She tries to get to her feet but staggers and lands on her knees again. Poliwag edges away from her.

"Why yes, yes you did miss me! And what I want will be of no concern to you. Weepinbell, Poliwag, give this gal a little shut eye please, it appears she needs it."

Well, now once she's knocked out we'll just see what she has for goodies. Perhaps her ID can be used for police information to keep my own nose clean. Say I found it laying on the ground...on a random, unconscious stranger!

I look around to make certain nobody's around, other than the muffled voice of her companion further away, before searching her for valuables.

(OoC: I'm unsure if rolls will be required with as groggy as she is, but I'll do them anyway. Also, what should be done with their KO'ed pokemon? :/ Should I leave them with their "trainers" or are they potentially stolen pokemon that may desire being returned?)

((That's something you'll have to decide for yourself, seeing as there's no one out there to ask except the other Grunt. And you don't have the App to tell if the Pokeballs have been tampered with or not, so you have no way of checking that presently.))

The Bandra trainer doesn't even seem to fully comprehend what is happening as Poliwag's Hypnosis and Weepinbell's Sleep Powder both wash over her. She slumps to the ground unconscious without a word.

Searching her, you do in fact find some ID—a driver's license, identifying this as Kera Lynn Wheatley, aged 27, of Landsedge, Helnith—though no Pokedex. You also find an additional 700 PD ((you're now at 3,900 total)), an unused Glamour Ball, and a pocketbook filled with phone numbers and male-sounding names, some of which have little hearts and kissy faces next to them.

"Well, what a snazzy pokeball,"I say while looking it over. It appears to be the only one that's not occupied. As I pocket the cash and ball, I decide to take the rest of her identification with me as well as the book of phone numbers. Summoning Weepinbell, Ratman, and Poliwag back to their balls, I assert my bearings and start running as fast as I can back the way that I came, towards the north east. Smirks Now, it'd be downright hilarious if some random police officer showed up and found them all beat up like that. Though I wonder if any of the police are part of their little gang...The thought made me shudder so I kept on running. If there are, I wonder if those kids would know off hand. They seem to be pretty trusting, which makes them fairly trustworthy... That girl stuck her neck out pretty far to catch a fence without getting caught herself.... Yes, she'd be the one to ask. Hopefully I can make it back to town before they disappear.

Considering whether or not he wanted that offered coffee after watching this strange kid drink from it, Mark would decide that he was willing to risk catching the crazy, and he gets a mug to pour himself a drink into while watching the tick pokemon and listening to that explanation. While it was a bit confusing, and it took a little bit for his exhausted brain to piece together, Mark thought he had something down pat. "So... if I got you right, then you are saying that psychic types will be able to... bond to... and talk with their trainers once they get strong enough, a-and that Kirlia is about to reach that threshold. A-and when bonded... we'll share a few experiences, l-like physical pain... which could cause some feedback? Oh, and... uh... can I scan that pokemon of yours? New to me a-and stuff..."

Looking down at Kirlia, he would say, "And h-hey you... if you are able to do that, t-then go ahead and make the bond! I would love to... you know... know how y-your mind works just a little bit better!"

Jack stepped up to his pokemon. "Well done! Three on one, and you got them!" Jack took out his pokedex and scanned the pokemon to get more information on it. "Huh. Well I think we'll call you Lee Tailor from now on. Or just Lee for short. How does that sound? I guess we've had enough excitement for the moment. How about we go get you patched up?" Jack recalled Lee and headed back to get his other pokemon, and then to the Pokemon Center.

Matt:

You leave the Bandra trainers behind and make it back to Ceris around noon, after having to find the place you forded the river initially again. Upon arrival at the Pokemon Center, you  don't immediately see Mark or Mina but you do notice one of your fellows from the cruise ship waiting in line with you for the nurse.

----------------

Mark:

There's a noise like a very loud fan or a very quiet garbage disposal and the Baltoy goes spinning across the kitchen floor to crash into one of the lower cupboards. It looks briefly stunned before floating back over to the floor by its trainer. Kirlia shakes a tiny fist at it and looks annoyed.

"So... if I got you right, then you are saying that psychic types will be able to... bond to... and talk with their trainers once they get strong enough, a-and that Kirlia is about to reach that threshold. A-and when bonded... we'll share a few experiences, l-like physical pain... which could cause some feedback?"

"You have a little work to do before then," he nods. "And it might take her several hours. I'm Daze, by the way," he adds as an afterthought.

"Oh, and... uh... can I scan that pokemon of yours? New to me a-and stuff..."

By way of reply, Daze thrusts the wrist with the Pokemon hanging off of it very nearly in your face. The Pokemon makes a very cheerful "jeet!" noise as if to say hello; it has a single bright purple eye that is a perfect match for its trainer's hair, and a mottled gray body. The Pokedex identifies it as a Ghost/Spectral Pokemon called Wijjit, and spits out a little blurb about how they're known to bring bad luck to deserving targets. ((Note: eye color varies between individuals; it's generally a primary or secondary color.))

By this point Kirlia has stalked back over to you, still throwing glares at the Baltoy from time to time.

"And h-hey you... if you are able to do that, t-then go ahead and make the bond! I would love to... you know... know how y-your mind works just a little bit better!"

Kirlia looks a little surprised, but pleased, and gives you a thumbs-up.

