((Who is mister Nuzlocke mode?))

"Hmmm...I admit, that Linoone is not only well groomed, it's though!" Christian said cheerfully "Damn it, why do I not possess any fighting type moves?!" he thought inside his head before calling for a bullet punch.

((EDIT: Wait, Tyrogue evolved into Hitmonchan at level20 right. And Tyrogue does not learn any moves on it's own other than the four it has at the beginning(Tackle, Fake Out, Helping Hand and Foresight)) right. SO WHERE THE HELL DID I GET BULLET PUNCH FROM?! As bullet punch is a move Hitmonchan learns at level16, but my Tyrogue evolved at level 20, so Hitmonchan can't have learned that attack. And Tyrogue does not learn anything before it evolves so. Man, this is confusing me.

EDIT: By no means does this mean I want you to take away my bullet punch, nonononono!))

"Thank you!" your opponent replies cheerfully. "It's really amazing what some tender loving care can do for a Pokemon...Linoone, Headbutt!"

((Ahh~ Right! Yes thanks that would be lovely. Well it was a bit confusing when I started browsering Tyrogue's and Hitmonchan's move list and discovered that bullet punch was not there. So I was a little bit shocked))

"Return Hitmonchan, go Geodude, use Magnitude!"

((Hoping for Magnitude 10!!))

You return Hitmonchan!
You call out Geodude!

Linoone uses Headbutt!
Geodude is hit for 13 damage!
It's not very effective...

Your opponent crosses her fingers; Geodude is nearly down but a very durable Pokemon...

Linoone uses Headbutt! ((Roll = 96))
Geodude is hit for 12 damage!
It's not very effective...
Geodude faints!

"Yes!" she cheers. "All right Linoone?"

The Normal type answers an affirmative, obviously pleased with itself for taking down the Rock type and ready for more.

After Stacey gets up, the first thing she does after getting ready is go and speak with the nurse about getting her pokemon back.

Stacey:

The nurse expresses surprise; apparently your Sandshrew scans as a wild Pokemon, and she's been treating it as such. ((OoC: Pokeball was smashed. It was either that or send you on a quest to go find the thing. Maybe we'll do that next time.)) She says she's willing to take your word for it for the Pokemon's sake if nothing else, but you'll need a new Pokeball.

She suggests you pick up a Friend or Luxury Ball for it since the prosthesis to replace Sandshrew's front legs haven't arrived yet anyway, but warns that she can only hold Sandshrew for a week ((total, as in you're at ~6 ˝ days left if you go this route)) at most without permission from the Pokemon Institute or the region's Pokemon Professor—the former having abandoned Helnith because of the war and the latter having disappeared into the Spectral Dimension some ten or twenty years ago, making an extension unlikely.

Mark is able to say, "Meep!" Before the nurse shoos him out of the room. He sits outside for a few seconds before he decides, "You know what? Let's go find some wild pokemon!" Of course, this will only keep him occupied for about 3 hours and then Mark will decide to write his journal entries. The area he will search is on the eastern side of the town, and he will stick to tall grasses if he can get away with it.

Mark:

You leave town to look for Pokemon. The majority of the wilderness in this part of the region is grassland, so you have no problems sticking to tall grass. In spite of this, however, nearly two of your allotted hours pass with no sign of anything ((lousy lousy encounter rolls)). You're approaching hour three when you see a Taillow swooping low over the grass, chasing ((non-Pokemon)) insects.

((FYI you've got one more encounter after this.))

Skarmory: 61/61

Taillow: 41/41

Stacey:

The Nurse tells you the nearest place to buy Luxury Balls is Skybreak City, but the city is currently being blockaded by its defenders and it's very difficult to get in or out. She says the best place for a Friend Ball would normally be the town of Prai...but there's been a swathe of Bandra territory between there and Rieva ever since Stardust City and the Shrine of Light fell. She suggests instead you check around with Contest Coordinators or perhaps Pokemon Breeders—Apricorn balls are apparently popular with those sorts, and there's a Contest happening in Ceris in a few days ((*checks* day after tomorrow for you)) so trainers of those types will likely be gathering there. Alternatively, ask around—lots of trainers pick up specialty balls for one reason or another, and you might find someone willing to help you.

Mark stepped behind Skarmory, just in case, and readied himself for the battle. "Alright Skarmory, let's get this started! Use leer!" It might be useful to have another flying type, just in case Mark had to fly some supplies or doe a bit of reconnaissance for the squad... IF he caught it, the little bird would basically be Mark's wingman!

"That should be enough of that... alright skarmory, use peck!" The steel-type's type advantage was looking very, very good at the moment. Hopefully, it would go off without a hitch like the encounter with the Corphish.

Mark pulled out a great ball and used it, hoping that the small bird was weak enough by now since it looked like another attack would be able to drop it completely.

Taillow was caught!

Pokemon: Taillow
Type: Normal/Flying
Ability: Guts
Gender: Male
Level: 15
Held Item: None
Stats—
HP: 41
Attack: 26
Def: 18
Sp. Attack: 18
Sp. Def: 18
Speed: 35

Moves:
Peck
Growl
Focus Energy
Quick Attack
Wing Attack

Do you want to give a nickname to Taillow?

((And you are now at six, so you keep this one on your person.))

After your successful catch, you continue your search.

About half an hour later, you hear a distant thundering. After a quick look around you notice a cloud of dust on the horizon.

----------------

Stacey:

((Let's see:

Roll = 2 – two trainers

...and we'll call it a 15% chance of finding what you want...

Roll = 26, 16—so close!))

You ask around town, but there don't seem to be many trainers to ask at the moment. Neither of the pair you find has what you're looking for, although one girl points you in the same directions as the Nurse ((Prai, Ceris)).

As you and the cloud of dust approach each other, you are able to make out more details. It's a lot larger than it first appears, and after a moment you realize it isn't one but several creatures as the curls of dust and rocky bodies resolve into a stampede of Rhyhorn. Other Pokemon are startled out of the grass in their path as they go thundering across the plains.
