I have to admit that I'm enjoying these Naruto episodes very much, even though they're fillers. They have that good vibe about them that Naruto used to have. Really happy they brought that back for a few episodes.

Other than that I've just been reading manga. I'll resume watching anime actively pretty soon. Starting with the Code Geass second season, as suggested by RMZ.

And here I thought I was missing out on a lot of anime conversations. What the hell happened to this place?

Been watching Rurouni Kenshin, the prologoue was nice enough I guess (the voice actor was a little souless tho), but the actual anime had me totally absorbed, many of the eps are pretty lighthearted but has been fun to watch, nearing the end to just reflecting back on it, plus I can feel that it is nearing the end, the quality of the story has been going somewhat downhill, but the magic is still there, maybe it's not going downhill just racing toward the end. Plus the uber slow romance, I don't really mind, but I get the sense that it shouldn't take years for you to realize that you fancy the person whose house you've been squatting in.

The next anime is probably going to be sword art online, but before that ima rewatch or just watch a couple of eps of spice and wolf, really in my frisky mood. >.<

Started watching Code Geass second season. Gotta say I'm hooked completely.

Edit: Finished it. A splendid anime! Predicted him sacrificing himself. Too bad he's still alive after that, it would've been much more dramatic and powerful if he actually died. But that scene was really great.

Makes you think a lot. Definitely in my top 5. Thanks for the recommend Mvass and RMZ.

Hahaha, almost finished Sword art Online, overall it had an enjoyable story, the pace is not what I am used to, but still wubbed it.

Oh a slight Season 2 spoiler but my best moment of the anime (out of all animes actually).

Wub

_______
Couple weeks back I also tried watching the Gantz anime since it was one of the first mangas that I read (and the only one I read to the end, great protagonist development), but I could not stand the anime, the protagonist is just too much of an ***hole (he was in the manga too, but the addition of a crap voice just makes it unbearable, could just be me tho).

EDIT: GAH STEVIE, watch the spoilers man...

The manga is just as bad. It had a good start and it tried to be interesting but it ended up a bloody disaster. Plotholes and reasoning that defy any lines of logic, essentially dumbing down the reader as it progressed. Couple that with some questionable elements, vampire samurais that didn't get a resolution, underdeveloped and badly developed characters and you get why the author rushed the final chapters like he himself was admitting that it turned out like crap.

Flashy destruction, violence and and nudity are all great but you can get those with any action/ecchi manga. But the problem with Gantz is that it aimed for a deeper meaning and that is where it failed. Miserably. Everything after the Osaka arc was just a waste of time.

I read Gantz on and off, only reading a few parts here and there, notably towards the end.  I'm still not really sure what the point of all of it was.  Something about giants and friendship I think.  Or am I getting it confused with Attack on Titan?

The point was that there was no point. Reading Gantz was just for the "HOLY MOTHER OF EFFING VIOLENCE AND NUDITY" factor. It got dumb when the author insisted in there being a point to it.

My memory is hazy, but I remember it differently. The story had no point agreed, the vampires made ****all sense, and the ending (the revelation I mean) was very anticlimactic. Idk, cannot remember what I liked about it, but thinking back I loved the romance with Tae (after everyone dies and that blob kills everyone at the school) none of that lusty crap before it.

Idk, I enjoyed it, perhaps for reasons that are wholly obscured to me now.

Blame! level? Really? If you're snowting me I'll nerver forgive you for making me read that pile of emo garbage.

Hahaha I still remember that

Also I remember Basilisk very fondly too, watched it right at the hight of my ninja hype. Now that my Japan (samurai and ninjas) phase is making a full swing around I may read it again.

EDIT: I knew there was a reason I loved SAO's music and why it sounded so familiar, the music is composed by Yuki Kajiura, same guy that did the amazing Fate soundtrack.

I don't get the deal with Yhwach and his eyes, seems such a Naruto-ish trope. Speaking of Naruto, the fillers aren't that amazing right now. The fights lack quality and they're more about shouting big words than actual martial arts and jutsu.

Possibly my favourite scene from Attack on Titan, illustrates everything that is awesome about it, near perfect voice acting and delivery.

A part that I really like about Shingeki no Kyojin is when the characters express their trauma and how they fight to overcome it. Jean is an excellent example, and also my favorite character in the anime.
