Mark bit back a curse before considering. Then he smirked. "Alright, This is fine. Lapras, attack again. Hit Clefairy." The wooper most likely was both their strongest and their fastest pokemon out right now, but ice shard allowed Lapras to get in the first shot. And since wooper was a ground-water pokemon, it didn't have a type advantage over Lapras, and ice shard would do its full damage. So as long as he could take down his opponent's partner to ensure that they had no fighting type moves...

Mina frowned; Oodramer had Facade, but his physical strength was pitiful by Pokemon standards. And both the Wooper and the Clefairy were faster...
"Yell at me if this messes you up, Mark. Oodramer return! Go, Houndoom!"
A really, really bad idea to put a Fire type against a Water type, but they were trying to work on their inter-party coordination. Also, she didn't have a lot of better options: Pikachu would be almost useless against the Wooper, she'd forgotten to swap Magikarp back for Sandshrew in Rieva, and Natu's offensive capabilities were limited. ((Nightshade on Normal type == no.  )) That left Pidgey and Houndoom, and Houndoom had had some practice coordinating with Mark's Pokemon. (Mina was also banking on the fact that Houndoom was an evolved form; he hit harder than Pidgey, and he'd survived an attack from Pellana's Hitmonlee—hopefully he could survive a Water Gun too.) He also had Rock Smash, where Pidgey had no super-effective moves to speak of. Nevertheless, she was going to feel really stupid if this backfired.

Mina let out a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding; it looked like these two had some practice together themselves, or else they were good improvisers. She'd have to go over the match afterwards to see if there was anything about their tactics she and Mark could use. But for now, time to concentrate on the fight.
"Which one do you want, Mark?" she asked. The girl with the scarf had committed herself to two Fighting-weak Normal types, but Mina wouldn't object at all to dumping firepower on the Wooper before it could attack her dog.

"Alright!" Mark called out, then he mumbled over to Mina, "I'll hit the wooper this time, you take out that teddybear. He seems to be a bit fragile." Then he gave his command, "Lapras, let's get that wooper now." Since Wooper was a water/ ground type, ice shard should have its base effect against it.

Brona left the store with a goodbye, and just as he rounded the corner outside he tossed away the pokeball. I need a pokeball. he thought and checked his pockets. Damn, only 250PD, I need 50 more.
He then headed for the pokecenter, hoping nurse Joy would be very nice and lend him 50PD.

He retrieved both pokeballs from his pocket and sent out both geodude and mankey, then smiled at them. "What about an hour training-session so that you can show me the moves you know?" he suggested.

"Another short rest..." Stacey says to herself, as she checks the time. "Well, sorry you didn't find your Dive. Was nice spending time with you all. I need to get some rest though. I have an early morning to look forward to. Bye!"
Unless stopped by anyone, she heads to the center, exchanges Goldeen for Luxio, and then heads for bed. She plans on awakening around 4:30, to give her time to get ready, and get some food to take with her, on her way.
Stacey's alarm goes off at the set time. Though, it takes her 5 more minutes to respond to it. Not a big deal however, as she still has enough time to get cleaned up, dressed,(Green skirt, Yellow shirt, and the White with Cyan bow Lyra hat) and grab some food. She runs out the door, and back to the path.
