Just watched the first episode of Darker Than Black.
Impressions:
- Opening is badass as ****
- Me like the artstyle
- Main character is interesting, feels like he has different personalities somehow... the kinda confused kid and the darker personality which he shows sometimes...
Can't wait to watch the rest. Definately got me hooked.

Elvin introduced me to it several months ago - it's too damn short and I don't really get what's going on at the end

True dat.
Animes with like 50 episodes tend to get too dragged out though... you can't dilute awesomeness too much.
25 seems to be the golden number, 'least for me.
@Elvin: Will do, second episode downloaded in t-minus 2 minutes, awesomeness will commence.

This anime didn't really become truly awesome until after episode 12, feels like the story is beginning to move forward now rather than just being a random encounter ending with awesome fight scene per episode.

They shouldn't have killed off Havoc though, she was far too likeable.

Though she probably knew too much about Hei's past I guess...
EDIT: Just finished watching the last episode of Darker Than Black.
A beautiful ending, indeed quite confusing but a quick google search with a few explanations made it all clear to me.
Ohh... sequel? I'll watch that

I've heard people snow about the sequel.
Waiting for english dub myself, hei in japanese is just way too fail.
Havoc was awesome, that's granted. And she was a tad too powerful.

Hope you'll enjoy it, it's my favourite anime.
The end fight is just... wow.
Be sure to check out Macross Frontier: The False Diva later. It apparently turned out to be way more than just a movie version of the series.
The Tornado Packs they've added for the VF-25 looks sucky though. The FAST Packs and Armoured Packs were more than enough, and it really doesn't look like it's suited for atmospheric use.
...
I fricking love the main character of Code Geass btw. I was a bit worried about his ability being totally overpowered but the restriction they introduced made it cool.
It's something a bit... Deathnote Light about him.
Art design is awesome too. Pretty original mecha designs as well; I like the roller skates... more logical solution than running.

Code Geass? Let me snob thee and say that you're anime noobs.
Nah, I kid. It's actually a good show. It's just the common way of thinking in anime circles is that if someone likes Code Geass, then he hasn't watched too many anime series just yet.
I don't endorse that opinion, I have to make that clear.

Having watched Code Geass twice (the first time it was among my first anime as not a kid, the second time after watching many other series), the second time was even better than the first. For example, being familiar with Gundam Seed makes it far more amusing.

Anyway, if there's one thing I liked about Code Geass, was the bodycount. I love it when characters of the show die throughout the series. And well, the mecha were pretty cool and Lelouch was an interesting character. But usually, Code Geass, is not the kind of anime series I am after.
