There are some interesting things to look forward to:

New Makoto Shinkai movie (Tenki no Ko: Weathering With You): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzKcrJ77wBY&feature=youtu.be

Children of the Sea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVGbgBy_yo4&feature=youtu.be

Blackfox TV Anime (probably your standard action fare, but I dig the main chara design): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL4rsnhlu6M

And finally a fantasy anime from the creator of Seirei no Moribito (Shika no Ou):

EDIT: Cool video on Isekai genre: clicky.

Caught up with Zoku Owarimonogatari. It has a beautiful and emotional ending that thankfully outshines the rest of its episodes. Could have been overall smoother since the dialogues can get tiresome but it's worth watching at any rate. It also left me with the impression that there is more to it than I grasped in one viewing which is a bonus.

I also watched 91 days which was pretty satisfying. Revenge gangster story in the prohibition era, threats from all sides and lack of plot armour. I wish it had left more room for character development but it is a fine story with some unexpected twists.

Mob Psycho s2 was fun. More character development plus more trippy scenes of total destruction.

Some of my personal classics, no matter how many times I rewatch them years later I always find something new that kindles something fresh in me, hard to explain it's as if there's so many layers going on that it inspires me even years later. By all means it's not the list just a few I've been rewatching; Steins Gate, Spice and Wolf, Future Diary, 'Yahari Ore Seishun Love Comed'y and now Zetsuen no Tempest.

I found myself in the same mood. For the past few weeks I rewatched Berserk, Prison School and Attack on Titan for the same reasons. Maybe Made in Abyss comes later. All of them top quality anime in their own respect. Steins Gate is great, but I watched it way too many times already.

If I'm in the mood, I prefer to watch some key scenes from anime I like instead of rewatching the whole series. Gotta focus on new ones, there's plenty of those...

I watched youjo senki and it is awesome. War scenes are cool but the real reason to watch is Tanya. She is not a.. good person and watching her handle stuff is delightful. I also didn't know this was an isekai, the story doesn't need it to work but I'd say it's for the better. Waiting for season 2.

I disagree. Tanya is a prime example of a good person. Take a neutral look on her actions and demeanour. She takes very good care of her subordinates and wants nothing but a laid back life far from the war. Doesn't want to gain excess glory but still does her duty to the utmost perfection even when faced with adversities. Does everything in her power to end the war as fast and neatly as possible, thus with as little unnecessary death and suffering as possible. Even taking time to warn and care for civilians while doing so.

How is that not a good person?

I wouldn't call her a good person, bad not entiry bad. She's simply calculating. And the whole Isekai motive is a plot device to explain her maturity, morality and knowledge in such a young age.

There was a full feature movie also, I need to check it out.

Attack on Titan is so much better in Japanese. Gave the English dub a try and while it wasn't at all bad, it was just not as good. So many undertones and points comming across better in Japanese. They took too much liberty in Eng and sometimes went off script. Still good quality, the anime makes it so. Epic action, epic music, a fantastic masterpiece.

Glad attack on titan has a badass intro again, that last one was too colourful and happy. And finally, the story is getting somewhere.

Caught up with JoJo and Shield Hero. The Fiotoria moments were okay, apart from her fawning over Naofumi because flashbacks. Now this current ****show with the pope is ridiculous, it's too slow and seems dimwitted to the core. Can they act less dramatic and more on their toes, cautious and with some semblance of intelligence? When I compare this with how Attack on Titan does things, it's light years apart.

Speaking of which, I still have to try the new AoT season, I wonder if they improved over the last one. Also One Punch Man. For some reason I wanted to empty my mind with some ecchi again and tried Why the hell are you here, teacher!? instead. I very much look forward to the uncensored version for research purposes. Also the comment section is comedy gold, people come up with so many hilarious things to say.

AoT is good and opm is not bad either. But the novelty is gone now that I've read the manga and this arc is a little hit or miss.

Yeah it's executed poorly, they are just standing there waiting for the Pope to laser them. And Naofumi "message" to the Heroes about their shortcomings was the weakest part of the whole episode.

AoT also has it's shortcomings. I know it's the series style, but I'm starting to get irritated with their "dramatic faces" each time they talk with their eyes almost gouging out and screaming. And the pacing is very slow.

I managed to rewatch AoT 3rd season's first part in preparation, well worth it. It was at least a step up from the previous one. And then the second part started off strong, I already think the season's going to be good until the end. For now only 3 episodes, had the impression there was more.

I mean, OPM is already at 6, and I caught up with them as well. It seems there are a lot of people complaining about the new studio and their animation. I couldn't really put my finger on it, though I guess it was a slight downgrade. However, the quality is still there so I'm not bothered. I'm actually excited for a lot of stuff they have yet to show, the tournament in particular and also Garo scenes.

Yeah and this arc is when OPM starts to really derail from what it's about imo by focusing and all those other Heroes from S Class + Garo. But I guess it's a problem with any series that has a simple premise: it starts to create threads that depart from the main plotline which is Saitamas OP-ness and boredom.

I don't mind seeing new characters but they are introduced en masse which is a little annoying. Still, getting less Saitama per episode is better than consecutive weekly manga updates without Saitama.

Well, most character fights are simply boring and overextended: Metal Bat or Flashy Flash vs monsters for instance. The only cool "filler" fight was Zombieman vs Vampire monster.

Well, you call it derailing, I just think it's a good change of pace. Following Saitama and Genos around was a good baseline for the first season, but they have to expand on the world and other characters now. You don't want to repeat the one punch scenes too many times, it'll get boring after a while. It's more satisfying to have some buildup first, understand the struggles everyone's going through and then have Saitama delete.

On another note.

Yea, here we go.
