@Mytical: Pity it wasn't using Rollout. I let your trick work though...partially...

@wog: 10 EVs for Gastly. They don't get EVs for the first five levels, since that's the level they normally hatch at. Also 12 for Rhyhorn now.

@Everyone:

You may have noticed I tweaked how I'm doing attacks that hit more than one foe; we'll see how it works out. The last time I did a multi-target move it hit EVERYONE on the opposing side; now the number of targets will be determined thus:

2 + ((Attacking stat the move uses - 20) / 10)

So for example, Swift uses the Special Attack stat to determine its damage. Sandslash has a Special Attack of 38. So for Sandslash, the number of targets hit will be:

2 + ((38-20) / 10) = 3 targets.

Naturally this will apply to us as well once we start getting moves that hit more than one Pokemon.

Note that attacks like this will always hit at least two targets regardless of how low the relevant stat is, so it will still work the same in normal double battles.

Also weather moves, like Sandstorm and Bleak Void, are not affected by this tweak and will still damage everything not of the apropriate types.

Thoughts? Opinions?

EDIT: Realized I had it listed as mod when what I wanted was division. Fixed now.

Sounds good to me.

Edit : Our pokedex gives us the HP (or at least a general idea of a pokemon's health right?)

Question, the 2 levels.  Does that apply to 'fainted' pokemon? (Including Growlithe as he got knocked out by one of em ?) Or just Evan and Phoebe (the two that didn't end up unconscious).

JUST in case here is the EV's (once I figure how much they get .. sec).  I am guessing 2 each???

Growlithe - 2 Special Attack
Phoebe - 2 Defense
Hedge - 1 speed, 1 attack
Evan - 2 attack
Ditto - 2 Hitpoint.
Stripes - 2 Hitpoints

2 EVs apiece is correct. And yes, that includes the Pokemon that went unconscious.

Technically not yet, but it is going to take a lot of good luck and/or really clever tactics to win at this point.

EDIT:

Training:

You can train your Pokemon whenever you have some time to kill and a reasonable amount of space to train in. You train your Pokemon by working with them uninterrupted for a certain stretch of time (dependent on level); you can fluff it however you like. Beyond that, there are no specific requirements other than that your Pokemon must be in reasonable state to be trained (i.e. not unconscious, asleep, or similarly inconvienenced).
You can train a Pokemon up one level in (current level/10 drop decimal) hour(s) (or half an hour if they’re below level 10).

Limitations:

*You can only train one Pokemon at a time (i.e. leveling up both Sandshrew and Pikachu one level would take an hour EACH, so a total of two hours).

*Two trainers assisting each other can each level up a Pokemon (so if Misty were to help Draloed, she could level up Hedge while he levels up Ironsides, and only an hour will be needed, not two).

*Each Pokemon is limited to a max of 3 levels by training in a day, and no more than 5 levels over a three day period. (Breaking this rule yields no results except temporary stat loss and a Happiness hit due to exhaustion. Special thanks go to Mytical for that. )

Good!

winter expressed his approval as well. I figured it'd be a good way to close the level gap between some of our lower-level Pokemon and our primary battlers. Because the farther we get into the game, the bigger that gap is going to get, and the harder it's going to be to close it. This should help.

Forgot about those EVs. At least for now, continue with what I had done before. Def, Spec Def, or both. If both, I don't really care which is higher, just as long as they're within 1 of each other.

Holy cow...7 geodudes?!   Total of eight pokemon huh?  We don't have many that are strong vs geodudes.  At least all but my Growlithe are not exactly weak against them.  Still most of our attacks will do half and theirs will do full.  This could get hairy.  Dang it, why didn't I run into a grass type pokemon in that tall grass!

At least the pikachu is strong vs the poliwhirl, what concerns me is the fact that it has to be AT LEAST level 25.

Starting his classes. I'm hoping to turn control back over to him once the Dewdrop group gets to Ternai. (Or catches up time-wise. Whichever.)

EDIT: winter, you're up!

Also, finally got the CS thread updated (fund changes, changes in Shadowing totals for Christian, and Pylus' level-ups).

EDIT AGAIN:

Per winter’s request, here is the summery of the events between when I picked up the mantle and now:

Christian has been mapping out the Bandra Base. He had breakfast, investigated some strange machines in the Bandra Base Pokemon Center, fought a Grunt and lost, then got recruited by Officer Tenma to subdue some Pokemon that had escaped in Experimental Storage. He asked Tenma if he could catch some of them and the latter agreed, so he now has a Geodude and is pursuing an Aipom and a Sableye. It’s about 8AM for him; Selene’s due to return from Dream’s aborted execution by 9AM.

Brona has succeeded in making it to Ternai Town on his mission to help stop Team Bandra from attacking. On the way he saved a Fisherman from a frothing Primeape, fought off some Ghost Pokemon with the help of a Gastly he then captured, picked up a Pokemon egg, and caught a Rhyhorn. He arrived in Ternai in time to catch the end of Draloed’s match with Pellana. The two of them plus Pellana then went to the Pokemon Center, where Brona met the girl with the egg-sensing Chansey. She introduced herself as Adrina and he’s just asked her for a practice match.

Draloed lost his match against Pellana (). He then accompanied Brona to the Pokemon Center, then left to train Pylus. He trained for an hour (netting Pylus 2 levels) then Misty, Mina and Stacey arrived. They’re exchanging greetings now.

Misty, Stacey and Mina wandered around Dewdrop for a while. Mina caught her Natu (and the little glitch broke two Pokeballs too; I ended up burning a Great Ball on him ), Stacey got attacked by a Fearow and Misty played volleyball with some Wiliter.

The volleyball game led Misty to learn that Team Bandra was holding a boy named Kyle captive; Misty being Misty, she immediately set off to rescue the poor kid. She broke him loose, but got discovered and the pair of them ran off. Far enough away to be safe, Misty found out the Grunts who had Kyle were stealing Pokemon—she promptly turned around, texted Mina and Stacey and the three met up.

They found the Grunts again and a fierce battle ensued, but the Grunts were eventually driven off. The three of them got the wagon the Grunts were using into working order and set off for the Pokemon Center just outside Dewdrop. There they spent the night.

They got rudely awakened by a bunch of Grunts attacking the next morning, but these were driven off. The trio got on the road again and arrived outside Ternai Town; here they met Draloed.

It is 3PM for everybody but Christian. Bandra’s due to attack tomorrow. You need to tell mamga whether or not Pylus has learned any new attacks. Anything else?
