What do you prefer: Small or large maps?

...what maps do u like small / large and why ???...

I prefer small and poor maps because i like fast games (always try to finish opponents as fastest as i can...maybe cause i'm playin' dungeon). Never liked large or XL maps in past HoMM or other strategy games (except Disciples, maybe...)

fast & furious

Small games are most often unbalanced and giving the advantage to rushing factions - d'uh. Actually it's not so much about the map size but when you can meet the opponent the earliest, for instance although let's fight has strong neutrals you can't attack the opponent before week 4 but heritage of Deleb you can even enter their region week 1(but normally week 2) with dungeon at least.

Large maps for me, exploration and good fights.

I used to play XL maps, now I play L maps with the 8 towns represented and a well guarded neutral zone which has to be crossed to get to another faction's territory.

In Homm size matters!

Small maps for me with preferably random towns. They can be unbalanced but it doesn't mean they are not fun. And score evens itself out after few games

Small maps that have really tough creatures blocking the path so those worthless talentless rushers have to wait like everyone else .

Be sure that with only 3 Cerberus you can beat 900 Arch Devils (if I remember correctly) with disgraceful Puppet Master abuses, so no this isn't an option, unfortunately.

Generally smaller maps, but large maps are also fun, can get annoying though.

i think the most balanced are the maps, in which the final battle can occur in 4th, or 5th week
in small maps the rushers win and in large maps - the late game factions
so the medium map for me

I'm creeping my side of the map (as academy) and it's pre-midgame and suddenly this ugly elven hero comes galloping into my territory with an unimaginable number of arcane archers, dryads, treants and pristine unicorns(). Needless to say I pounded them into the ground (I think I saved the replay).

I don't find it funny to rush somebody and to be rushed of course XD, that's why I choose XLL maps, but with few players becasue I'm also very impatient...
