not very much into it, can only name a handfull of them. and definetely not a huge manga nut, as the so called "manga revolution" of our local book publishers went completely downhill. only successful translations were of naruto(to an extent) and Dragon Ball.
Out of the printed mangas I own three volumes of Hellsing, and 2 tomes of manga adaptation of Vampire Hunter D.

been lost the interest a few years back, got onto the track with the Hellsing OVAs, which was a bloody epic expirience.

A while back one of my local TV channels used to broadcast a good dose of shonen anime, untill they did a pretty stupid thing and broadcasted Hellsing, which is an entire different thing. but the again the imbeciles that run the local TV stations think that The Simpsons is for kids.
After some stupid broaf complained they've even moved the airing of Full Metal Alchemist into 22.30. Stupid bleeping imbeciles.

I like the stuff where you have guns and blades in action and whatnot mostly. Some fantasy as well, started to watch Claymore just a few hours ago. After one episode seems interesting. should keep me going for a few weeks.

out of more light hearted ones I've enjoyed Love Hina, however goofy and out of the world silly it was. Keitaro was a dumbass clumsy basterd. and some episodes were completely in the WTF section. but hey, japs. World's capital of crazy.

Interesting.

Well, my anime/manga experience is purely on the net. I don't own anything related to that in print, plushies or whatnot. And I definitely don't enjoy watching anything on TV because of limitations (airing time, number of episodes).

Make sure to share your thoughts on whatever you watch, I'd be quite interesting to see your take on things.

allright. Claymore.
Blonde broads with demonic powers use oversized swords to battle flesh eating mosnters.

That's the TL;DR version.

Pretty nice, apart from the crappy ending which seemed to cut down in the middle of it. ugghh.

Oversized swords? check.
use of limb disembodiment? check.
chopping gigantic monsters into mince meat? check.
Overly sexualised broads with insanely huge tits and ass? nope.

One thing that bothered me, and many other series is guilty of that as well, is when a bad guy is injured and healing back, the good guys decide to yap about on some trivial bullcrap explaining one thing or another, and the super badass monster heals/regenerates and sweeps the floor with them. separate the basterd's head from it's shoulders then yap about it! jesus.

action scenes are pretty nice and enjoyable. Limb disembodiment is a tad slightly overused here imo.

Also with the whole claymore concept I personally felt the Witcher wibe in it.
A hybrid/mutant/whatever vagabond designed to kill monsters for cash. both are scorned/resented by the general populace, but can't go on without them. also they both have a unique pair of eyes, and carry their blades on their backs which would be completely unpractical in real life, but I guess this doesn't count if you're a mutant/hybrid with superhuman abilities. That's where similiarities pretty much end.

but it was a pretty nice ride. didn't last as long as I'd liked but whatever.

If you want something really good that lasts a bit longer, you should definitely go for Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Also Shingeki no Kyojin is pretty sweet as well but only lasts for 25 episodes, after which there's only some ovas and the manga.

I watched Brotherhood awhile back after I finished Hellsing. pretty good, although the shonenesque goofyness in some interactions between the main cast was a bit of a turn down for me.

And Attack on titan imo is way to overhyped. went off like naruto in those terms.

I enjoyed Claymore because it remained on a serious tone the whole time.
A properly done series. shame there is no second season as it ended in the middle.

the downside is I watched it in like 3-4 days.

Trust me, there's nothing goofy about Shingeki. It's just super intense, I watched it 6 times, last time with my bro, which began watching it again today.

Watching Rosario now just because of Veco mentioning it all the time. Guess Halloween is the best time to go for some vampire action...

not much vampire or action in that one. Unless you count pantsu as action

oh and will you watch Cromartie High School if I mention it frequently enough too? English dub is superbly made for that one

The Garden of Words.

Anime taken to the next level.
45 minutes of pure visual delight and some good drama. You won't see Anime with the same eyes ever again.

You should all watch it. Now. I did on KissAnime in 1080p HD - Sub, Dub

Watching it in dub too and it's still amazing. So amazing..

Well, I don't know where I'd put this anime other than on the never-ever-watch-again shelf in the far back. One thing that I appreciated tho was the mild halloweenish feel which put me in the mood for some vampire action. But naturally, anything vampire on a serious note over 17+ is horror... Great
