Adorable and heart-warming.

Gave up on Clannad Afterstory at about episode 10, couldn't bear the boredom anymore. SAVED!
Watched the recent OVA for Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Zoku, maybe an indicator for a potential season 3.
Otherwise nothing much.

EDIT: Just watched Boku no Pico. For real. All 3 episodes.
I am done.

That's a tough one. I did watch the first one for a bit, and, well, it is quite uncomfortable.

Oh, and yeah, since Sun and Moon has started, the manga arc has started, too.

I got through with Clannad Afterstory. Absolutely worth! The slow build up, the sometimes silly and uneventful episodes, they all paid off in the very end. I cried manly tears more than once as the season drew near to a close, and that is still an understatement to how much of an emotional ride it was. I think my feelings never connected so much with an anime before, I even remembered an emotion I had long since forgotten - the joy of being picked up by your parents from kindergarten. But now it's finished, a very good title which I had put on hold for so long, too long. I would definitely recommend it.

And I give glory and thanks to my God above for making me able to experience such amazing emotions. Glory and thanks!

Ye you're welcome, also I found the end to afterstory incredibly dissatisfying, more like a copout than anything, everything is the bottom of hell then with a flick of a wand it's allright again, so either none of those bad things happened, or they happened and are now inconsequential, wtf?! They're friggin sadists.... (Thus I consider worst endings I've ever experienced just cause I invested so heavily emotionally, even worse than Gantz after 3 years of readin and the ending is THAT, after all the crap that happened that's how you choose to end it?! A ****ing sunset with everyone happy?!).

Shingeki no Kyojin ep 1 spoiler:

Let me put it differently, it's as if Eren and the titan that ate his mum suddenly held hands and frolicked around cheerful wall dwellers as they bussied themselves with rebuilding, internally it sends of super wtf flares and feels awkward as all hell. Do I wish that those horrible things didnt happen? Ofc, BUT THEY DID HAPPEN, I experienced it, trying to erase all that is all kinds of wrong.

Spoiler:
Nagisa bit the dust and so did the kid after finally bonding with the Dad, that's what I want to see, the pit of hell before you finally bite the bullet yourself, after all that pain of agony finally some respite on his face just before he pulls the trigger. Perfect and tragic ending, a few thousand times better than the one we got.

I 100% agree with you on the ending, it could've been done so much better to achieve similar results but without leaving that annoying feeling of cop-out. I like miracles and the supernatural, but not when it's gratuitous and renders everything meaningless or inconsequential. With that said, I would've disliked another ending a la Fate: Stay Night or Ef: A Tale of Melodies, that snow takes a lot of time to recover from, in my case - months. I like tragedies, I consider them very impactful sentimentally, but they eat at me and I can't stand it. I'd rather have happy endings of the same caliber.

I wanted to watch some romantic / school anime preferably with some more mature scenes than just silly situations and girls being bashful. Ended up watching Keijo instead, or what aired of it anyway -.- Which btw, it's not that bad of an anime all things considered, the director did a great job compensating the unconvincing and more of an excuse of a scenario (for ecchi) with quality creative direction.

But man, wouldn't I rather enjoy something like Koe no Katachi right about now. It's taking WAY too long for it to get outside of Japan, I can't find it anywhere. Here's the trailer if you guys are unaware of it.

EDIT:
Just gave Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo a try and I found it enjoyable. It's good for what it tries to achieve, which is not exactly anything spectacular. More on the light hearted side with a slight touch of drama. Anime like these serve for a good break from heavy stuff I guess.

EDIT:
Byousoku 5 Centimeter was good but not great, far from great actually. I wish the anime put more emotional emphasis on what it was trying to convey. It's unfortunate that the feeling I'm left with is a sad tranquility. I wish it ended differently and more meaningfully. I wish it explored it's potential more. I'm wishing a lot at this point, but I guess that only means that the anime left something to be desired. Still, I could enjoy it for its artistic approach.

