spells. As long as it benifits them and their deity.
(You can send me an HCM with the major and up to two minor domains you want and I will find a god that fits those if you wish)
