Need help with mod. Refuses to work.
Hey all, I'm new here.
I'm having trouble with a mod of mine. I'm trying to use the model of Alaric, with new textures, as a hero for the Necropolis.
I currently use one mod, the one that unlocks all heroes for singleplayer maps. But when I remove that, and put my own mod in, and I check for my hero in the selection menu, he ain't there! Mysterious to me. Then I put all those files into the hero-unlocking one, and put it back as a *.h5u, and all heroes, except the modded Alaric, shows up.
This is för ToE, by the way.
Anyone who could take a guess?
The files I modded:
\Characters\Heroes\DS\ = All files with the name Alaric in them.
\GameMechanics\CreatureVisual\Heroes\Alaric.(CreatureVisual).xdb = Renamed to AlaricNecro.(CreatureVisual).xdb
\MapObjects\Haven\Alaric.(AdvMapHeroShared).xdb = Renamed to Alaric_Necro.(AdvMapHeroShared).xdb and moved to Necropolis folder.
\MapObjects\_(AdvMapHeroSharedGroup)\Heroes\Necropolis_Stantart.xdb = Added a line for Alaric_Necro
\Textures\UI\H5A2\Icons\Heroes\Portrets128x128\Alaric./Texture).dds/.xdb = Renamed to Necro_Alaric.(Texture).dds/.xdb
I appreciate any help I can get.

The fact that he shows up is controlled by the two MapObjects/ files you mentioned. In particular, make sure the <ScenarioHero> tag in the AdvMapHeroShared file is set to "false".
If it still doesn't work, it's something around this. If you can share the mod (or send it to me), I'll have a quick look.

Removed my links, because of them being dead.
I decided for two links, in case one would not work.
And I checked the (ScenarioHero) tag, and it was set to false.
If you can find any problems, please, do tell so that I can try to learn from my mistakes .
