“Yes, bring him down! He’s dangerous right now!” Mina calls across the battlefield. Technically, they normally wanted to draw the fight out as long as possible to clear more Shadowing, but they didn’t need to do that with Matt and his Time Flute on hand – Mina makes a note to explain all that, after the situation is back in hand.

Blinks "Well that... sucked. Alright, hang on I'm coming!" I yell as I start running after everyone else. Breathing quite heavily, I arrive right as Sengar is bee-lining towards the newcomer.
Crap, that's not good! I think to myself before yelling at the shadowed pokemon as I step up next to Mina and the Pinklady.
"Umbreon listen to this awesome song!" As I again, try to play the flute in hopes of snapping it out of it's condition.

"Alright! Leapsy, keep going for that Sleep Powder! It's time to attack! Whirlywhirly, use your Bug Bite, Bigbug, make sure you're on the opposite side from him - "
She points at Matt. Wouldn't want to accidentally blow him farther apart from the Umbreon, seems like that music is important here...
"- and get the Umbreon with a Gust!"

Everyone:
Sengar catches the first few notes of flutesong and is briefly captivated – and then a fast-moving bird and a giant spikey caterpillar both slam into him and he’s KO’d. The Shadowing fades from his hide as the song progress anyway, though Mark notices he still looks a little different than he did pre-Shadowing – shaggier, wilder, muscles arranged ever-so-slightly differently, not enough to be obvious to someone who hadn’t seen him before but enough that his trainer notices. The group’s Pokédexs give an update:

((Let's drop Endure for Howl. He's immune to sleep now so that won't be interrupted, and as long as Sengar doesn't get one-shot, he should be able to heal from anything using Moonlight anyway.  ))
Well, if he hadn't been raging, Mark would have felt disappointed about the use of the flute, because Sengar had been so close to just being de-shadowed via hard work and cologne. However, the dark type being cured anyway wasn't terrible, and Mark takes off the tag to give back to Matt, recalls the umbreon and says, "Well, it didn't exactly go as I'd planned, but... thanks for the help, guys." Checking his pokedex to see just how much stronger his dark type had gotten, Mark recalls Sengar again and looks over at Mina. "Well. Looks like he can't be put to sleep at all anymore, and he still gets a lot out of using Moonlight..." Yeah, he was glad to get use of his dark type back, even if he'd probably need to treat Sengar nicely for a bit to rebuild trust.
Thanking his Chevalin for the help and recalling her, but keeping Tattersail out for the moment, Mark then asked the group, "So, seems like we're in a somewhat secluded spot. Good place to catch everyone up and maybe get a bit of coordinated training in, right Mina?"

“Yeah, that’s probably wise,” Mina agreed. She waved Pidgey over to land on her shoulder before addressing everyone.
“Guys, I did some light spying and sabotage up in Keida while Hannah - Bandra Officer Hannah” she clarified, as it occurred to her Pinklady probably wouldn’t know who that was “was out of the town. I know for fact that they’re mass producing Poffin there, I know they’re at least sorting and storing loads of Berries to do it and I suspect they’re growing those Berries on site in the Keida Spa. Mark and I talked and we agree that Bandra is probably using those Poffin to boost the power of their rank-and-file Grunts, at minimum, because we’ve seen Grunt Pokémon with Poffin boosts during some of our previous fights.
They seemed to also be breeding Pokémon at the Daycare facility there, but I didn’t get a good look at anything but the yard before I had to get out.”
Mina thought she’d covered everything relevant at least in a broad sense, so she paused to see if anyone had any questions.

Well all this information just makes a bunch of questions that wouldn't have answers... Or maybe...
"If they're breeding pokemon at a rapid rate, would they be looking to have certain moves on pokemon to cause them to fight more efficiently? Or could they be stat hunting? Or looking for certain abilities?" I stopped rambling wondering if I was making any sense.
Back in my TR days we'd shoot for ways to make any of our steroids to last indefinitely. I wracked my brain trying to think like a criminal again, what could Bandra possibly be doing? Is there a way we can stop their poffin or breeding schemes? It would be a horrible waste of resources to set the already rare, berry trees on fire. Though it would probably be better than letting Bandra keep them. It's not like we want tougher enemies to fight. Would it be possible to use the berries grown in this region as vitamins like Iron, Protein, etc.
Shaking my head I go back to listening to the group discussion.

