I think it's really cool.
But man do things look hopeless, this mangaka has a way of creating the most overpowered enemies ever. There's no end to the suffering.
It seriously sucks to be a character in this manga.

Currently on chapter 231.
Spoilerish: I found it to be a nice, but somewhat disheartening that Ganz made Tae the target. And when you said that "ANGELINA JOLIE GIRL WAS FLIPPING AWESOME AND DIDN'T DESERVE TO DIE." I was expecting ONLY her to die, and not every single person!
Though it's kinda a relief that Katao is back, and I'm not so certain that Keichan erasing his memory was such a good idea. The loss of a suit and memory is dire indeed, especially with vampies after them outside of the 'game'

I finished the available chapters, and goddamn the last arc was awesomely drawn. Like, Blame! level. The artists unleashed everything.
Also Nishi is awesomest character. Badassery.
EDIT:
The inclusion of vampires was totally random, I still don't get it. I suppose they're just another alien breed but... still weird to have such a traditional monster race as enemies all of a sudden.

He paints up some really nice apocalyptic scenes.
The manga's nothing like Blame! though so don't go in there and get disappointed.
See where ya going with emo, Kei wasn't exactly likeable early on.

Yeah he is abit of a prick, later on it reminds you of it when he loses his memory and goes back to being his old self.
Muscle rider reminds me of the dude from deus ex.

The second to last chapter was pretty obvious with the time jump and all. Still, too bad it got canceled.

I remember some sick artistic design for the aliens, but when we speak of Gantz art, all I can think of is breasts.
And dinosaurs that look like body builders.
And Mindsplosions...
I have to look up this manga again someday...

Can only vouch for the manga. Dunno which one has nicer boobs.
Also watching Basilisk. Prewty badass.
Funny how I recognize all these ninja clans from Total War. 'Cept if Ivor threw these kinda ninjas at me there wouldn't be much left of me.

Hey Ivor I think you'd like Basilisk, it's set under the Sengoku Jidai except in this story the clans go "Dude we can't waste our shiny samurai on the battlefield, let's just pit our ninja clans against each other in all-out-slaughter".
Also got some Romeo and Juliet story going on between the clans.
I read a bit of the manga earlier but this is way better.

Basilisk would be much better if it would be a bit lengthier. It's characters were getting killed off too quickly and they were all cool. They could give them some more screen time before killing them. But otherwise, it was a great anime.
