Watching Gurren Lagann.
My face when the main character stares at boobs and the mech powers up and I realize that the mecha is in fact powered by SEX.
Or "manly spirit" or whatever, I call it SEX.
Kick ass.
Pretty enjoyable, fun characters.

So I watched the whole of the Berserk anime back to back with my sister and parents and I must say that it makes me look at Adrius' avatar with completely new eyes. Now I'm very interested in getting into the original graphic novels by Miura Kentaro.
Also, I think it's a bit questionable that Caska constantly got into these "almost raped" situations. Almost as if it wasn't even necessary half the time.

Glad to hear that, the manga is worth it. But depending on the person it can get too much at times  Miura is probably one of the most messed up minds I have knownn.

I dunno.. she's one of the few females on the front line... I can see it happen. Terror of the battlefield and whatnot, but the rape scenes do serve their purpose of portraying just how effing evil some people are and are not just fanservice (yeah, messed up but totally possible in Japan).
I don't think he's that messed up to be honest... violent and perverted at times, but it's all directed towards a purpose... pushes the story forward, develops characters and everything... or just makes the slaying of the basterds all the more satisfying.

Correction to an earlier statement made about the time period in which Basilisk takes place. It's true that Tokugawa Ieyasu is Shogun, but turns out that the year is pretty clearly stated as the 19th of Keichou which is at the very end of the Azuchi-Momoyama period, just a year or so before the beginning of the Edo period. However, it still has been over 40 years since Sengoku.

Considering what Brazilian Jujutsu meant for MMA I'm freaked out about what Brazilian Ninjutsu might be o_O
Ninjutsu without all the stealth and weapons and effing geography training and all the other stuff generally just seems like a slightly deadlier form of Jujutsu to me.
I'm calling bull**** based on some google searches ^^

Oh god this is the One Piece of mecha anime. Gurren Lagann is just so much joy.
The progression in scope this anime does from its first episode to the last ones is insane. It just gets more and more epic every episode.
The mecha that the main char pilots go from being small as a car to being large as a planet. That's how epic it is.
