Owarimonogatari was great. I now remember, this feeling is what I've been missing from the series, the same feeling I felt all the way up to Monogatari Second Season.

It had me thinking about rewatching chronologically. Who knows.

Watched the 3 Kizumonogatari movies and man were they fantastic.

And to close things off, Owarimonogatari 2nd Season, which was ****ing amazing.

Mission accomplished I don't remember tsuki being as good as the rest but it was a stepping stone. The ones I rather disliked were hana(Kanbaru too serious, she works better as support ) and koyomi(lots of bs explanations). Ougi was somewhat interesting if unlikable, loved Shinobu though. The animation/art improvement in kizu was a pleasant surprise and owari second part was totally worth it, after tsuki the series keeps delivering.

Somehow I couldn't ever get into the -gatari series. I just can't get over this, universally acclaimed, style of Shaft as it is not to my liking...

Mob 100 II is getting better and better with each episode. First the "Reigen" mini-arc and now the "house" cliffhanger...

Slime got a bit better after the Karybdis arc. The "Milim as deus ex machina" motives were getting ridiculous. A nice change of pace with the teacher arc.

I'm enjoying Domestic no Kanojo. Been some time since I've seen a "serious" (as in "all-in") romance anime. It might be the fact I usually aren't watching that many of them, but I think the producers are generally good at showing how the emotional/romantic instability of its characters works...

And finally Dororo is at times a miss with the pacing, but generally it's a very good, raw and classical drama action anime. They don't make many of those nowadays... I think Golden Kamui is the closest from the recent ones.

You’ll have to get used to that with slime. There will be plenty of DEM characters/events from this point on, the series goes super stupid. This would be a fine point to drop it if you don’t want to risk all the idiocy coming your way.

Nah, it's not long until the series finishes. Probably the Spirit Queen arc will be the last. Maybe the'll fit in the Beast Kingdom visit arc (is arc even a good wording for a few chapters?). Unless they continue with another season ofc, I guess the series is pretty popular worldwide.

It's main problem is that although full of cliches, the base was pretty solid, especially the likable characters, but it seems the author simply run out of ideas part-way, and now it's simply half-ass writing...

At this point when it comes to Isekai Shield Hero has more of my attention...

Give it a few more final arc seasons.

Started Boruto and planning to follow. Couldn't resist scratching that itch after all. About 100 episodes currently so there's a lot to watch, should keep me busy for a while. Thus far it was averagely pleasant, need more than 10 episodes to see where it goes.

EDIT: Having come as far as 40 episodes, I really have to say, while Boruto is enjoyable to a certain extent... Naruto was tremendously better. It's hard to not draw the comparison, the show is practically begging for it. With Naruto, everything that happened put you on a knife's edge. The academy, the exams in their full length, the traumatic stories of their lives, the real threat of Orochimaru, villages being at each other's throat, actually meaningful missions (Zabuza immediately comes to mind), Akatsuki, tailed beasts. There was that sense of growth, danger, anxiety, overcoming obstacles which you actively felt in what was happening. Right now there's a vague idea of otherworldly beings like Kaguya coming to threaten all life and everything is on fast forward to that end. It's just hard to empathize with the characters or draw out any feelings for them. In a word, shallow.  All too bad, I had some expectations and I've been let down.

EDIT:

If you are looking for something interesting, check out The Promised Neverland.  It is anew series about children trying to escape an orphanage from demon-sponsored captors.  Or something like that.

Rereading page 100. This just recently got a tv series and I kinda want to watch it. Is the manga still good, Omega?

Watching Yona of the dawn and it's very likable. It reminds me of Arslan senki which is one of my favourites. Standard story of young princess on the run being joined by powerful individuals but done fairly well, with a cast you can sympathize with. Including the antagonist of course.

Great series but stick with the manga since it is still going on and the anime had one season.

So I've been reading the manga adaption of Rain and found out the author has just died.  I'm not too optimistic (even more-so than normal) about the series getting a proper end now.

Btw does anyone here heard about Beastars? Supposedly it's very good (won a couple of prizes) and is getting an anime now. To put it shortly it's Zootopia with a dark (& manga) spin. A society of antropomorphic Carvivores & Herbivores living in relative harmony, while the first ones need to sometimes fight their urge for killing the latter (and sometimes they do). It has pretty mature content and a lot of depth.

Yes, it's a Furry dream come true!

Yeah, the word "furry" or anthromorph works like a repelant for many people. Then again, there are quite a few good stories with antromorphs out there: Blacksad, Usagi Yojimbo, Maus etc...

