Widescreen patch for Heroes 3

Hi,

Anyone knows if is there any patch for HOMM 3 to play on Widescreen?
I have a max of 1440*900 monitor and while I can play Heroes on the original resoultion, it would be nice to play it on wide res if possible.

Thanks,
Champ.

bump.
I'm hitching a ride on this thread. I too have a widescreen monitor so I'm interested if I could somehow modify heroes to use wide screen res.

The way it's now, textures are very spread out, grainy

I've never heard of one, but it would be interesting.

maybe it will be in WOG, but not in 3.59 version. Perhaps in 1-2 years people will make such patch

On my 1650 x 1050 I can toggle it from 16:9 to 4:3 display mode and then H3 works fine.

Do you have any idea what WOG actually is?

I'm afraid you will have to wait for VCMI, for now it supports a few different resolutions and new ones are easy to implement.

I know exactly what is WOG and what is VCMI. Definitely, it's possible to make some other resolution in VCMI, however it's possible in WOG too, just not so easy. Part of CoreWOG team is considering opportunities about it. I don't think that it's more difficult than parallel turns for T.E., and they work already!

Yeah, alot of widescreen monitors have that as an option in the menu. (mine just shows a "Normal" and a "Wide" option)