Right about then you hear a loud crash outside the kitchen, followed by Nurse Joy shouting and a sound like screaming wind.

"You should look into that," Daze adds helpfully. He takes the coffee pot again and drinks a little more out of it, sounding not at all worried.

----------------

Jack:

You retrieve your Pokemon and head back to the Pokemon Center to get them healed. There's a bit of a line; in it you recognize one of your fellow travelers from the cruise ship prior to your arrival in Helnith waiting too.

Patting the Wijjit on the head by way of greeting, Mark would try to down his coffee while it was being scanned, and nod to Daze, showing that he understood what the other boy was saying. "Nice to meet you Daze... I'm Mark." Finishing the coffee, Mark would look at the Baltoy, and then down at Kirlia and he mumbled, "Um... I guess we'll just keep you away from tops in the future..." Which earned him a tongue stuck out at him from the snarky little psychic type.

When the odd sounds coming from outside began, however, Mark would yawn, set his empty cup down and, in true teenager fashion, he would ask, "W-why is it always meeeeeee?" Despite his complaining, Mark went to investigate things. Again. Because he is the hero that Gotham deserves.

You come to a scene like those you've begun to associate with Bandra attacks more than lone Pokemon. One of the doors has been broken right off its hinges and lies in three big pieces across the floor and against the opposite wall; shattered glass litters the floor around it. You can hear Nurse Joy trying to call calming words to the Pokemon now stalking over the wreckage from the room it just exited but it only acknowledges her with a hostile keening growl.

It looks like an avalanche in living form: a rocky, crag-like head with a crest of jutting protrusions and a stony neck, terminating in a back and shoulders with mountain-like plates that becomes a cascade of blue-white fur. And scars, scars everywhere: cracks in the stony plates on its back and legs, whiter streaks running through the snowy fur, and a vicious-looking mark right across its forehead, right between the featureless black eyes and running nearly to the jaw on one side.

It sees you barring the way and lets out another howling-wind scream, showing a mouth full of predatory fangs.

((BTW: You're fighting in a hallway, so you're limited to two Pokemon at a time for this fight.))

Standing in the way, Mark would think of his options, and look at the creature before him. This was probably an ice type, and maybe dark or something else. He couldn't take the chance of it being a dark type with Kirlia, and so he would recall the psychic type and send out both Corphish and Lapras, before calling to Nurse Joy, "Hey, do you know if this is owned by a trainer or not?" While he would be perfectly happy to catch a new pokemon... well, it would be awkward to do so if it was already owned.

To his pokemon, Mark would call out, "Okay... damage mitigation here guys! Try not to hit other things with your attacks. Lapras, use sing on that rampaging pokemon. Korphish, use Protect!" Hesitation was once again gone, the tension of the battle helping Mark focus through his exhaustion and speech impediment.

((Rolls.))

Nurse Joy manages to duck out of the room in time to answer you. "The Ranger brought her in last night, but she's—"

The Nurse holds out a Pokeball variant—the top half used to be mostly blue, probably a Great Ball—but even without a close look at it you can tell it was in bad shape BEFORE something with sharp fangs chomped down on it.

Nurse Joy ducks as the beast turns in her direction and makes that howling-wind sound again, filling the hall with glittering cold. The nurse drops what's left of the ball and retreats—it falls in two distinct halves and a couple of fragments even before impact—definitely broken beyond repair.

((She's wild.))

Corphish uses Protect!

Chevalin uses Powder Snow!
Lapras is hit for 4 damage!
It's not very effective...
Corphish is protecting herself!

Lapras uses Sing!

The creature's eyes droop and she stumbles, then falls to the floor asleep.

Chevalin's Shadow Gauge falls 2%!

The line creeps very slowly. One of the trainers in front of you complains, and you overhear the nurse explain that a Pokemon got out of one of the treatment rooms and made a bit of a mess earlier; as a result one of the Chansey is having broken glass picked out of her feet and clean-up is slowing things down further. Several other trainers take the news with some grumbling and fall back on small talk while they wait; mostly about the weather, sickness in the mountains, and a weird howling around one of the northern settlements. One boy is taking the opportunity to show off some of the training equipment he's using; bragging loudly that he won it by running Trainer Hill.

Random pokemon bursting out and causing a scene in the pokecenter? Something must be wrong with it.... Bet it's been shadowed.
As I push my way to the front of the throng, I eventually see three pokemon battling in a corridor, or at least they would be battling if one of them wasn't fast asleep.
"Nurse Joy is there anything I can do to help speed things along perhaps?"

Well now, at least that attack really hadn't hurt... though, Lapras probably wouldn't mind a little bit of healing. So, the next commands were, "Alright guys, well done! Now then, Lapras, use water pulse on that pokemon. Corphish, use bubble on both Lapras and this new critter! We're going to try and capture this one, so try not to hit it too hard once we get her... er... him? No, pretty sure she's a her. Well regardless, whenever we get this pokemon low enough to try catching!"

A moment of hesitation happens as Mark looks at the results of that move... but seeing how effective it was over-all, he would decide it was worth the risk to attack again. "Alright guys, let's keep it up. Lapras, use Water Pulse again! Hopefully we can confuse her before she wakes up. Corphish, use Bubble Beam!" His pokemon shouldn't be too hurt by this.