Had a crawing to watch FMA Brotherhood again, rediscover why it's so critically acclaimed. Boy, was it good. Nothing short of amazing. It was one of the best rides that anime has ever given me. Intense, emotional, mysterious, action packed, meaningful stories, it had it all. Plenty of characters to like as well, too many to enumerate. I wish we had more anime like that nowadays, but I guess the special ingredients are too hard to find and difficult to mix.

Yeah, like, I thought the original FMA was good. But then I saw Brotherhood and was in awe. The "resurrection" scene, Nina all over again etc. And the MUSIC. Original had catchy tunes but Uso or Ray of Light (actually all of them) were so good. Perfect series. One of the best anime can offer.

Fully agree on the music. Not too impressed by the OPs and EDs in general, but the entire FMA Brotherhood OST is a masterpiece. I've grown especially fond of Lullaby of Resembool, Trisha's Lullaby, One is All, All is One, Happiness ~ Requiem from 'The Blind Alchemist', Requiem for the Brigadier General, Desolation, The Fullmetal Alchemist, they all pull at my heart strings in just the right way. (I'll give a special mention to Tsuisou since it seems to be from the first FMA(?), still an incredibly fantastic piece)
It's a terrible day for rain - We just wanted to see mom's smile again - Winry, your hands weren't made for killing. They were made to bring life - all memorable quotes on that inspiring music. It had grown on me before I even knew it.

FMA aside, I managed to watch Kaguya-sama: Love is War which was thoroughly entertaining. Comedy was so good it had me thinking I should've saved some moments and post them here. I haven't laughed so much since Prison School. Definitely hoping for a second season as the (lack of) conclusion to the plot and manga chapters seem to suggest.

Oh, Zoku Owarimonogatari is getting web released by the way. I hope you all knew that already, it's at ep. 4.

EDIT: Gave High Score Girl a try as I intended to do for a long time now. It was great, without a doubt a unique anime in both style and content. Games I actually played as a kid being featured for real, without any legal rights substitute. Awesome. Characters and story that are both believable, funny and relatable (if you're a gamer). Also, whoever typeset the subs was a ****ing genius, both informative and filled with a good sense of humor. Overall made me appreciate a lot of things I had before the PC era. Seeing games I forgot I even played, makes me a bit nostalgic. And best of all, the anime's getting a second season! Couldn't be happier. Would recommend watching this one of a kind anime wholeheartedly.

Some links to subs I found funny (definitely not all of them): link 1, link 2, link 3, link 4, link 5.

Also:

I've never felt anger of such magnitude towards an anime character before. From that point of view, she's well made for her role, haven't found an equivalent yet. I'd be lying to say I wouldn't want to see her set ablaze for all she did to the shield hero. I would probably not be satisfied with anything else at this point. If there is any reconciliation, it has to be after she's paid in gruesome pain.

EDIT: Got around watching Mob Psycho II. It was actually incredibly entertaining! The action scenes blew my mind, they went all out with the animations. Mob was showing signs of maturity, good character development. Reigen's hidden psychic powers were absolutely terrifying, to have been in so many life-threatening situations - so many deadly encounters - and still live to tell the tale! I am convinced the guy couldn't die no matter what. I guess that's Mob's master for you ().
Anyway, the ending felt a bit lacking, not in humor (damn veggies) or action, just in some sort of conclusion. So what was Mob's hidden form all about? What happened to his life after that episode with the OP dude? Did he ever get with that girl he liked? Was pretty convinced those questions would get further unraveled in a 3rd season, just to find out the manga finished in 2017 and there's no material for that. Maybe for some OVA's, but that's it. Eh, too bad. Though for what it's worth, that won't take anything away from the great ride the show was.
Two moments I found memorable: people laughing at the end of the world, club president saves Mob, manly af. Though there were many more. Great series, 9/10.

EDIT: Had a blast with Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, slice of life with some great comedy. My sides will never feel the same. Most memorable scenes were those with literary girl, reaching epitome in episode 7. I laughed so hard, I had to stop the video to recover, then watch it again. School council was hilarious. The subtitles, hilarious. Even the staff and and characters breaking the 4th wall, hilarious. Never skipped the ED. Tons of references (Gintama mostly). They had me fooled up until the end. So glad I found this hidden gem. I know exactly what I want to watch next.
Oh, these won't go to waste: danshi 1, danshi 2, danshi 3, danshi 4, danshi 5.
