Yeah, they tagged Children of the whales as a shoujo... It's a friggin' war anime where something mildly spoilery happens that definitely breaks that tag.
Is that because one of the heroes is a cute boi?

Also, just 7.3? Not saying it's a masterpiece but it deserves more than that.

First Dragonball anime was ecchi but Z not so much. Maybe it got the tag from the first series?

Joshikousei no Mudazukai, good comedy. Reminded me a lot of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou and Asobi Asobase, though I don't quite think it topped them off. Still pretty damn hilarious, and I was pleasantly surprised it had a specific moment of seriousness and empathy with a high school girl's aspirations with no punchline at the end, made it all the more appealing to me. Hope it gets continued, would really enjoy a second season.

Yeah and people tag random things they don't like as Yaoi, just because.

How about a typical father raises children series but instead of the girl it's a boy -> Yaoi

Father caring for his sick son in his last month -> Yaoi

A story of a dying friend's last moments -> Yaoi

WTF people, I should probably start tagging some hardcore Yaoi as harem/isekai for some revenge.

Finally managed to get a hold of Slayers, one of those rare anime I found on TV years ago that had some A-tier Italian dubbers. I think I found what to do this weekend.

Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?, when the Japanese government decides you need to get healthier But seriously, good idea for an anime, probably more educational and practical than any other I've seen. It actually rekindled and old flame, so I'm going to the gym again and exercising at home (though I've had the thought for a long time now). Other than that, the references were really good, and I mean JoJo and Arnold most of the time. Rest was passable.

Pretty sure I have just one anime remaining from last season that I'd want to watch. Or maybe two. But then I'm off for some oldies myself.

No, but I remember searching for it since Saeba Ryou was featured in Jump Force and I had no idea what series he was from.

Anyway, just finished Kanata no Astra, a very good watch from last season. It had a lot of good ingredients mixed in, sci-fi, romance, survival, some mystery. It started off pretty cliche, straightforward character personalities being the most annoying part, but then developed pretty well and by the time it came to a conclusion it felt fairly satisfying. The story was engaging, not just about defying space, but also about a hidden mystery of origins, planet Astra and the way society developed. What it left me thinking was that the 12 episodes didn't do it justice, the anime visibly rushed some aspects, like internal affairs and politics not being a key component, or how the population was conditioned to accept their history, how there was little to no strife on Astra, and a lot more - but that would be spoiling. Can't help feel it could've been a masterpiece given more time and nurture. That's not to take away anything from the things it did well, really appreciated the feeling of camaraderie they pulled after all that adventure.

Finally gave Durarara!! a try and while it was good, it didn't live to my expectations. Having heard a lot about it beforehand, I have to say I was slightly disappointed. It's still a good series and I definitely plan on watching all the sequels, so kinda hoping it gets better.

Babylon is pretty cool. On surface it's a story about a prosecutor and his criminal investigation. But it asks some questions about society, and has some metaphysical elements. And the latest episode went into a dark direction.

Will definitely be watching it once it ends airing, as well as all the other 8 or so animes from this season that caught my eye at a glance. Definitely a lot of good ones.

For now, still progressing with Durarara!!x2 Shou, definitely better than the first season. Man, every time the chaos is so well orchestrated, it's such an awkward spectacle, leaves me with a grin.

So far there's not that many interesting anime this season.

Waiting for Dorohedoro, will check Haikyuu S4. Somali has an interesting concept and worldbuilding. Also, Eizouken might be the sleeper of this season (it's yet again a story about manga makers, but it has a very unique style and approach). Also Magicka Madoka sequel (?) is interesting enough.

Aside from that Boku no Hero has really heated up with the Heroes vs Overhaul arc, some really cool and epic moments, but I hate how they changed some action sequences in the final battle, which makes it inconsequential...

So far I've been keeping up only with ID:Invaded. To give you an idea, it is a bit reminiscent of Psycho Pass, but still a totally different show.

Any recommendations from the ones more familiar with this season?

Depends on what you're looking for. Although I watch quite a few animes from this season, there's actually none from the new ones that I would whole-heartly recommend as "you need to watch it". Eizouken has potential to be a remembered as it is a very unique in style slice of life about an anime creating club. You already mentioned Invaded which is intriguing and very nice on the technical level. Haikyuu is great but you need to know past 3 seasons. Finally there's Dorohedoro, but I don't know the original, and while definitely out of the ordinary, the anime is currently a mess (chaotic and the pacing is off) and I don't know if this is intended or not. Madoka is meh, doesn't compare to the original plus its seems to be a spin-off.

Oh and Ishuzoku Reviewers is crazy as it is basically a fantasy anime about interracial sex within fantasy tropes. Two protagonists, a human and elf plus a bunch of their freaky friends go from brothel to brothel f*cking everything from tentacled monsters to beastwomen (as in: furry) or demons and write reviews for the male adventurers to research and enjoy. Did I mentioned one of their friends is an angel hermaphrodite? Tons of sex allusions, d*ck jokes and ambiguous humor. The borderline between ecchi and hentai is a thin as a pubic hair It's almost a 4chan member dream come true if it weren't for that pesky censorship It's pretty well animated also. I recommend
