Or would that just be... battle results? Dang it Gnomes what are we (you) missing... =.= I'm still stuck on "if our pokemon leveled up and are only KO'ed, not shadowed, would they not be fully restored and able to help move stuff out?"...  Like we finished battling the taskmaster on 291. That's when the stat's were reset for any pokemon out from that encounter right?

I almost had a "hey wait Pellana's pokemon were fine" why is she hitting me.... ah yes... she only had Hitmonlee and one of them revived after the taskmaster...

Edit x2 ~ Am I on the DM's poo list?

Pokemon only get the difference between their old HP value and their new HP value when they level up (so, level 25 Pokemon with 10/98 HP levels up to 26 -> 12/100 HP after the level up).

And yes, the leveling-up occurred after the Taskmaster fight and before the fight with the Grunts. If the Pokemon who leveled up were going to regain consciousness they'd have done it by now. You need something a little more drastic, hint hint.

Well, if we could evolve some pokemon, that might work. But to do so in this case would either require trading (which we can't, since they don't have pokeballs,) or evolution stones (which I'll check each pokemon, but I don't see any that have a particular evolution stone off the bat) or... well, if we have rare candies, and a pokemon is close to leveling, that might work?

Consulting my pokedex here, are any of these pokemon close to evolving?

Also, I have gone back 50 pages in the IC, and I did not find the post where Poli evolved. I might just be blind.

Edit: LOMBRE EVOLVES WITH A WATER STONE, WHICH MINA HAS.

Edit 2: Mina also has our only rare candy. So we might want to get her back in the room...

It evolved from Poliwag into Poliwhirl, it was around 274-276. I also have a Leaf Stone which would evolve Weepinbell but I doubt that would get rid of it's shadow effect and don't know if it'd evolve anyone else. I also still have that pokemon egg. Shame that didn't hatch as an abra with just teleport LOL Also during my re-reading found that Sacred Talisman I acquired de-shadows pokemon 50% faster... has me wondering if I wasn't set up for this lol

The de-shadowing charm will be helpful eventually, but I don't think it will help here. Even with de-shadowing, the most we could cleanse a particular pokemon is 45%, which wouldn't be enough to cure them entirely (doesn't even get us half-way there, unfortunately.)

I thought those only work on pokemon that are conscious?

I'm also somewhat amused that each item you plan on using.... isn't even one of yours XD LOL Mina's gonna be SO mad at you...er....us....

Look, normally you can only evolve via level by battle experience. But the water stone is an item that does not require a conscious pokemon to use it, and rare candies can be applied to unconscious pokemon as well.

Also, I think Mina has no use for those two specific items. Well, I guess she might want to use the rare candy eventually... but iirc her roster doesn’t include something that evolves with a water stone (her pikachu uses a Thunder stone, of course.)

From what I remember from playing the games though, if a pokemon is KO'ed and evolved with a stone, it's still KO'ed. I guess I'll wait and see. Idk what's going to happen.... =.=

Evolving typically doesn’t give you a full heal, period. So if Kareeah is ruling it does in one case, I’m guessing it will in another.

This is actually my last guess, by the by.

I am in fact. I figure if the critters can spontaneously grow in size and conformation in the space of a few seconds, a few bruises going away can be hand-waved, and the anime liked to give newly-evolved Pokemon a second wind, so there's precedent. Also, it only works on Pokemon that are capable of evolving, so theoretically hard to abuse.

I will note that this only applies to HP; stat damage (EX: broken bones) can actually be made worse (or permanent!) with evolution, to reflect the bones healing incorrectly due to the aforementioned re-conformation.

Okay, if Bronzor is able to evolve, then... Aw crud. Makhuita is still TOO FAT to actually be chosen. I misremembered and thought it was just 135 lbs, so that's still a NOPE there.

So then, revised list in that case...

The Geodude, Sentret, Zubat, Ralts, Caterpie and Kriketot being carried between two people (Mark and Mina, probably) which should be exactly 100lbs there.

Marick, the Happiny and the Vespiqueen in the cart being carried by Pellena.

