HC's Funniest Videos!
Hey, I'm Wulfstan8182(you knew that), and I am going to try to start my very first and very cool contest!
Heores Community's Funniest Videos! The idea came to me when TnT made his HC Worldvision Constest. Although this is not about music, it is sort of related. Here, in North America, we have this very popular TV show called America's Funniest home Videos(AFV). It is a show where people from all of the States and Canada have to enter a funny video they made themselves. Here, at HC, i decided we should do something similar. The only thing is, that not everybody owns video camera's and not everyone has time to film something or they are just unlucky. So, i decided members can either make their own video, or find one on YouTube(or somthing else) and enter that. Now, a little background history on AFV.
Produced by Vin Di Bona (with co-executive producers Todd Thicke and Michele Nasraway)[1], it is currently the second longest-running entertainment program on ABC. It is based on the Tokyo Broadcasting System show Fun TV with Kato-chan and Ken-chan, which featured a segment in which viewers were invited to send in video clips from their home movies. The format has since been reproduced around the world, and AFHV-inspired TV specials and series continue to emerge periodically in the United States.
Every week, three videos are chosen by the producers and voted on by the studio audience. The winner wins US$10,000, and is in the running for the $100,000 prize at the end of the season, while the runner-up receives $3,000, and third place banks $2,000. Very early in the show's run, the second and third prizes were a new TV and a new VCR, respectively. On the initial hour-long special, the grand prize was $5,000 with second and third places winning a new camcorder; the producer picked the winner, with no audience voting.
Starting with the third season, the show featured the "Assignment America" segment; which called for a series of videos to be made pertaining to a specific theme. Also, Saget's era produced a memorable segment called "Freeze Frame" which was a montage of videos with the song "Freeze Frame" played by the J. Geils Band. The show was so successful in its first year that in 1990 it spawned a spinoff entitled America's Funniest People.
On January 26, 2007, ABC renewed America's Funniest Videos through the 2007-2008 Season, which became the show's 18th season.

Da rules of HCFV!
#1. The video must obey the CoC
#2. You have to post differant videos in each round
#3. It has to be funny!
So, i'll explain how this contest works.
There will be a couple of rounds. depending on how many ppl participate.
In every round, people will vote for their favourite video.
Every vote will count as a point, or a  . Every round, people will vote. In the FINAL, there(I hope) will be about 4-5 people. And there will be 3 winners, 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place.
The first place receives 1 or 2 QPs, depending on how funny kookie thinks it is. And all the other prizes
The second place receives a custom avatar which was voted by other members and suits them best. And the 3rd place prize.
The third place winner receives... hmm... i don't know, 1st place winner will decide!
So, i'm sort of new, and don't kow if this has been done before. first of all, tell me what you think. second, i would like 2-3 judjes. especially you baklvava

Kool. This looks like fun 
I hope alot of people actually make their own videos though... {rather than just linking things}
I like the idea of a full competition, with one player being eliminated each week. Maybe you could have a point system, and the person with the least number of points is out. The other system will make it a very quick comp and it's not really fair to everyone, as someone may have come 2nd, but just been up against the winner in the first round if you know what I mean.
QPs are about effort, creativity, originality, community spirit, {and sometimes humour/intellectual massaging}. If the entries fulfil these criteria then there are shineys up for grabs  .
It could be fun to get the members to vote for this one, rather than a panel of judges. One vote per user that has been here at least one week before today.
They're my ideas, take them or not, it's up to you
-note if you can get 20 people to commit to this then maybe you will have to eliminate people more quickly. And it will also be the most participated comp since the original ICTC

thanks guys. here is what i have in mind after kookie's suggestions. people who wana vote, it doesn't matter whether they participate or not, at the end of the round will vote for their favourite one. people who are taking a part in this contest will also have the ooportunity to vote. there is one "but" tho. they cannot vote for themselves, this makes it fair. at the end of the round. 2-3 people with the least votes will be eliminated. i would still like there to be judjes who are the experts of humor tho. when the judje votes for someone, their vote will count as 3 votes. what do you think about all of this?

Woah. Nice idea, count me in!!!!
I'm not sure if I wanna participate. Can you take clips from the actual AFV? Cuz in my whole life the only videos that ever brought tears to my eyes were from AVP

sure! anything will do! it can be films or animation. doesn't matter. BTW, i would really like to see some expert comedians singing up for judjes.
EDIT: come on! we got 206 reviews and only 3 entries! please join!
EDIT2: kookie, please un-sticky it, it has been on for about a month and i only have 3 ppl, thx. too bad nobody wants to participate.

How can you film what's happening on the monitor? I mean, you can press PrintScreen and get the image. Can you do something similar to make the movie? Do you need a special program to do this? A device (camera etc.)?? PLEASE HELP ME!!