Mark says, adding, "Annnnd kinda like the poffins and berries, if we can disrupt them, we can also take advantage of the program that Bandra was putting together by hatching the eggs ourselves."

“The last time we tried a direct assault on Keida, it turned out there was a Bandra Officer there and she wiped the floor with not only us but a good chunk of the Starlight Squad too. And after the light sabotage I mentioned she’s probably back to guarding it. So I’m going to recommend we don’t try another direct assault, at least not soon. Mark suggested we get Poffin boosts for our Pokémon too, which isn’t a bad idea but that isn’t going to stop Bandra making their own so we can’t just do that.”

"Scouting around would be a good idea, especially if Bandra has some secondary farms or breeding centers that they aren't defending as well that we can disrupt. We've hit them kinda hard the last few days, and took down a good number of grunts... I have to think that they can't keep enough people around at every outpost to keep us out." Especially not if Bandra kept wanting to go on the offensive like they had been. Pulling grunts off the front line in order to take over towns that they'd need to garrison with even more grunts had to be stretching them thin. "But we also need to keep training together and getting our pokemon used to working with, and obeying, each other's orders in the event that... well, one of us goes down in the middle of battle. Also, training our pokemon to eliminate type disadvantages like Mina and I are doing with her Houndoom and my Skarmory will give us an edge in the tougher fights we're almost certainly going to be running into."

Mina checked the map. “I don’t see any breeders marked—” at all, and that included the one she knew was in Hillsbreak, because that was where Spencer was “—but it looks like there’s another Contest Hall in Quibir.” There were a few others, but Mina was fairly sure those were still in friendly territory.

Every encounter with Bandra that I've had, they've always had at least one partner." I say directed at Pinklady before turning to the others, "Have either of you gone to the southern parts of the country? Around Plainshaven, Landsedge, or Shadowbeach? What would you think of searching those areas?"

When the situation is dangerous we try sticking together... but well, I'm kinda pretty easy to recognize," Mark opens the solar panels on his prosthetic arm to give it a bit of charging and he waves it at pinklady. "Since the point was to sneak in without being noticed to see what was actually going on, it made sense for me to stay behind. But if we're going to Quibir to see if Bandra has a farming operation there... Unless they're indoors, berry farms would be easy to spot from outside of town and I have a pair of binoculars to help with confirmation." So he was coming along. "Also, Mina, we should probably make sure everyone's maps are up to date on territory under Bandra control."
Looking at Matt, Mark taps his chin and says, "Well... I mean, on my first trip here we stopped there for a second for pancakes, buuut that wasn't for very long and I don't think it counts? Probably changed a bunch thanks to current events too."

“No, I haven’t been much farther south than Ceris. Bandra controls most of that area.”

“Right.” Mina started hitting buttons on the map interface to see what she could do with it while she spoke. “Most of the area south and west of Ceris is Bandra controlled. We just freed the Shrine of Light, Landsedge and Prai are still in friendly hands last I heard, and Dream -” Mina again remembered they had a newbie in the group and elaborated “- he’s one of the surviving Elite Four - freed Tidepath recently. Quibir, Seapoint, and everything in that area is Bandra controlled. So is Ternai.” Mina’s expression shadowed briefly. “Hillsbreak is friendly, more or less, and everything east of it is in friendly hands too.”

"Woah, cool..." Pinklady quietly said as Mark showed off his arm. In all the excitement of meeting the group, asking about it had been pushed to the back of her mind.
She looked at her own map and did her best to recall which place was named what, from when she got updated on the situation by Fate.
"So, this area and this area this area are Bandra... right?" She traced circles on her map around the areas near Quibar, the Frostreach Mountains, and Keida. "If so, they seem kinda split in half... how quickly can they send reinforcements between the two halves?"

“I’m not completely sure, but they have helicopters, so we’re talking hours, maybe a day at the most. They probably aren’t moving huge numbers of their forces that way though,” she added as it occurred to Mina that those things were loud, and she felt like someone would have mentioned helicopters streaking back and forth by now if that’s what Bandra was doing. Plus they couldn’t have an unlimited number of the things just lying around…