EDIT:
Just finished JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012). Fantastic anime! Words cannot describe. Just go watch it, it's snowing great!
These two comments from the comment section made my day, nothing short of accurate too!

Idk I found byousoku 5 centimeter to be a really well done animation, but as much as I'd love to I can't get into anime that conveys deep messages without getting into it. I mean I may be a goofball but I had to look up to find what the anime was about afterward cause it left me so empty, essentially it boils down to one person can move on while another can't and is still stuck, but it doesn't take it any further. Maybe you have to be Japanese in order to be able to fully relate and understand the themes of the anime, the way I understand is that most men and women rarely date and they have one of the highest amount of bachelor's per capita in the world, that might have some bearing on it (how men might view relationships more importantly/more invested thus?). But it's not like the guy can't move on, he even has a potential love interest but simply still can't due to his emotional breakdown from his first relationship.

Oooh sounds interesting, doing a module on security with terrorism being a large part of it, so anything that alludes to how ordinary people percieve security threats (or how media constructs and frames a particular attack) is really helpful, does it have any of that?

Well it shows how the police deals with terrorist cells, how the media is used, how the terrorists behave and the kind of motives they may have. And a bit of conspiration theory (just a bit) I find it well written. So I think it might help you indeed.

Gave Oneechan ga Kita a try, courtesy of random anime feature on Kissanime. Eh, quick and mild entertainment I guess. Would've seen it as a huge waste of time if the episodes were the standard 24 minutes instead of only 3, but I think it's fine like this. There's no major plot or emotion to extract, just siscon and brocon stuff.

Currently watching Drifters, idk what it is but it just gets me and I ****ing love it.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders was an entertaining season, but not as good as the first one in my opinion. Still amazingly over the top and fun to watch. That snowing Polnareff got me laughing so many times, what a lovable idiot he was
It does make me wonder though how things continue as there was no conclusion their journey, save for the fact that they finally got at their destination (lol). I'll probably watch some more of it eventually and see how things turn out.

On a different note, I'm impressed with the latest developments in the SNK manga, it seems that there's more to the titans than what meets the eye, although it does imply a couple of unfortunate things for the main protagonists. All this gets me excited even more for the new anime season planned for 2017, hope they make it a good one.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders 2nd Season was overall better than the previous one! Not exactly surprising, but still, I didn't quite expect so many compelling and well-executed villains. No more crybabies screwing around (although it had plenty of those too), some of them were actually great! I really enjoyed it, more so as it neared the end. That Abdul, Iggy and Polnareff vs. Vanilla Ice was probably the most emotionally heavy battle, I was really impressed. And the fights with Dio was intense! I didn't correctly predict his Stand, but what he had was good enough.

I'll probably search for a break from all the JoJo action, but will more than likely return to resume the latest seasons.

EDIT:
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, a great 2003 anime. Like School Days, but better. So much better. The romance is powerful and mature, something I've been craving for for a long time now. The resolution was everything I could hope for, although a bit surprising that the anime actually delivered, but satisfying nonetheless. Apart from the occasional anime logic and predictable moments, it was amazing. I wish more mature romances would air nowadays.

EDIT:
Just finished Oku-sama ga Seito Kaichou! and also the second season (last episode airs tomorrow). Not bad, pretty good R+ ecchi actually. Not to be taken seriously beyond that point though. I guess enjoying anime also depends on your mood and when you watch it. This one made for a good break.

5 Centimeters Per Second is one breathtakingly beautiful film. Visually stunning and emotional it gives a realistic view of the struggles many face against: time, space, people, and love.

It's also more subtle in its message, too used to some animes ramming it down a generic one down your throat, here it gives a probable scenario and plays it out allowing to viewer to form their own interpretation. Both from a visual standpoint (art animation etc) and storytelling it was a work of art, gold standard for how to do it right.

Also KEIJOOOO! Can't believe Stevie hasn't jumped on this yet.
