Gen 3 was the berries that you had to plant in soft dirt scattered semi-randomly around the world. This was the one that I liked the least (over-all) but still harvested the most from. You could water the berries at certain times to make the crop larger, and you always produced at least 2 of each type (sometimes 3 or 4 in the base crop). The thing that I didn't like was how scattered the berries were and the timer placed on them... Could never figure that out. ^^;

If gen 4 has the same mechanic in Heart Gold, then you have four berry pots that you can carry with you like a miniature garden. Planted berries work much like the gen 3 version beyond that point, but always in the palm of your hand (Which I found more useful, even though you can't get as massive of a crop...). The thing is, though, if you leave a berry unwatered for too long (say you're on vacation or something for three days and you planted berries before you went), the berries in the pot will actually disappear and die, and you can't get anything back. Which is rather bothersome.

Gen 5 I have not played (*Dramatic gasp*) so I don't know the berry situation there.

Gen V doesn't have Berry growing, unless you count the Dream World. Dream World has all your plots in one place, but you can't transfer more than 20 of a kind to your handheld game at a time. And now they have a stupid mechanic that makes them convert into Dream Points after a while, so  you can't horde lots and lots of them. :\ They don't vanish if you don't come back for them in a certain timeframe though.

but it at least let Mina warn the others when they were about to do something stupid like attack the Wispaferyn with Fire attacks (that was, when Mina remembered and the trainer in question listened, anyway)

Was that me? I'm not sure. I do remember, when this RP wasn't too old, I did have grimer attack a steel type with a poison attack...

Don't worry about it; everyone has, including Mina. (Though I will encourage you to avoid that sort of thing in the future as the fights are only going to get worse... )

Pokemon to work on:
Froslass
Steelix

Rather short list... but it will be hard to get either of them. Froslass should be easier, since I can mine the Dawn Stone and catch one in a cold place, but Steelix requires a metal coat and I have no idea where to find one of those...

It's only been in effect for two rounds gnomes. (Technically three, but the first round Wooper acted before it got confused, so no roll there.)

I know, but if the current roll trend goes on then this wooper is going to critically succeed his next roll and escape confusion. >.>
