Matt recalls Taillow!
Matt sends out Poli! ((Bubblebeam will be next round. Switching takes the round action, where sending out a new Pokemon independantly does not; this is for game balance. Basically, you get one action per Pokemon out.))

Wythir uses Shadow Sneak!
Wispafeyn C is hit for 10 damage!

Houndoom uses Bite!
Wispaferyn A is hit for 54 damage!
Wispaferyn A faints!

Swellow uses Wing Attack!
Wispaferyn C is hit for 60 damage!
It's super effective!

Wispaferyn C uses its held Chalhal Berry to restore 20 HP!

Wispaferyn B uses Helix Flame!

The Wispferyn charged at Skarmory, then whiffed harmlessly past by the barest of margins.

Whirlipede uses Poison Tail!

Whirlipede faints!
No effect!
No effect!
Cosmas is hit for 34 damage!
Cosmas faints!

The ground shook, and small bits of stone shaken loose by the attacks rained down from the mountains on either side. Several of the tremors raced harmlessly under Swellow and Skamory, both of whom largely ignored the effect except for curious looks downward. Mina's Houndoom and Matt's Wythir both managed to evade the first set but not the second, Houndoom taking heavier damage due to his Fire typing.

Mina stared at Jack's fallen Cosmas for a bewildered moment, wondering why he hadn't used his held Sitrus Berry...and then remembered that no; her Cosmas was the one holding a Sitrus Berry. But it would have saved him if he'd been holding one. She wondered if Jack had any, before forcing her thoughts back on the battle. She called out Oodramer to help take care of the Graveler and directed him to hit whichever Graveler was in the best shape, and told Houndoom to Rock Smash Graveler B.

The Grunts, meanwhile, battered but heartened by the losses they'd inflicted, called out their last Pokemon – a pair of Machoke.

Pyrophobe causes Wythir's Speed to rise!

((Taillow: 26/54 (recalled)

The Pokedex informs Matt that Will-O-Wisp is a Fire type move that can burn the target but does no direct damage, and Buck is a Normal-type damaging move that will hit more than once under certain circumstances.

Seeing that the grunts had been beaten, Mark was just about to order his pokemon to take them down (NON-LETHALLY) but... well, they were handled. So instead he was making his way to the radio when that message crackled over the speaker. "Uh... uhhhhhh..." thinking quickly, he would look at the grunt behind the surrendering one and then as surrender Mc. Giveuppants, and send out Lapras. Telling his water type, "Use sing on the two that are still trying to get away." Mark picks up the radio and walks over to the cooperative guard, handing him the communication device and telling him, "Look, report in, answer some questions, and then we'll... honestly probably let you go. W-We're not like your bosses."

As Mark spoke to the Bandra goons panic raced through me that they might alert the core that they've been compromised. After all, it sounded as though the main leaders of the group are far more terrifying then a group of strangers meddling in their affairs. Letting them go seemed like a bad idea though.

I walk over to the Bandra goons, crouch down with hands on my knees, and say before they respond to the radio call.

"We might need to borrow some supplies, information would be especially useful. You gave some of our friends quite a thrashing... Proceeding injured wouldn't be very wise on our part. And as you're still in our custody, to guarantee your safe departure, I'm sure you'll be willing to help our noble cause." I say smiling with eyes closing at the end.

The struggling Grunt topples over and start snoring as Lapras begins to sing. The remaining conscious Grunt goes really pale.

"We might need to borrow some supplies, information would be especially useful. You gave some of our friends quite a thrashing... Proceeding injured wouldn't be very wise on our part. And as you're still in our custody, to guarantee your safe departure, I'm sure you'll be willing to help our noble cause."

"H-here, take it!" The Grunt very awkwardly empties his pockets; the results aren't much to look at.

((800 PD

"Come in Patrol Four!" The voice on the other end of the radio is getting annoyed.

Surrender Grunt takes the radio with shaking hands and, with nervous looks at each of the group, responds. "Th-Th-This is Patrol Four."

"Status?" The voice at the other end sounds bored.

"F-f-fine, we're all fine here. H-h-how are you?"

"This isn't a social call Patrol Four. Pick up faster next time. Base Camp out."

The radio cuts with an ominous click and then there's a distinct smell of urine in the Grunt's vicinity.

Looking at the meager belongings of the grunt gave me an impression that perhaps they aren't very well paid. Never the less I retrieve the items and continue smiling while opening my eyes to look straight through the grunts soul, while saying ~

"Excellent acting job sir, now onto the information part. Perhaps you'd care to tell us about the area, where base camp is, any other patrols, guard posts, perhaps Bandra plans if you're aware of any, not that a lowly grunt like yourself would know of the important details. You likely just follow orders without the long thought out process as to 'why' you're going here or there, right? I mean, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, after all, the sooner you answer, the sooner you get to leave!"

I scan the area and add to the party.

"Perhaps a search of the other grunts might yield useful supplies. If need be I'll use my Super Potions to heal your pokemon, it was my blunder that alerted them to our presence after all. A careless, yet costly mistake. For that I apologize."

Not really comfortable taking anything from his opponents after recent events, Mark would let the others go through the grunt's things while finding something to distract him from the looting. Focused much like he was in pokemon battles on one thing, the young man's voice was much more confident sounding than normal. "Also, how many people are staffing it, do you have any prisoners, are reinforcements coming any time soon, and if there are any Bandra captains there, then how many are there, who are they, and what pokemon do they have?" It was a few questions at once, but Mark was so focused on being focused that he didn't try to pace himself.

‘Shipwreck’ apparently isn’t specific enough for the Pokedex to find anything useful; it seems there is more than one Pokemon species that fits the bill, and they aren’t related.

‘Spectral Dragon’ is a little better; the Pokedex notes that there is an evolutionary line that lives in this part of the region that is a possible match; ‘Zaenit’ and its evolution ‘Naedire’, both Spectral type Pokemon that prefer caves and dark areas.

“Its also a shame that they admit to having prisoners that died. I suggest perhaps finding their belongings, if any, to return to their families, if we come across them, to give them at least the knowledge of what happened to their loved ones."

Mina shrugs and nods, apparently not having any issue with this plan.

”As for the prisoners, suggestions? Do you all want to keep going forward? Or shall we take a tactical retreat, bring them with us, and turn them in to the authorities? Less obstacles next time, if there is one."

Mina looks considering – as far as is possible to tell as dark as it is. “I don’t think Bandra being plus or minus a few Grunts is going to affect our chances much. There’s more where they came from.” She frowns a little bit, but doesn’t say any more.

"There isn't much reason t-to take them in until we're done here..." Mark says, rubbing at his chin, the boy calming down a bit as evidenced by the small stutter that had slipped into his speech. "I think w-we could put all of them to s-sleep and tie them up, pick them up l-later? A-After scouting out the area and s-seeing what else is here."
