HoMM 1 & 2: Where to find?
Where can I find HoMM 1 and 2 for sale? I was thinking perhaps it could be found as a digital download, like those you pay and then download. Or perhaps, if there is no official sorce for buying them anymore, a site where they could be downloaded? (as abandonware?)

EDIT: By the way, I found HoMM 1 for digital download here
Hope I can find HoMM 2 too. I kind of dislike having to buy from people and not companies, I haven't done it yet in fact...
EDIT 2: Got HoMM! =) Installed and running fine, just one question: how do I know which version I am using (as in if I need to patch or no)?

Rightclick Heroes.exe file...properties...version.

I tried that, but it doesn't show it... maybe because it is a DOS program so it's properties look kind of different.

Thanks for the links. It'll be interesting to play, but then again I have played kings bounty which was even earlier than 1 and 2.

i downloaded H1 from abandonia too. however at the first run, i get an error. i don't remember that well, i think it was a sound problem. anyway, the game quits then but after i run it again i have to manually set fullscreen mode. maybe it's just a incompatibility with my sound card  the game runs okay after that.

I had the same thing happen to me. Not sure what it did but I don't mind running it in a window, since it looks better when the graphics aren't stretched as far.

I never liked Windowed mode at anything. Even my messenger windows are streched
Oh... you can use full screen mode now. Try it. It's much better.