Mime jr, the Spoink and the Kricketot being carried by the travois+taskmaster

And then Slackoth, Zigzagoon and Pachirisu being carried between the last two people (probably Matt and Wain) to round things out.

And... I believe that's actually all of the unconscious-but-alive pokemon at that point? Well... all of them except the Makhuita.

Hmmm... Hey Kareeah, is the Travois sturdy enough to support Marick? If two people drag it instead of just the Taskmaster, it potentially has 150lbs of carrying capacity instead of 100. But I could see an argument that the metal body would cause too much damage to the fabric to support it.

If my little steel type can be carried on the travois, then the carrying order will instead be:

Pellena+Cart: Makhuita and Vespiqueen (exactly 275 lbs)

Travois+2 people: Marick, Ralts, Kricketot

2 other people: Spoink, Sentret, Zubat

Last person: Mime Jr., Pachirisu, Caterpie

This should get all of the trainer-owned (and potentially trainer owned) pokemon out of the area, and should also get a handful of the wild pokemon out as well.

Sound good to you, Gorman?

Edit: Well, we could also just evolve my Kirlia (Tattersail) or Mina's Natu as well, but... something tells me that whatever those things outside do to mess with teleportation will still work while we're inside of the ruins. So I'm not for that plan right now. Also, since Natu could have evolved 6 levels ago, Mina probably has a reason to not evolve that birb.

Just eye-balling this, you've got the Kricketot listed twice.

It's the ruins itself (recall: the anti-Teleportation quality was one of the reasons Bandra holed up here - it means no one can Teleport in on top of them unexpectedly). So yes you are going to have to at least get the Pokemon out of the building if you want to try that.

Natu's wing was damaged sufficiently that if he evolves before it heals properly he'll never fly properly again. Mina will protest if you ask her to sacrifice her Pokemon's wing.

(Also her player wanted Wish so she could stop role-playing the injuries Mina sustained back in 2008, but that has been accomplished now. )

Okay. Crud. Forgot about not being able to level up Shadowed pokemon. Give me a sec and I'll give you the FINAL REVISED LIST of pokemon to carry out here...

Pellena+Cart: Marick, Bronzor, Pachirisu

Mark+Mina: Vespiqueen and Ralts.

Matt: Sentret, Zubat, Kricktot, Caterpie

Wain+Travois: Spoink, Mime Jr.(Because I do not trust the Taskmaster with the task of carrying that cart. Knowing Kareeah, he'll probably do his best to sabotage any tool we give him)

Taskmaster: Zigzagoon (Gets NO trainer pokemon, works on his own, and gets nothing heavy or bulky enough that he can "accidentally" drop it. Again, just in case.)

If the Graveler can handle it, we'll have it carry the Makuhita

And there. This final list has Every Single Trainer-owned Pokemon (except the Makuhita) That We Identified. So it is the finalized list, tm.

Idk I feel I bound the taskmaster sufficiently in a manner that all a person has to do is raise his arms behind him up to force him forward. If I'm reading these ruins correctly, we just need to get out of the hole and we should be good to teleport. Unless we need to get....farther from them...I guess...

Well, we need to un-bind the taskmaster in order to get him dragging stuff around, or to hold a pokemon, because he needs two open haaaaaaands for that. Also, we need him to climb the stacked boxes in order to get him out with the other things we are transporting.

Also, we should probably get out of the temple in the next post or three. My vote is, evolve the geodude, have it help however it can for box stacking and, if able, have it carry the heaviest non-assigned pokemon it can, and then we GTFO and meet up with that poke-ambulance.

Aaaalso... the Shrine of Light was, like, right next to the camp, right? Because I swear, when we hit the camp before (a year and a half ago...), it was nested right at the base of the ruins.

Yeah, from some of the grunts earlier...

“…thought we already checked back this way. Anyway wouldn’t any troublemakers be on the other side of the Shrine?”

Unless this shrine is just way bigger than I’ve been thinking, sounds like we just went through the back door. >.>

No, it was actually a fair distance away, we just Teleported most of that distance. The ones in the Shrine are a separate camp.
