Test Your Star Wars Knowledge Game
Rules for Pre-Launch- Just like in a shuttle launch, the prelaunch is designed to make sure everything is good to go. So, here I will give you a nice and easy amount of five questions that are very basic in the Star Wars game. That way you can know what to expect. The questions will also be very general. Then from there on out, the questions will keep getting more complicated and theme-based, like certain episodes or elements of the Star Wars Universe. I ask you that you please to keep the research to a bare minimum. If you can find the answer someplace, that's alright. But, if you have to go back and rewatch the episodes, you probably don't know it. Take research as a splash of cold water for you're brain. Any questions, please HCM me.
RULES PRIMER-
Each week, a new set of questions are posted on the master post (a new master post may be added as time goes by). Any or all of the questions can be answered (1). Each question is normally worth one point (2). Answers may be changed in any point during that particular week. Some questions may ask the obvious; others take some thought. Please refrain from looking up answers unless you know you know it but forgot what it was. If it doesn’t come to you at first, it probably is not knowledge (3).
Every week a new category of questions take the stage. When that week has expired, a new category is posted before the questions are. That gives you time to familiarize yourself with that section of the Star Wars Universe.
If at any time in the contest you wish to resign, just HCM me, and I’ll lock in your score. Although I really wish you’d stay in until the end, I can’t stop you from leaving. Please attempt to stay in.
Special rules may give some added fun to the contest whenever they fit. Special instances may earn you extra points. If you see a problem with one of the questions, HCM me.
1) If you honestly don’t know the answer to the question, don’t worry! It won’t count against you for either an unanswered or an incorrect answer. It just doesn’t earn you any points!
2) In such cases that the question has a number of answers, you gain a point level depending on the quality of the answer. Very descriptive explanations, grammatical correctness, and deeper and more experienced answers warrant more points, the maximum being 3 points.
3) I want this contest to be as fair as possible. If you search around for the answer just to get it right, it takes away from the spirit of the game. Although you may “snoop” around, please don’t do it for every question.
As always is the case here in the Coliseum, the object of the game is to have fun. Try your hardest and give it your all. “May the Force be with you!”.

At least i can get number 4 differently..
1) Jedi order
2) lightsaber
3) Hyperdrive (it owns warpdrive )
4) Something not mentioned.... Coruscant, the capitol one

In case any of you were wondering, to prevent people from copying answers, I will give each player questions on a rotating basis. For example, on Monday, I'll give five questions to, say, Mytical. Then, on Tuesday, I'll give 'em to yasmiel. It will be random. In the case that it exceeds the week in amount of days, i'll post more than one player a day.
Better idea: Everyday, I'll give everyone a different question. They answer, and either get the point or don't. Again, new rules and things are going to be thrown in to mix things up.
The pre-launch points don't count, but I'll post your score anyway. I'm thinking about just giving it

Thread cleaned, this is not the wastelands or tavern people! Although your captions were funny, please have some consideration for the person who is spending time creating a fun game for you all to play. Can't wait to see who will win this thing!

The Pre-Launch has concluded. Though not everyone posted this round, I will tally those who did.
Pinkspear- MIA
Elvin- Copied Planet Alderaan - 1/2 point
Azagal- MIA
Mytical- Unique Planet Tatooine - 1 Point
wog_edn- Unique Planet Naboo - 1 point
yasmiel- Correct #3 - Hyperdrive, Unique Planet Coruscant = 2 points
Spectrum- Correct. 1 point (1 brownie point for correct spelling!)
Orfinn- MIA: Correct answer, Utupau.
I've hammered out the rules (mostly). I going to try to design multiple answer questions (like #4). I will rate the answers on level of uniqueness. For example:
Sample) Name a planet referred to in Episode III.
-Level one would be the abvious ones, like Utupau, Mustafar, Coruscant. They'd be worth 1 point.
-Level two would be rather uncommon places like Kashyyk (only mentioned once) or any Order 66 death planets (like Naboo or Felucia)
-Level three would be extremely rare. Though I can't think offhand of any planets, I'll rate this rarely.
I'll update the Primer soon. Official competition starts February 8, 2007.

Its time to start competition! This week's category is Alien Species!
1) Name an alien that cannot live outside its own atmosphere.
2) Name a human-like race (races that in general look human).
3) Some species can breathe underwater. Name one.
4) Name a creature from the Star Wars dual-triliogy.
5) Some species are immune to the Force. Name one (special note: no copying penalty).
!!!BONUS!!!- Few species can live in a vacuum. Name one of those aliens.
