It is probably known thing but you can also do this:
and it will result in this, once you end turn:
All you need is some gold, something like a few millions will defenitely do it. Having a lot of ramparts with treasuries in singleplayer for a few months will do the trick. Then you move the slider to the right and at some point it goes to the left. Boom, you can take money from any player even if they don't have that much
I guess it has to do with certain programming issues where if a number exceeds the maximum it was supposed to be, it will be considered a different thingy and gets a minus sign in front of it.

The gold thing is not that bad considering u can just avoid using the bug, but not letting necros farm their skeletons is kind of a downer, considering those skells are a major factor in their army strenght, had to rebalance whole map because of this issue.
Also can you do that -gold in multiplayer, would wanna do that to my h3 pal to mess with him ;D

Well yeah but you need really much cash in terms of multiplayer game. I would suggest getting like 5+ ramparts with treasuries and a few months of time without spending more than a few % of your current gold per week.
So busted!

1. There is no Conflux town in original version of HoMM III. Conflux was added with Heroes of Might and Magic III: Armageddon's Blade expansion pack.
2. Conflux is obviously an crazy overpowered/unbalanced cheater's town.
