I... started reading Naruto. And it's not that bad. It's worth reading so far (I'm about 25 chapters in).

It's your typical shounen manga, friendship ũber alles and constant powerups on both sides.

Read it only when you're bored out of your mind at work or class or something so you don't waste your precious quality time.

So Sasuke and Naruto are going super saiyan by  episode 134. I'm rolling my eyes. Shikimaru is my favorite Naruto, though, guys.

Naruto is good when it tries to emulate a PG 13 ninja scroll, imo.

Totally unrelated as far as I know.

Except for you know, effing ninjas.

Absolutely. Shadow manipulation tactics and ****, actually uses traps and some thinking.

Chouji/Shika/Ino is a more likeable team overall.

I think Ninja Resurrection is considered the spiritual successor to Ninja Scroll.

As to Basilisk, I have the entire manga series.  I read it once but have no desire to do so again.  It's essentially Romeo & Juliet with ridiculous ninjas.

That is because the Ninja Scrolls novel is essentially a Romeo & Juliet with ridiculous ninjas.

So I've just finished Brotherhood and all I can say is: wow! That was a great anime. Compared to the 2003 series this is just amazing! The other one was extremely focused on human transmutation and homunculi, while this one had more focus on the philosopher stone and the 'Truth'. Homunculi played a nice part too, really loved Greed and Envy in his last moments. Didn't like that Lust died so early, but on the other hand I liked that she was burned to a crisp by Roy. That col. Mustang was a great character, too bad there was nothing more dramatic between him and Riza. That moment when he was setting Envy ablaze to avenge Hughes could have been a good moment for something like that to happen, and I was actually looking forward to it, but... Nvm, it was still great! The "Father" figure was interesting, and his National Transmutation Circle plan was just... mindblowing. I couldn't believe the scale of it all when it actually happened during that eclipse. The thing that I don't like about him is that his past, the one before he was a "dwarf in a flask" is still unknown, it would have been interesting to see his creation. The 'Truth' was so... enigmatic. The white guy claimed he was god, that he is all and all is one and bla bla bla, bold sentences but no substance, I was looking for something more interesting, like something "behind" alchemy, something conceived that only he knew. Other than that he was just a prick. And I still don't know what's behind that gate... what was that white eye on the other side?

So really glad I watched it, giving it a 5/5 easily. I hope they do some sequels, they got plenty of room now with the brothers going East and West. Great anime

Oh Jin you crazy basterd. **** just got real.

Story moves so fast, but if you know the game storyline it's so awesome. Love how they play with alternate timelines as well, loled at Hazama being pissed at Takahamagara ruining his fun

Log Horizon is pretty good, except for when it tries to be funny. Then it's a failure. Overall, it's not as good as Sword Art Online.

I'm almost 500 chapters into Naruto. I don't see why it gets all the hate. It's not a masterpiece, unlike Bleach, but it's far from awful. Naruto (the character) has become much less annoying than he was before the time skip.
Edit: I didn't think anyone could be more annoying than Part 1 Naruto or Konohamaru, but Killa Bee is.

Wut?

It's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than SAO. Sao was a failure, it was good up till 4th episode or so and then it went all the way down to why god why department.

This was kinda the opposite, the first episode was just meh, the second was good and it's been on the way up since.

This is not supposed to be an action shounen anime like SAO this is much, much more.

Naruto hate comes from the anime I think, for a long running action shounen manga it's as good as they come, which means a decent time kill if you've got nothing else to do. The beginning chapters were pretty nice, your regular action kid grows strong kinda story, then it had the superman build up phase and got actually good for a while came down to why am I even reading this snow and now I've just been waiting for it to end for the last year or so.

SAO was brilliant, at least the first arc was. The characters were great, the romance was excellent, the soundtrack, the animation... If not for the second arc, it'd be top-10-anime-of-all-time material.

SAO started as a MMORPG world, it stopped being one by the end of the sixth episode. This was my biggest issue with the series. 4 out of the first five episodes dealt with it like they were supposed to. Then they just conveniently forgot the whole issue and just went your general shounen action on the series for the next 8.

Let's not even speak of stuff after episode 13, the writer got bored of his own story, wanted to do something else, his editor was stupid enough to let him. Thus, tentacle rape. Wtf people?

SAO never forgot that it was an MMO world. The murder in the town arc relied on game mechanics pretty explicitly, Kirito vs Heathcliff 1 couldn't have taken place anywhere except in an MMO, same for the Yui arc, etc, etc. That said, that's not really the point of SAO. The point of SAO is Kirito as an exemplar, and his relationship with Asuna.

Have caught up with All Rounder Meguru, by Hiroki Endo(Eden). Nowhere near Eden level but its art and humour feel heartwarmingly familiar Has a strong focus on grappling and groundfighting so it takes someone who has practiced them to properly appreciate the fights.

Currently reading Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind and I am in love with it. It tells the story of Nausicaä, a princess of a small kingdom on a post-apocalyptic Earth with a new ecological system, who becomes involved in a war between kingdoms while an environmental disaster threatens the survival of humankind. On her journey, she struggles to bring about a peaceful coexistence among the people of her world, as well as between humanity and nature. A fascinating read so far.

Started watching some comedy anime about some highschool guy cursed with having to choose between 2 awkward actions at random times. I don't even know, can't even figure out what's it's named in english it's so weird, apparently it's popular maybe one of you heard of it.

Moe as all **** and has an absolutely horrifying OP and every single girl seems perpetually turned on since they have 24/7 blushes on their cheeks. Legal loli? Dog girl? What even is this, a fetisch competition?

I ****ing hate almost everything about it.

Yet it's so effing weird that it's somehow charming.

*continues watching*
